Planning a trip the last week in Oct. Thinking about staying at All Star Movies. We already have 3 days left from no-expiration option base tickets. If we want to use the AAA discount, does a AAA agent have to do the booking, or can I do that?

Haven't booked yet stay yet, but think I should be doing that soon...

If you want to do the AAA discount AND the dining plan, the AAA agent must book for you. If you do not wish to do the dining plan, then you can book on your own

Diana, the AAA was a bust. They are advertising a deal on the website that is expired. For what I was quoted by the TA it was almost identical in price for what I got thru Disney Travel EXCEPT the AAA TA could not get my airfair on the days we wanted to go. So I did it myself, got the dates I wanted and ended up saving 100.00. Oh well. Guess its back to hoping for a code or pin. I guess I'm wondering where the savings came in from being a AAA member?

Just for those curious this is what I wanted :

October 13-18, POP, DDP, Air and DME and Trip Insurance.

AAA Price : 2111.58
Disney Travel Price : 2011.20

i booked with AAA for a value resort from oct 17-24 and they gave me 15% off my room rate. i was also able to get everyone else that is going (that had already booked their ressies thru disney) my 15% off, too.

Hi there we got 2 pin codes one for 30 and one for 20 % off. We're staying 5 days at WL. AAA deal was woods view, 5 day base, dining plan basic for $2817. The pin got us the hopper and a courtyard view for $100 more. Nowhere near the numbers I hoped for with a pin. Anyone have any idea why?? Oh, travel dates Oct 19-25 (p.s. no air, have sticker shock so I haven't booked it yet)

Do you know if AAA can revise your ressie if you end up getting a code between now and then? I'm waffling on whether or not to book my visit through them, or wait and see if I get lucky with a code but if I can set up something now and revise it later then I should probably pull the trigger.

Ok, this is a copy of another post I made in another thread, but I thought it was applicable to this one as well.

Well, after reading all the posts about AAA and getting tired of never getting a good code or discount for disney, I purchased a membership from AAA this morning.

The membership cost me $54 on their website. My spouse gets free membership the first year.

I then called disney and booked a room only reservation at POFQ standard view room. I saved 15% for Oct 18 - 25th.

I had a previous reservation for that time frame for 185.62 per night with tax included. Now, it's 157.79 per night tax included.

So, I saved $194.81 on my disney room. After the $54 membership fee for AAA, I saved a total of $140.81. Not bad considering I know I won't be paying rack rate for the first time ever.

I am also a DVC member and was planning to upgrade my MYW tickets to an AP, but now I will just purchase the AP when I get to disney. Or at least wait for the OCT codes to come out and see If I can get something better.

Never thought of that.

I doubt they can beat the DVC discount on APs though. $100 discount per person if you own DVC.

This is our second Food and Wine Festival. Our first was our honeymoon almost two years ago. My husband wasn't a Disney person until our trip and now he is addicted like the rest of us! We are SO excited! My husband doesn't drink but I plan on drinking 'round the world (I've never done it!). Hopefully we'll bump into one another. I'm thinking of decorating my room window and having something on the door for us DISERS. Let the countdown begin!

Well I don't know if I'm Oct or Nov, cause we check in Oct 31 2008...But a code would be great.

I'm there with you on not knowing if I'm looking for Oct. or Nov. However mine will either be the middle of October or Thanksgiving week. Just found out my aunt wants to go this year with me and my 2dds. Looking for a time when we are out of school and where it's not TOO TOO crowded. I know the end of Thanksgiving week is busy but the weekend before is usually pretty good. So COME ON CODES!!!! I need ya!
