Oct 3 - Dec 30 FD & Code Watch (Only)

It was down 2 days ago too. I think it may be offered to Visa holders first if they extend it though.

That would be nice if they extended it, even though all the blogs are saying NO it wont happen. (Party poopers!:sad1:)

Count me in too. I am thinking of taking a mom/daughter only trip the first week in November. I think for us the best option would be a good room discount. I've already got park tickets and my DD doesn't eat much. However, I wouldn't pass on free dining.

REally where did you read that? Everything I have read kind of points to free dining being extended. Also PINs have gone out for it, which is a good sign. And many CM's are telling people that something good is coming out soon.

I am trying to find the link, I think it was Chip n Company. It was in the usual blogs I read and they were ripping into the less discount mentality.... Once I find it today I will post it.

http://thedailydisney.com/blog/2010/05/disney-earnings-how-long-will-theme-park-promotions-continue/

"Disney execs have said during past earnings calls that they intend to gradually wean consumers off of promotions and return to full prices. And they are clearly trying to: The seven-for-four discount during the company’s second fiscal quarter, for instance, wasn’t as deep as a similar offer in place in early 2009 because Disney World only offered it to travelers who booked rooms in its medium- and high-priced hotels (those booking the resort’s cheapest hotels could only get two nights free)."

Trian ride for the 40% or more pin codes foe DEC 4th-11 .... For us Room discount would be better this trip, cause we have our AP & TIW, so that knocks down the cost for us.

We are also going in Sept & we are on the DDP so that wil make up for any lost food in Dec! lol

:banana::surfweb::rolleyes:

Hi anyone... I have a question as I have never had free or discounted anything at Disney. DD and I will be going 10/7-10/11 I recently paid the trip off using my Jetblue AMEX (for the points). I have a Disney Visa card, but I haven't used it for anything on this vacation so IF they extend free dining to Disney Visa card holders can I call and say I have a Disney Visa card...or would I lose out on this code now that I've paid off using Jetblue AMEX...(I think the vouchers for Jetblue were a better deal for me than free dinning would have been). If the answer is no (which I assume it is) I guess I would just have to hope the code is released to the general public.

Thanks for your help!

Generally, your method of payment plays no part in getting a discount. However, I don't have a Disney Visa (I want one but they don't offer it in Canada) so I don't know if having it is enough or if they require you to pay with it as well.

We have free dining for Sept of this year. When I called to change to the FD package I had to pay 200. for each room with the Disney Visa. I'm not sure if they would make you do a payment if this is paid off, as ours wasn't at that time. We had already paid our deposit and a little more but they required at least 200. as partof the requirements to the FD.

ditto again!! Were going regardless but this would sure help.

Booked for December 9-14 at Poly. Called to check ressie but no pin code attached. Thanks to all of you for suggestions on how to optimize chances-I am so praying for free dining too! I get to make dining ressies tomorrow so I am psyched!

I'm hoping for free dining in Dec too. We have our ressie booked for Dec 10th - so I am calling on Sunday for my dining reservations. :cool1:

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just called and had a pin code attached to my name for 40% off the first week of December. The Beach Club only had water view available. Oh darn. ;) I'm so excited. Keep calling if you haven't got one yet. Wait till hubby gets home.:woohoo:

You may want to pop over to the restaurant reservations board. It seems folks have been able to make their dining reservations at 190 days out instead of 180 +10 which means you can make them now.

Good Luck!

This gets me wondering. I have a Disney Visa. With a very low credit limit. (I didn't want a high one due to the effect it may have on my credit score, credit to income ratio and such..;))
Anyways, I tied to put my room only ressie on my Visa. Well, I guess my payment didn't go through, so I had to pay with my debit. (Which I prefer but I wanted to get some more points). Well, today I receive a credit increase. Wondering if that is a "sign" that FD might come out based off what you say about the deposit requirements. :dance3::worship::wizard:

It was a system glitch that now appears to have been resolved.

My DH finally said we can go if they extend FD thru Dec!!!! (only way we can really afford to go) We would do POP dec. 8-15th! Now I really need some pixie dust!!! come on FD!!!! :goodvibes:goodvibes
