No, no, no, I don't have that New Yaka accent.
I'm from Upstate New York.
You've heard of Syracuse? The Orangemen? Liverpool is 10 minutes from Syracuse.

But yeah, I can hang with the UK team. That's as close as I can get to fitting in with the crowd I guess:cool2:

Could be worse, you could be from Canada. :rotfl2: Just kidding Cass.

I think there is actually 3 groups, WI, UK and US non-WI. Although, I still think you are in the smallest group.

 Go US-non WI:cool1: :cheer2:
:woohoo:
That would include Poohbush from Maryland
PrincessMom from Ohio
disgrits from CA or whereever they move to
dyerneeds from Ohio
Walt and Di from Texas
and a few others I think who haven't posted in a bit.

Brenda probably belongs to the WI team, right?
Aren't you close? Sorry if I'm wrong....my geography sucks:teacher:

Oh, oh, that would make Cass the only one out.
We'll include her on the US-nonWI team.
Canada is close to NY.

I am stuck here in the middle of the country - Missouri - waiting for the wind to stop howling and my house to stop creaking.

We live in St. Charles County which is just west of St. Louis County...about 45 miles from downtown St. Louis. I think someone else from this area just recently joined the cruise thread, otherwise the hubby and I are the only representatives from deadcenter USA.

What else makes us stand out like a sore thumb? We don't have kids...we find the whole Pirate fad to be something of an annoyance...we avoid the buffets whenever possible...and we play elevator tag. ;)

woops sorry, told you my geography stinks.

Hey what's elevator tag? Sounds like a trip!

And you can have my kid if you want! Older teenagers KNOW EVERYTHING!
I keep telling mine "One more year and you're off to college or whatever, but you're gone! Goodbye! I'll miss you! But there's the door!"

Elevator Tag...well, if I share the secret you guys are all going to know who to blame when you're standing around waiting on an elevator...:rolleyes1

When you come back on board ship after a day in port it seems like everyone just piles in and waits for an elevator to show up rather than taking the stairs. On our last cruise our cabin was on deck 8 and we always took the stairs because we figured it was still quicker than waiting in that tiny, humid area on deck 1 for an elevator to show up that could only hold 10 people at a time.

We would actually run up the stairs, stopping at each deck to push the buttons for the elevator (both up and down) just to slow things down even more. This may not sound funny to you guys, but we thought it was hysterical. I usually ended up sitting in the stairwell on deck 6 laughing so hard I couldn't breathe (at our house we call this squeaking).

Honestly, Jay and I just aren't very nice. It's probably better to smash everyone's illusions right now. ;)

Oh yeah...there's a new thread going on the main cruise forum about dining room attire!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

If anyone is looking for some good :stir: or popcorn:: I think that may be the place to look.

Oh, I get it... I've got that thread killing thing going on again.

I took a bath - what else do you people want? :lmao:

And they push the buttons with their elbows!!:lmao:

I got a game too...

It's called, "Watch-Nancy-fall-down-the-stairs-and-sprain-her-ankle-while-trying-to-beat-Chuck-down-to-deck-3". It's followed by another favorite, "Guess-who's-ankle-still-looks-black-and-blue-after-18-months"?
:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Less than 7 more months for more games like these??:confused3

And they push the buttons with their elbows!!:lmao:

That's right! :thumbsup2

Always use your elbows so that you're less likely to pick up germies! :lmao:

I know we must have looked like a pair of complete freaks back in 2005, back I'm comfortable with that. ;)

Wow, you gals have some crazy fun:confused:

You're not scared of us now, are you? You've got that concerned / puzzled icon in your post...like you're thinking of pulling out of this thread or maybe even the cruise after having read the last few posts.

Don't worry...we're harmless, especially Nancy and Chuck who are two of the nicest people you haven't really met. ;)

As for me and Jay...pick a link in my signature and read about our travels...the first one is our cruise from October 2005. The best one (in my humble opinion) is probaly the dining report from this October, though. We just like to laugh...and eat...and drink...not necessarily in that order.

Brenda - lol on the elevator description! :rotfl: I could just see it now. Elevator stops at a floor that no one has pushed a button for. Door just keeps opening & shutting on each floor. Very funny!

Scouter, no biggie on being in the "US - non WI" category. Not sure I'd want to live in WI anyway. And I love cheese!

Karen - I'll try to remember to include my name at the bottom of my posts more often. I don't mind being called Pooh, or even Poohbush, but if it makes things easier for you, then I'll try!

Jeff- glad to see you back posting on here. We miss you!

Happy Saturday evening everyone. Going to go watch the new BBC Robin Hood series. Looks good!

Tina

Not scared of anyone....Hey I'm the outcast!

Gots to go and make dinner ....yup....it's 8:45...I hate getting around to making dinner, but my son will be yelling at me soon. He's 16 how come I can't get him to make me dinner? Oh, yeah, right.....because he IS 16!

See I have one big glass of wine and suddenly I just don't care about what time dinner is done.

Ok, I'm back.... at least I got the oven started
This dinner making thing is so hard!

My solution is always to order pizza. :thumbsup2

The more I think about it the more I'm convinced that Jason and I are developmentally stunted...we've never matured past the perpetual college student phase. :lmao:

PS. You're a Konked Kruiser now, no more of this outcast stuff!!!

Yup I'm Konked all right!
Thanks for the comraderie (can I spell?)

I might be 42 but I can act even younger than a college student.
Even younger than my 16 year old at times:rotfl2:

Oh, but he so enjoys it :"MOM, GROW UP!"

Oh, I can't wait to be waited on on the cruise and not to have to make
any dinners.....or lunches, or breakfasts...(Oh, what is that...I don't do breakfast.....oh, just my morning Starbucks vanilla lattes that is, that's my breakfast!)

So Chuck and I just spent the last 5 hours of Saturday with Cass and Rob! Well, kind of anyway. We watched every minute of their videos, slide shows, and special clips of their DCL cruise of 2005 and WDW 2005.

What can I say??? ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!:cheer2: I just wish I could do half the beautiful job she did.

After 5 minutes of watching one of our videos you are either dizzy or asleep. Chuck is in charge of the video camera and I swear you need a Dramamine to watch it. Then you have me in the background telling him to "slow down" and "are you sure the camera is off dear"? "Really??...are you sure? You're aiming on the ground and the light is on". "Whose the chick in string bikini and why is she on our home videos"?

5 minutes later, I'm asleep and everyone else left the room.

So Cass, now I have a ton of comments/questions.

1) Do you do your own editing? (Fantastic job if you do).

2) Good job on finding 642 Hidden Mickey's.:thumbsup2

3) Rob, good job on eating 642 ice creams.:lmao:

4) Loved the Nemo imitation Rob!

5) Please settle a bet. The other happy couple with you is:

A) Cass's sister and Brother in law ______________ (check here)
B) Rob's brother and Sister in law _______________ (don't check here)

Dinner is riding on this bet!!

6) Was your cruise before or after WDW? I believe I saw Wilma looming about on several pictures.:sad2:

7) Good job on managing to kick everyone out of every picture on the cruise (except Wilma). Were you and Rob the only people on the ship?:confused3

8) Are you for hire?

and last but not least,
9) Were the elevators working properly? If not, I know who to blame!! :rotfl2:

Hey! You promised not to tell anyone about the top secret, super concentrated, mind-meld powers that Jay and I use to muck up the DCL elevators even when we're not on board ship. Thanks alot...:headache:

I'm off to Argle-Bargle for a bit.

BTW - Nancy, I'm using Plankton as an argument for that thing you and I were discussing the other day. I'll let you know what happens - we're nearing a resolution very shortly I think.
