So my DU agent said that discounts for the Tower Contemporary rooms is very rare. But if Disney offers a blanket discount (ie - free dining) wouldn't that room category apply? I am booked in a Contemporary Tower MK view room for October and was kind of hoping for some sort of package or code to come out for that time frame. Am I just wasting my time hoping?

The short answer is no. Disney does not offer free dining with "all" room categories.

For instance, when discounts came out for january 2006 and 2007 they did not include KING BED rooms at Port Orleans Riverside.

Of course, that doesn't mean that they won't have a discount for your room category.

Hello all! I too am crossing my fingers for a code for our October trip. So far, we have been very lucky and gotten two different pin codes in the past month (between my finace and I). The first was for 20% off on select dates (including October 19-November 1) and the second for $25 room rates during the summer. Neither code helps us though... we will be going during the first week in October. I am wondering if anyone has received a code for this time yet (PIN or otherwise). We would really, really like to upgrade our room if we received a great rate. I am just wondering if there is any hope. ;-)

We too are going the 1st week in October and the pins we are getting don't work for us either, although regardless of any "surprise" discounts we may get, we are still going to have a wonderful time.

Does anyone know about how much previous AP rates have save on the resorts in October? I was thinking upgrading our passes to and AP might be a good choice. Either that or hope for a good room only code. TIA

I've been watching this thread and others, noticing the amount of people in the parks the week we usually go, I've found Columbus Day Weekend is becoming more and more crowded. We tried to reserve a room at the GF and they were booked solid that weekend. We've also received three different codes from Disney, but not one that we could use. It seems that this particular time, the beginning to middle of October, is becoming more of a Peak Time. We enjoy the Halloween party and F & W, and I think this will be the last year we go, over that particular weekend. I'm taking a tip from this years' discounts and book next year toward the end of the month.......Disney obviously would like more visitors after October 19

Hi, Doing a LADIES trip for Food & Wine October 6-10. Right now we have a small discount at the BWI thru AAA. ($374.62) Hoping for a better discount but realize that this is a PRIME spot for F&W Festival. Joan

Woohoo! My daughter just called me and said that she found a postcard that had my name on it at my old address while cleaning out her car. Thank God, it's still valid, or I would have wrung her neck or thrown something at her! I saved $1063.16!!!! Woohoo! It was 30% off the room rate. It was a postcard in my maiden-married name with my previous address and I got to apply it to my reservation! The postcard that came TO my current address with my daughter's name on it, I couldn't use because she wasn't able to come with us this trip! There is some postcard going around that says, certain dates (I think she read to me October 2, November 1, or something like that) when the CM read me the dates it said from January 1, 2008 through December 15, 2008! So IF you get a postcard and it says dates....I'd call anyway to see if you can apply it to your ressie! Just a heads up! Don't give up that easy on it!

I cannot wait for October now! My DH is thrilled!!!!
