I kept saving and resaving offers for our desired time frame and the pin they sent is for exactly what we had saved. It is book by Feb 23 so it is a small window of opportunity!

Well, we finally booked our trip using our pin! Our TA said there were no more standard view rooms available under the pin at POR, but somehow she managed to use it to book us a Royal Room instead...maybe pixie dust?

We finally have an adopted school calendar for next year, so we can finalize our plans!! We don't usually have to wait this long to book, but it was worth it. Our school board adopted a balanced calendar - we now have a whole week open instead of just four days! Time to start planning...a code would help so much!

I'm waiting to see if the school corporation I work for in Southern Indiana is adopting a balanced calendar next year, too! It looks like our board is not voting on it until mid-February at the earliest, though. I want to tell them to hurry up, I have a Disney vacation to plan

My momma got a 30% off pin!!!!! We are going to book with that, then change to free dining when it is announced! At least we will be able to get our ADR'S when our 180 days comes bc we will be booked!!!!!!

I'm a total noob when it comes to planning a DW trip, but I was wondering how do you get these 30% off discounts or free dinning discounts? When I go in Oct. I was going to get the Deluxe dinning plan, is there a way to get that free, or is it just the basic? As you can tell, I really don't know much about this, but anyway to save is great. Any help is needed, thanks.

Subscribing. I REALLY would love a PIN or some sort of disney visa, or public discount (i know those, if any won't be released until mid-late summer) for the October trip i'm hoping to take!! We'd love to stay at the Poly with close family friend, but i'd be happy for any kind of discount at any resort level. Just saved a few trips, ordered the current planning DVD. Fingers crossed! We've been MANY times to WDW, but never in October and would LOVE to to MNSSHP! Our dates would be oct 20-27th. Good luck to everyone waiting on discounts/PIN's.

the dinning plan you get depends on the resort you book. if you booked a value you get the quick service free, book a mod and you get the next level. you can always upgrade the free plan to what you want for a few dollars more, its not a problem.

I have a trip booked via the bounceback offer which I believe was 30% off the room. I guess I would have to see if a free dining pin is worth more money, it would appear maybe?? I have no idea. Anyway, I booked Fort Wilderness Cabins. I can change just about everything (dates/resort/cancel) up until Sept so it seemed silly not to book it and hope and pray I save enough pennies

I got an e-mail with a 10% off PIN for most Oct. dates. It's only Sundays-Thursdays. I guess that means that Friday and Saturday would be at rack rates. I don't know if I should book with that or hold out for better. Can I change to a higher % off PIN later if I get a better one? I know I could switch to FD if that came out.

I'm also not sure if we want to do Oct or Nov yet. When does the Halloween party thing end? My mom would love that. But Christmas lights would be cool, too. When do those go up?

You should be able to change your reservation if a better pin comes out.

The Halloween Party (MNSSHP) ends on Halloween. That is the last one. The holiday lights go up in November, but from what I've read, it varies, but I'm pretty sure that everything is up before Thanksgiving. We went the week after Thanksgiving last time and it was great. We were going to go again at that same time, but hubby works retail now and he can not take vacations from Thanksgiving through New Years, so we moved back to Oct. and then we decided on Halloween week, so we're into Nov. too.

We just decided this week we're taking our kids for the first time. We'll be going the first or second week of October. I'm so excited to start planning! We're hoping to make it a surprise and not tell them until we're on our way, lets see if we're able to keep the secret!

I saw a link posted the other day that listed not only the dates of the promotions from the past, but also the days that the promotions were released. Unfortunately, I didn't save the link, and I haven't been able to find it again. I believe it was a page on allears, or a similar site.
