Morning all !!!

Karen, we did the mini cruise to Egypt and Israel from Cyprus too ! What a night mare.... thankfully nothing like DCL!!! didnt know the boat had sunk..............:confused3 not surprised though.... glad all got off ok.

When abroad you do wonder about safety standards dont you. Im very happy with Disney, I think they take it how it shouold be taken, very seriously!

Nancy, how many people are on for Distag now? Im getting worried we wont be able to get enough room in our suitcases to play. Can we make a few simple guidlines? Like gift must be small or consumable.... otherwise our cases off the cruise will be bursting. On our last cruise we swopped gifts with about 4 other Dissers, but they were soooo generous to Elouise, we had a bag stuffed full of treats. We had a very generous baggage allowance with Virgin then of 64 kgs per person! We were ON the limit on the way home. Its now been cut to 46kgs per person, or you pay big bucks to get stuff back to the UK !

Been practicing kickboxing again this morning, my hand is sore, where Elouise has been using it for a kicking pad! Guess for Mothers day i should ask for some pads! :rotfl:

Angel is lovely, its is a strong type of perfume, not for everyone, either you love or hate it. It has a strong undertone of chocolate! :) I like it cos alot of lighter perfumes wear off me very quickly, Opium and Angel stay all day.

Im off dag racing toight ( Greyhound racing) with work. We go for a 3 course meal, free bar :yay: and £10 of free racing bets... all for nothing!
Should be fun...... Wayne keeps telling me to bet on the dog who does a poo before the race.. .cos he's lighter, so can run faster :rotfl2:

Hi Lindy

I agree with the size of tag prezzies:eek: - our Virgin allowance is pitiful this year compared to last year. I would like a postcard from everyones home town. We make a scrapbook of our trips and it would be lovely to add those postcards from all our dis friends to see where they have travelled from. My only concern with chocolate is that it would be in my stomach way before I even saw the ship:rotfl: We are there for a week before. If i open the hotel fridge and see a Ripple (my ultimate favourite) there is no way it wouldnt jump from the fridge shelf straight into my mouth.;) Unless there was a slice of chesecake in there too and then they'd have to fight for space in that mouth of mine:rotfl:

We also have to take a booster seat for Ellis for the car - more luggage:sad2: - not heavy just bulky. We would buy one over there but we already have 4 - one for each car and one for nannys so it seems silly buying yet another.

Have fun at the dogs - win lots:goodvibes

:scared1: OMG, Nancy! That's horrible. I can't even imagine all that work and cost too. I'd be devastated. I'm so glad that you we able to get past all that and now have better home owners insurance too.[/QUOTE]
It was only "Stuff". No loss of life and no one got sick. Considering some of the "things" we found floating around in our basement that could have belonged to anyone.:scared: When I say "things" I don't mean the neighbors store purchases either. Picture it, if you may...the flood affected all of our neighbors and their "toilet" (sewage) system. :scared1: EEEEWWWW!!

One of our neighbors had over 12 feet of raw sewage...filled up the basement completely and then a couple feet into the first floor living area.

Ok, enough of the doom and gloom of a decade ago. On to much nicer things.:flower3:

Ripple?? The only Ripple I know of is one I used to drink in the girls room in high school during a restroom break. :rotfl2: One to work up the nerve to go back to my Home Ec class....BORING!!!!

I also agree on the DIStag gifts. Something small, inexpensive, and perhaps hometown related. Linda, was that you or Karen who wants to make Christmas ornaments from our DIStag gifts? I can't remember who it was, but someone had a great idea about the ornaments.:confused3

We still have to decide on a DISmeet though. We probably should have one before the tag game starts...or if that's not possible, you could all just stop by my (oops, I mean "our" ;) ) cabin and I will have tag sheets and magnets for everyone in a nice little Fish Extender I received from another DISer last month. As long as EVERYONE fully understands the rules of the game, I see no reason why we can't do it that way. That way we could start our game on Saturday. Of course, I could always send your tag sheet and magnets to you in the mail before the cruise if you prefer that instead. I will bring extras just in case someone forgets to pack them. We may not be able to meet up for the first time until Monday (our first at-sea day). We will all be busy again on Tues and Wed which leaves Thursday to play tag again.

Jeff (where are you???) had a pretty good idea about meeting Sunday morning after the Character Breakfast (for some) and before Key West but I'm also afraid that it may be rushed. Let's face it, some of us won't meet face to face until then and since this thread is loaded with "Chatty Cathy's" and "Yappy Yuls" I'm thinking a half hour won't be enough. :lmao: (BTW...looking at the length of this post, I am definitely including myself as a Chatty Cathy).:rolleyes1

Any other ideas??

We also have to come up with a way to identify the Konked Kruisers in the terminal on Saturday. Some suggestions were, Hawaiian Leis (Heather), Mardi Gras Beads (Nancy), oh, oh, I forgot the last one (sorry). And one plea from Canada for NO GREEN SHIRTS!! :rotfl:

OK, post is getting long and my coffee is getting cold.

You sure know how to start someone's morning!! Thanks for not D.I.D!! (refer to a previous PM from you to me about your Falalalalafofarah thread).:dance3:

It took me an entire cup of Kona coffee this morning before I could figure out what you meant by D.I.D. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

If I may say so, I am particularly proud of the word problem. :rotfl2:

Those sewer back-ups are nasty! We haven't had any problems like that (knock wood) but we definitely have lots of water issues right now. :scared:

Have a good day everyone...we're off to run errands in the snow. Yeah, I know it sounds crazy but that's life in the middle of the USA...one day you've got hail and tornados and the next you've got a winter blast with flurries.

Hey...Michelle (I hope that's the right name)...where in St. Peters are you if you don't mind my asking? We're near I-70 and Bryan Road.

PS. Nancy, you kill me! Yappy Yuls...are you thinking of Yul Brenner?

Have a great weekend and people over the pond stay warm and safe....won't be on much as am away again next week (no Brenda not the dwarf, female this time) and have loads of stuff to sort...:) QUOTE]

A female dwarf? :lmao:

:lmao: I just KNEW you'd pick-up on that.....:rotfl2:

12 POINTS CLEAR AT THE TOP COME ON MY BELOVED UNITED:banana:  OH THE PAIN OF BEING A LIVERPOOL FAN TODAY....:rotfl2:

I couldn't let that slide by...too tempting. I did try to refrain from asking if you were going to participate in a dwarf tossing competition, but since you've revived the subject I have no choice (or self-control or shame) but to bring it up. ;)

By the way - in response to your earlier PM, I really do want to cruise with you wacky Brits. I suppose the fair question is do you really want to cruise with us gun-happy, sleep-deprived Americans? :rotfl2:

I knew you'd figure out the D.I.D!!! You smarty pants you!!

And yes, Yul Brenner is correct. That and the fact that I couldn't think of a male name that starts with a "Y". :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Happy errand running. I'm off to do the same as soon as Chuck gets home from work. He likes to drive the "Taxi" as it's much better than his "Honey-Do" list here at home.

pixiedust: poof, look who apears.

You could have called us the Talkative Tom's.

pixiedust: poof, he's gone again.

Need a few ages of the children:

Judy (jdkdorn) Kaitie, Sean, and Markie

Rose (scouter) Sean

Chris (AFEG) Jess

Chris (chibben2003) I don't think we even have the kids names or your wife's.

And as a follow up, all of the above will receive PM's from me just in case this post gets lost in the flurry of our daily posts.:rotfl:

Ok, firstly - Ripple - THE most georgous bar of chocolate in the whole world. I might just be able to resist and bring you all one to try:confused3 .

Secondly - yes - it was me re the xmas dec - I always do it cos we have 2 disney trees and a "travel" tree. If I cant find an xmas dec then I buy a keyring and remove the chain part and hang it on with a regular ornament hook. I bought a curly slipper from Turkey, a new york taxi from (obviously) New york, etc etc. Its a lovely way of remembering and re-living your holidays.

I'm still a bit thick re the tag thingy. I get tagged then I take the magnet they've left and tag the next person on my list? Am i right? I might just panic by day 5 and deliver them all:rolleyes1

Nancy - you are soooo organised! I am still struggling remembering all your proper names - especially if you can pronounce the dis name - yours is ok cos its not a name but eg "Poohbush" - etc I just know I'll be calling out "Hi Poohbush" and getting strange looks:lmao:

I could do with an up to date list of everyone. Mines dog-eared and tea-stained:rolleyes1

Well, I'm off to open a bottle of wine. Hubby is away for a week so its just me and my munchkin Ellis, and once he's in bed its just me and my merlot!;)

Jeff - glad you joined us even if it was for just a "poof!":rotfl:

1)That's it!! Now I recall. They keychains becoming tree ornaments. I knew it was something clever.

2) Sounds like you understand the tag "thingy" to me.

3) I don't think it'll be too bad if you call Tina "Poohbush". Just don't think it would be very nice to call Chris (AFEG) by his screen name!! You may get some looks on that one!:rotfl2:

4) I have a list infront of me with all of our names on it. If I knew how to post a spread sheet of them I would.

ENJOY your Merlot!:hippie:

Karen, If you go to the Yahoo site (Ms. Hall Monitor :) ) and click on October 20th 2007 Cruisers you will find the list. I did notice that some of our KK's are missing off that list though.

LindyLoo, Dyerneeds, AFEG, Mollygirl13 (???), Medicalman, chibben2003, walt&di, B9erSteve, Spacy9, GOS's friends, Pegastar, and Scouter.

That's the most updated list we have except the one I hold in my hot little hands.:rotfl:

;) With all these people from Wisconsin and UK, I'm feeling a bit like the odd woman out.

1. I'm the only one from NY
2. I have the only older teenager..... 17
3. I'm the only unmarried member...... gee... hope no one minds about Bob and I cohabitating in sin in our cruise room;)

Please, come on.....there must be more like me???????

Hmmm...favorite foods on the Magic? Grand Marnier souffle at Lumiere's, Prosciutto Pizza at Palo, Shrimp & Asparagus Salad at Palo, all the fresh shrimp, and oh yeah, Mochaccinos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK, I'm still reading up on everyone's old posts and I saw this one from Brenda...I wanted to say that that Grand Marnier souffle was my absolute favorite! I asked my server to get me the recipe and I reminded him a few times. On the last night of our cruise he presented me with the recipe!:yay:
Except I haven't tried it yet because first of all everything is in metric ( I hate that!) and then the recipe is made to produce enough for probably the whole ship! So I haven't converted it yet.

You can go on the UK team. You are from Liverpool. :rotfl2:

Plus, you NYers have funny accents also, so you can be now be known as the "funny talkers". :lmao:

Just kidding.
I have to sail with 2 of our UK friends next year, don't need them mad at me.

Yeah, what is it with people on the cruise not listing themselves there. It's almost as bad as people who are not going still listing themselves. Some people.

No, no, no, I don't have that New Yaka accent.
I'm from Upstate New York.
You've heard of Syracuse? The Orangemen? Liverpool is 10 minutes from Syracuse.

But yeah, I can hang with the UK team. That's as close as I can get to fitting in with the crowd I guess:cool2:

You'll be surprised how much time it takes for them to pull into Key West.

We had the late seating for the Character Breakfast, went back to our room to get ready, made a couple of phone calls on the cell (it works a few miles out from KW) and still went up to watch us pull in for about an hour.

I think the late CB ends by 10:30 (if not sooner) and with all ashore at 12:30, you'll have plenty of time. Plus, the only people who will have CB on Sunday will be on the APL rotation.
