I did speak to DCL about the private dining room

Wouldn't it be neat to just get the whole restaurant to ourselves??

Inside PALO, behind some glass doors, there lies a private dining room

Per DCL CMs, it is used frequently by the captain for special dinners for guests and to reward CMs for a job well done.

Guests can also reserve the dining room!

The only problem with reserving it for us now is DCL STILL hasn't decided which night of our cruise will be Pirate Night

So we wait...

I see you are going in September?

We'd love to join the group for Dinner at Palo. If there's room, please out my husband and I on the list.

We are going in September, to kind of test the waters. My DH is a little concerned about having the kids on a boat in the water. All the reports of people overboard lately have not helped my "safe" argument.

We went on a three night in March to try it out too.

We did a 3 night in Feb on The Wonder with our then 20 month old ds, I had the same fears re safety but need not have worried, the Disney ships are very child friendly!
Can't speak for other CL though as not been on any!
We will be with you next Oct too as our little trip in February gave us the DCL Bug!!

We usually fly with Virgin and are hoping to use some of our flying club 'miles + money' this time, to make it a bit cheaper as both DD's are now charged adult rates!!! I looked into this Octobers prices, just to give me some idea of what to expect, and I think we're looking at around £400 p/person mark. We would have liked to upgrade our seats but, as we've splashed out on a Cat.3 stateroom for the cruise, the money situation is looking a little 'dire' at the moment Who do you usually fly with? The only other airline we've tried was Travel City Direct and we endured a 25 hour delay then, so don't want to risk repeating the experience!!!

Our DS will also be 14 when we cruise, hope they can hook up maybe!!
He is looking forward to The Loft as last time we went he had to go to The Lab!!

Still not booked our flights, we have used most now but last time did TCD & it was great-Better than Virgin in fact!
Will wait till after Xmas to book I think as they are SO expensive right now!!

This is still MY BIG SECRET as I'v not told DH or DS that we're booked to cruise again!! LOL when they find out!!

rylisal - You're a sneeky one! There's NO WAY I could keep my mouth shut after I booked our cruise. I was so excited that if I couldn't tell my son, I'd BURST!!! It would be great if we could meet up on the cruise. On our last cruise (April '07) I also brought my daughter and her friend (both 17) so my son hung around with them. He didn't go to the clubs at all.

I keep looking for flights, but they're not available until 12 or 13 months prior to departure (I think!). I'm also looking into a hotel near the airport so we can spend a couple of days in FL before the cruise. Last cruise we didn't do that and I was exhausted by the time we got on the boat.

I talked to Jackie & Peg on Saturday and they did tell me that you would be meeting up with us at some point - I'm still going to hope you get on the ship too!
