Oct 3 - Dec 30 FD & Code Watch (Only)

I got my 'monster deal' in my inbox earlier today!! 40% off room-only pin code. :worship: I had to completely change my entire itinerary including cruise, resort and dining reservations to take advantage of it but it was totally worth it in the end! Was originally booked at AKL Club Level but there was no availability there (for whatever reason) with the pin code so we had to move to the WL Club Level. Was soooo looking forward to AKL but the WL is my favorite anyway. :thumbsup2 Good luck to all still hoping and waiting for something/ ANYTHING to come through for them!!

BTW.... Kinda odd that I got mine a day or two after ordering the Disney Cruise Line planning DVD.... Just sayin'... ;)

Got mine too :thumbsup2 40% off ANY hotel. Don;t think I ever saw that before usually 40% off deluxe. This was just as I was booking Port Orleans oh well Contemporary Magic Kingdom view here we come :cool1: Thanks Disney for the upgrade:thumbsup2

Actually, this is the first time I have seen graduated discounts. Has always been a certain percentage off ALL levels in my recent memory. I am thinking that more folks are booking Value in order to be able to go so they did not need to discount the Values as much lately.

I am grateful for the 40% off Values but am perplexed because there so many black out dates that I can only book about 6 days in any time period and there are as many as 8 days before the next discount period so even if I wanted to split up my vacation it would be costly as I would need to buy two sets of tickets.

Am I wrong? Has someone been able to book starting in the discount period for more than the stated days? Please tell me it is possible?;)

I got 40% off of mine from October 1st through the 10th

We also received the Monster PIN code, but unfortunately, the week that we are going is on of the blackout weeks in December. :(

I received the monster pin code, but was told by 2 different CMs that since our arrival day is Oct 23 (a black-out date) we couldn't apply it. Our travel dates are Oct 23-Oct 30. I told them I would pay full rack rate for the 23rd, but they still said no. :headache:

Still hoping for free dining!!

My husband recieved the 30/35/40 PIN after I called in to use it. The PIN would be more.

11/26-12/4
ASMu 8 nights, 8 base tickets, purchase regular Disney dining plan
2 Adults
$2,028.70 (original plan)

11/26-11/27 (black out dates)
ASMu 2 nights, 2 base tickets, purchase regular Disney dining plan
$785.02
11/28-12/4 with 30% PIN
ASMu 6 nights, 6 base tickets, purchase regular Disney dining plan
$1,395.40
Total $2,180.42

That's $151.72 MORE!

I'm hope I get the free dining PIN.

I think you were told wrong. You can change your ressie. Apply the code to the 24th through the 30th. Then book on it's own the 23rd.

Unless they meant no because it wasn't available. You can for sure do two seperate ressies though. I would try a 3rd. IMO

I totally agree. Book a room only ressie for the 23rd. Then book a seperate ressie for the 24th - 30th. You should be able to that, unless the resort you want is full. :goodvibes

Try the math this way. Not sure if it would be cheaper or not though.

ASMu 2 nights, 7 base tickets, purchase regular Disney dining plan.

ASMu 6 nights, 1 base tickets, purchase regular Disney dining plan

Yes before I booked Contemporary Port Orleans French Quarter was booked solid so that might be pat of the problem

Joining the wait! Our dates are 19-26 Dec for two rooms at POFQ. Would love any discount, FD especially!

superbird, thanks for the information but your dates are not in the black out period.

What I am hoping for is that I can check on during the 40% discount period and stay for a full 14 days like I used to be able to. Ya know, the good old days. sigh

I would rather have free dining for the entire period, more for the convenience. I am soooo greedy!:goodvibes

I don't think you can do that with the 40% off deal, from what I read.

jenseib, I was so hoping that someone saw something I did not.

We are an older couple and it is a long drive and not worth it for us if we cannot stay long. Disney gets more money from us as we have to buy longer park tickets and have more time to do the extras that some do not when on a short trip.

Hopefully the FD will be extended and they will offer days that we want. We want the days that most do not. Fingers crossed, eyes too.;)
