Just wanted to pop in and let you all know that we're still breathing in Missouri. ;)

Thanks everyone for your inquiries, it's much appreciated. Jason and I are just fine but are entering the "busy" period of the year from a family and work perspective.

I may not be around much but I'll be thinking about all of you and would like to leave you with some excess dust stuff for a day when you may need it most. pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

See ya round, Konkers. Take good care of yourselves. :goodvibes

Brenda

Hiya Sean !!!! Great to see you are still alive and Kicking !:)

Brenda, glad you popped in, we unnderstand about the work and vusy stuff, i have no life , so im on here all day! :rotfl2:

I havent really got to grips with the Yahoo site,, will do so whenI have more time to "explore".

Im really pleased today, the photobook was delivered... YES I kow only 48hrs after me doing it on line, ITS AMAZING!!! Im sooo peased, it insipred e to definately do one for my Mum. I took it to the school gats with me to show my friend, and ended up with aout 6 mums all cooing over it, saying how clever I was,:) and that they wish they could do one ! :dance3:
I was then hearing myself say, "oh its not too difficult, I can give you a demo if you want".... now how funny is that ! :lmao: :lmao:

Thought this might be of interest..... It could be useful for us in the future when we have to sail on school holiday. Europe at Easter or summer can be very nice, and with no flight to add on, I expect the cruise to be the right type of price too...:thumbsup2 though I will have to wait and have a nose on 14th March. Looking just out of interest for 2008, as we are DEFINATELY doing the caribbean in May 08. But I can always plan for 09 ;) :rotfl: :rotfl:

Royal Caribbean International's new generation of megaships to set sail in Europe in 2008
Cruise Line Expands Offering for Vacationers with Independence of the Seas
Royal Caribbean International today announced plans to deploy Independence of the Seas - the third in its new Freedom class of ships - in Southampton, United Kingdom, when she debuts in May 2008. Sharing the title of the largest, most innovative cruise ship in the world with sister ships, Freedom of the Seas and the soon-to-be-launched Liberty of the Seas, Independence of the Seas will be the largest ship ever to be home-ported in Europe.

“This significant step is part of the company’s strategy of international business development and expansion into emerging and high-growth cruise markets,” said Richard Fain, chairman and chief executive officer of Royal Caribbean Cruises Limited, at a press conference in London today. “We have already seen tremendous growth of the cruise industry in Europe. This year, 21 percent of the capacity of our three brands combined - Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and Pullmantur - will be in this region. Bringing this new generation of megaships to the Southampton, the home of UK cruising, will further develop our global operations and reinforce cruising as an enticing vacation option for travellers in this region.”

Currently under construction in Aker Yards in Turku, Finland, Independence of the Seas will be delivered to Royal Caribbean International in May 2008 and will feature the line’s signature innovations including the FlowRider® surf simulator, the H2O Zone water park, an ice-skating rink, a rock-climbing wall and a boxing ring. The 3,634-guest cruise ship will sail the 2008 summer season from Southampton, United Kingdom.

“Our decision to base the newest and most exciting ship in Southampton will offer our guests an easy, convenient and affordable way to see several legendary European landmarks and exciting destinations without having to repeatedly unpack their suitcases,” said Adam Goldstein, president, Royal Caribbean International “The amenities available onboard Independence of the Seas will give a fresh face to cruising in Europe and the Mediterranean providing guests with a variety of options to create their own unique adventure.”

Following a series of preview sailings in Oslo, Norway ; Hamburg, Germany and Southampton; UK. Independenceof the Seas will embark on her maiden voyage in mid-May 2008, alternating 14-night ‘Mediterranean Treasures’ and ‘Italian Mediterranean’ itineraries. Ports of call for the ‘Mediterranean Treasures’ itinerary include Gibraltar, UK; Barcelona, Spain; Nice, France; Florence/Pisa, Italy; Sardinia, Italy; Lisbon, Portugal; and Malaga and Vigo, Spain. Guests on the ‘Italian Mediterranean’ cruises will experience the destinations of Gibraltar; Cannes/Monte Carlo, France; Florence/Pisa, Rome and Sardinia in Italy; Seville and Vigo, Spain; and Lisbon, Portugal.

Guests can also enjoy two four-night getaways from Southampton to Cork, Ireland and St. Peter Port in the Channel Islands. Three 11-night Canary Islands itineraries, also roundtrip from Southampton, will round out the fall season, calling in Madeira, Portugal; Tenerife, Canary Islands; Las Palmas, Gran Canaria; Lanzarote, Canary Islands; and Vigo, Spain. Independence of the Seas then heads to the Americas for a series of Eastern and Western Caribbean sailings, roundtrip from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Bookings for the European itineraries will be open for sale on March 14 2007.

Susan Hooper, senior vice president international, managing director – EMEA, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line said “This exciting announcement further reinforces Royal Caribbean International’s ongoing commitment to the changing face of cruising in Europe”.

Independence of the Seas will join a long list of Royal Caribbean ships in Europe. In the summer of 2007, six ships - the highest number ever for the cruise line - will sail European itineraries stopping in 63 ports of call in Europe alone. Navigator of the Seas and Jewel of the Seas will sail from Southampton and Harwich, England, respectively. In Spain, Voyager of the Seas and Brilliance of the Seas will be Barcelona-based. Legend of the Seas will homeport in Rome and Splendour of the Seas will sail from Venice, Italy.

Linda, Kristin's DBF (Jesse) who is also coming on the cruise is a Black Belt in Kick Boxing. I forgot what degree he is though. Maybe Jesse & Elouise can give us a demonstration. Kristin also holds a few belts in KB but I can't remember which one she is at now.

Oh Nancy, Elouise is VERY VERY excited about seeing a REAL kick boxer, other than her teacher! Better watch out or she will be trying to kick and puch everyone.
Shes been practising alot tonight. They do stranger danger, like learning to stan d back and hold arms up, and YELL... and I mean YELL " Stand back stranger!!!!"
She has to do 10 sit up 10 press ups ( properly!) run 20 laps of the hall. Count in Korean. Bow and do a warm up with basic kicks and punches.

She really thinks she is a Pink Power Ranger !!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Yah Brenda, glad to see you popped by. Hope the "busyness" doesn't last too long and you can come back here more often.

Linda, my Katie is not into Power Rangers at all, pink or otherwise. She's still a Princess girl at heart. (I'm so relieved!)

Not much happening tonight. We're supposed to get bucketloads of rain. Better rain than snow or ice, that's for sure!

We're supposed to get bucketloads of rain

Really? Geesh, why can't we get bucketloads of rain????? :confused3

I gotta move somewhere where it rains more! :sad2:

Is it right that the shows are on in the afternoon too?

If so we might do this on sea days if the pool is too busy.

Karen Mouse,

The two sea days have matinee versions of the shows. We like to see the matinees too, it frees up the evening for us a little.

Heard about the terrible storm yesterday. Is everyone (US) OK?

Linda - Can't wait to see Twice Charmed. We haven't seen this one yet.
