saw a link on mortys tv that the amazing race has one more series then cbs has not renewed it!!!how can that be? its way better than bb or survivor!
:confused3 :confused3

So much better than ANY reality show--that's why it wins the Emmy every year. They are showing that Kid Nation in its time slot tonight. I am hoping it returns in January.

Victoria now I definitely need to make sure I get to Racine and visit you before Thanksgiving. I love the Door County wines from a winery that I think starts with a L, I hope my sister still has a bottle left that I took up to her so she can check the name for me.

Hmmmm, not sure which one that is--let me know if you find out--I would be interested. Remember, you are welcome at our little store anytime. :)

Guess that is enough talking to myself for a while. Better get ready for book club.

One last question - do any of you take beach towels at all? I could take out 2 more from the case. I know they provide them onboard, but I always have taken my own. Should I take them out?

Karen, I'll agree with Cheryl and Heather. Leave your beach towels at home. :)

Lori I agree with Jen, Door County is a wonderful place to visit! I have been going in the fall for a get away weekend with a few friends from work the last few years and we won't be able to make it this year because we can't all find a common weekend that will work and I am very sad about that. Lots of good food (if you ever do go there a fish boil is a must), quaint shops, and very laid back and relaxing.

Cheryl, we've been to the Door ourselves. A husband and wife salesperson team that I work with have a house in Sister Bay right on Lake Michigan and we got to stay there. B E A U T I F U L!! Loved the little shops and the restaurant where the sheep are on the roof. (Forgot the name).

Nancy we'll continue to keep Spencer inour thoughts and prayers. Here's a  for you my friend. It must be so very hard to see your godson like that

Thank you Cheryl. Nothing new to report on him today. :guilty:

Cass: Great wedding picture and story to go along with it. You two were meant to be. Now how about some more Kira pictures for us plz?princess: (also, great job on the Loser table last week:banana: ...sorry, I'm a little behind lately).

Carrie, How is Scott's back doing? I haven't seen him here in a while. Everything ok?:confused3

:lmao: :lmao:

shes starting to scare me.:scared: its becoming an obsession.

You talking about my exercising? Yeah, but wait till you see my guns.:worship:

Hmm, ok, I will ask again...did you check your advanced internet options on Explorer under the tools menu? I don't THINK you answered that but I could have missed it

Yes, I checked that when I first started posting on the boards a couple of years ago.

Sorry it took me so long to answer. I was busy last night plus our internet has been going several times for extended periods the last couple of days.

I have had it with Road Runner and Time Warner. I'm tired of getting timed out before I finish typing an email and sick of my internet, digital cable and digital phone going out all the time.

:) Ok, I'm done venting. :)

Cass,

Loss of the internet has gotten me behind on my reading, but I did see your wedding pic. Nice pic. :thumbsup2

Also, thanks for trying to help me solve my animation problem. Let me know if you think of anything else. :goodvibes

I have a computer degree and it's driving me crazy. I may have to talk to the techies at work. Maybe they'll think of something I'm not. :confused3

You got that right. If disappear suddenly... that means my internet went out. We've had trouble for 2 days.

There is 6 of us on here. Everyone must be trying to catch up.

I love the pumpkin idea in the picture especially since it is a FALL festival. the day is Oct 6th. I not only need to do the one for our class but also extra as that is my assigned thing from the PTSO. I got bounce houses and climbing wall donated but we need some little games too.

Ok so here are my ideas. I only have 2 right now.

#1 a pumpkin race. You would get a baby pumpkin and use a normal eating spoon. Th pumpkin is bigger then the spoon which is the challange. They have to balance the pumpkin on the spoon and run the the finish line. If they make it without the pumpkin falling off the win a decent prize. Everyone who plays gets a little prize for try (such as a sticker or something little). They can only use the hand that holds the spoon, the other hand needs to be behind their back.

#2 pumpkin bowling. You would get enough baby pumpkins to set up like bowling pins. Then you would get a baseball for the kid to roll at the pins. They would not fall down but you could count how many they hit or that move and give a prize depending on that.

Personally I like #1 better it sounds more fun for the kids. I will let you know if I come up with anymore. When do you need to know by?

He said he is still taking the pain reliever. I gave him the option to come home from work last night if the pain was to bad (last night was a voluntary OT, so he really did not even have to go in). He made it the whole night. He said when he got up today that he was stiff, and it is a dual ache, the numbness in the leg is starting to go away. He actually bent down to kiss me goodbye tonight and he is not walking with a limp. I think by this weekend he will be fine.

Ok so here is another idea. The bean bag toss, and the cake walk or dessert walk. These were Scott's ideas.

Been there, done that. Is it his sciatic nerve?

That is still going to be one heck of a great trip!!! And a ton of planning and packing! I can only imagine. Have you thought of those bags that you can vacume the air out of? Space savers? We used them on our last cruise and it saved us a ton and a half of room. We even had clothing that we never wore.

Nooooo, we get there on the 13th, 7 days of disney, cruise 20-27, then disney for another 3 days before flying home.

I will be losing most of the 21 days but it still worked out one of the cheapest and easiest way of buying the tickets.

Hey there everybody...

Just packed up my disgtag bags - holy cow - they take up a 1/3 of a suitcase:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: - I dont think I should have made them up:rolleyes1 - they were all just small little piles of stuff before hand...now theres 20 lumpy bags in a holdall:rolleyes:

There is noooo waaaayyy I am unpacking them all. I'll just have to leave some of Neils clothes behind:lmao:

I am beginning to panic over the amount of luggage and the weight we're allowed to fly with.

Neil absolutely refuses to take more than 3 regular suitcases and a smaller suitcase and 1 hand luggage.

I on the other hand need the rolling cooler in the hold aswell as another hand luggage holdall.

His point is valid - they wont all fit in the car once the 3 of us are in it too.:lmao:

How are the rest of you managing? I know Cass is laiden with luggage with Kiras stuff but what about the rest of you? Are you all struggling for room?

I have already limited my shoes from 10 pairs to just 5, 2 handbags instead of 6 and no suit jacket for Neil or Ellis. What else can I throw out?

I have decanted into smaller bottles for toiletries, taken out 2 beach towels, and crossed a few t shirts and vest tops off my list. I'll be left in my swimsuit for formal night at this rate:scared1:

I havent even started packing formal dresses and clothes yet. All thats in so far is toilettries, t shirts and shorts etc. I cant even lift one case its soooo heavy:eek:
