This one is for Susan:

I like pie.

Oh gawwwwwwwwwwwwd!! Not you too!! LOL

He told me the internet at school was acting up so his teacher told him to log on and see if it was up. He all of a sudden yells, "It's up!" She goes over and he has googled PIE and there are all these pics of pie on the screen. LOL She says, "Why pie?" He just says, "I like pie." Go figure.

Robin: I hear ya on the RR and Time Warner. I'm not really impressed with them yet. Seems like I have more internet problems now than I did on dial up. Also, the guide went out on the tv for 3 days. I had all old stuff listed on it for quite sometime. A friend of mine had Warner out at her house 8 times after the initial install for different things..mostly the internet.

We keep calling them, they send out a technician and he says they always have trouble in our area. Then he says call this supervisor. The supervisor isn't available and will call back within 24 to 48 hrs. It's been 10 days. :headache:

No one will help us. :confused3

We have never even been able to get the channels we're paying for. I'm checking in to dish network. My son has it and he likes it.

Hi everyone,

Really quite sad around here. Yesterday, we were told that our dear dog, Sasha, has a malignant tumor on her leg. The lab tests says it's "highly suggestive of sarcoma" which means cancer. :sad1: She's 9.5 years old, and looks and acts quite healthy. She has a surgical consultation tomorrow, and if they agree with the surgery, it will probably be on Monday. I'm not even sure yet what kind of cancer. She's been the best dog, so very affectionate. We had her long before we had kids. Our hearts are breaking.

I'll keep everyone posted, but from what I've been reading on canine cancers, and the size of the tumor, it's not looking too good.

I am sorry to hear about your dog. Please keep us posted.

I am off to do LDD bathtime while my pictures are loading. I am hoping to get some coins rolled and laundry done while up there.

I'm sorry. :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: I love poochies.

I am uploading the pictures of this weekend to photobucket so I can post them tonight.

Yeah... I love pictures!!

Tina, I'm so sorry to hear about your pooch. They become regular little family members and it hurts us when they hurt. Hopefully her surgery will be minimal and she'll back to herself in no time. Plz do keep us updated.:flower3:

I am uploading 34 pictures. Hmmm should I post them each in a different post to help our post count or should I multi post them.

I think you should post them separately. We need those post counts you know. Carrie, I remember way back when you were concerned about reaching 1000 posts. Look at you now girl. You're in second place!!:cheer2:

Ok so here is another idea. The bean bag toss, and the cake walk or dessert walk. These were Scott's ideas.

Someone stole those already. Dangit.. they didn't tell me I had to do it until well into the planning..

How hard would it be do a giant twister board? Or musical chairs without the chairs since that could get someone hurt..

Susan, I didn't get to read what you are looking for but it seems like kids games of some sort?

How about renting one of those Electronic Basketball Games. Have the kids shoot hoops and keep track. Break the teams down by age groups. The kids who shoot the most in their age category in a one minute time wins a prize. You could do it in 1 hour intervals.:confused3

OR...Contact a lock company (Like Master Lock) and ask for a bunch of old keys. Get one lock with a real key or two. Bury all the keys in some sand and the kids get to try one key to unlock the lock. Lock up a bunch of stuffed animals in a dog kennel. If the key opens the lock, they get to pick a stuffed animal.

Is this the kind of stuff you're looking for?:confused3

Mackenzie pulled of her first chain on the countdown tonight. The questions was. Which character are you wanting to see first. Her answer was Arieal (sp)

That is a terrific idea Carrie.... I hope mackenzie sees her right away!!

You can have ours. It's probably next to the engine room. (That's where we were the last time) We're Cat 12 GTY, too

You have to bring your own oars though. :lmao:

Well, at least we will be in good company then!! I believe that there are only13 Cat 12 rooms and we have 2 and you have 1...and if they are still advertising them as available, then maybe we have a chance of being bumped if they sell them?
Since this is our first DC, I imagine that we won't spend too much time in the room anyway!

My sheltie had to be put down for cancer. We had two surgeries and she had a good life (after the pain of healing from each of them) for 3 years after diagnosis. The second time we had the surgery they told us that it had spread and that when it got bad we would know.

I'll keep your Sasha and your family in my thoughts... such a hard thing to be going through.:grouphug:

I just looked outside...it's SNOWING!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my gosh! NOOO!!!! It's too early!

Oh yeah, me like the cherry pie too made with Door County Cherries!! Good luck with your drinking tonight. I have book club tonight--so I know I will be having some wine tonight!!

Yummy....there's a little place in Gills Rock that makes great pie...

Lori I agree with Jen, Door County is a wonderful place to visit! I have been going in the fall for a get away weekend with a few friends from work the last few years and we won't be able to make it this year because we can't all find a common weekend that will work and I am very sad about that. Lots of good food (if you ever do go there a fish boil is a must), quaint shops, and very laid back and relaxing.

I have not done a fish boil yet...but we'll get around to it! My mom got a timeshare up there, so we'll be going every year in July!

Jen you'll have to tell me more about that restaurant at our meet on Sun. That sounds like alot of fun and I'd like to check it out next time I get to Door County!

Can't wait to meet you Sun.

Will do...it's the neatest place!

Cheryl, we've been to the Door ourselves. A husband and wife salesperson team that I work with have a house in Sister Bay right on Lake Michigan and we got to stay there. B E A U T I F U L!! Loved the little shops and the restaurant where the sheep are on the roof. (Forgot the name).

The place with the goats on the roof is Al Johnson's....

Next time you go, order swedish pancakes with strawberries...the whipped cream they put on top was about 6-8 inches tall!!! Heavenly!

Yes! Great ideas!!! I knew you all would have answers for me. I was out all day with my very elderly clients from florida. I must say they are the cutest little couple. But even I can't get a word in edgewise with the little old ladies! So I was not able to do any of my other junk.

I don't know if I posted this or not so forgive me if it is a duplicate post. We rolled all of our silver coin and finished earlier this week...total....drumroll.............$730.00. We are going to take the pennies in to one of those machines instead of rolling them all.
