Hi!

Planning a multi-family trip for October! :cool1:

In your experience, which dates would you recommend?
9/30-10/6

or

10/13-10/19

Trying to avoid the slight increase in Columbus Day crowds, dates are flexible.

Thanks in advance!

Check out easywdw.com. They have specific advice about recommended timeframes, and provide the reasoning behind their recommendations!

Avoid Columbus Day and the weekend before and you should be fine crowd-wise. The weather is usually great and the Eat to the Beat concert series is on but WS is insane in Saturdays.

ps. We're there from 10-29 - -11/7.

I'm going to be there Oct 10-17. I'm Canadian and knew it was Thanksgiving on the 12th but didn't realize until after I booked that it is also Columbus Day. I would book the first week in Oct if I were to do it again. I can't switch now because everything has been coordinated with other people and it's just not worth the hassle.

Thanksgiving is in November, not October. At least American Thanksgiving is. Does Canadian Thanksgiving have much of an impact?
