I'd like to say I'll spend all of Saturday sitting in the tub enjoying the soothing sounds of the bathroom fan and all of Sunday sleeping but I don't think it's going to happen. We'll have to do some yardwork and visit my parents. With the snow we had today the yard is going to be a mess for halloween. We put up the decorations before the kids start walking and take them down that night. Keeps the vanals from destroying our inflatables!!! This year we've added a bit to our stuff. We have a fog machine and some strobe lights. Very spooky but the scariest part of our yard is navigating through all the extension cords...

Ooooh, sounds like your yard is fun for Halloween!!! We aren't so good. I don't know if any of our decorations will go up, but we don't have anything in the yard anyway. Just a few things that hang on the porch. Christmas is my big decorating time. And I just remembered Steve bought me the inflatable Mickey/snowman snowglobe last year!

Amen to that!! Our first day below freezing this morning...the growing season is over. I sacrificed the pineapple plants this time. :sad1: They are so big, we just don't have anywhere to put them in the house. I have been babying those things for 4 years and all 3 of them made a pineapple....the 3 most expensive pineapples ever grown!!:rotfl2: I did bring the ferns in though....we will see how that goes. Ferns can be messy inside. Of to support my cruise habit! pirate:

LOL!!!! I bet they were good though

Hi everyone!

We got a dusting of snow here last night:scared1:

Sorry to here about your 6 inches Nancy:laughing:  better there than here.

Hope all is well with everyone, and settled back into your routines...

TTFN

Alex
It's not all that bad. The snow was so thick and heavy it snapped Nancy's beloved shrub in half. I was out in the back yard at 7am taking pictures of it LOL!!!

Good morning everyone!!!
Been pretty busy over here, I've been in organizing mode, We had the girls clean out their closets, we helped Shannon rearrange her bedroom furniture, right now I'm cleaning out our cradenza(sp?)!! That is no fun!!!

Denis and Nancy, your house sounds great for Halloween!! I want to see pictures!!!!
No Halloween decorations over here this year!! Meagan is going to a Halloween party, and Shannon is helping out at a haunted house!!

I'm with you Erika and Nancy, I LOVE decorating for Christmas......we have about 12-15 huge rubbermaid containers full of decorations up in the attic!! I collect snowmen and I also set up a village with a train every year!! My house looks so bare after the holidays when I take all the decorations down!! LOL
Erika, I would love to see a picture of your Mickey/Snowman globe!!! I bet you can't wait to set it up!!!!

I collect snowmen too! I also have a village, but it hasn't been up in about 4 years, we get busy and it takes soooooooooooo darn long to set it all up and even longer to take it all down.

This is what my snowglobe looks like...

Erika, that is so cute!!!!!

That is so funny we do the same thing!!! I know what you mean about the village taking forever!! I just love it when it's all set up!! I still add to it every year!! I don't know what we are going to do when it gets much bigger, we already have to put down a piece of plywood over our table to widen it!!!

Steve custom made me a table for mine (it's Christmas in the City, so I can keep my buildings close together) and it's big and very very very heavy!!!!!!!!!!!

Christmas in the City is actually the name of the village I collect from Department 56, so I can't take any credit for being cute LOL...
