Stupid question, do you guys know if there is a charge for the airline's wheel chairs? I was just thinking that there is so much walking at DIA (our airport) and maybe I could use it until we get to the gate.

I also heard from our tour guide in CR and he said that he has crutches that I could borrow. How cool is that!!!!!!

Continental has available wheelchairs for use at each of its locations. Most stations will start their day with several wheelchairs at curbside and replenish these throughout the day. If no wheelchairs are in view upon arrival, a verbal request should be made to the skycap or agent who will secure one as soon as possible. The standard width of these wheelchairs is nineteen inches (19").

Doesn't say anything about cost so I would assume it is free. I know I didn't pay when I had to use one a few years ago.

:thumbsup2Thanks Garry!!!! BTW, I don't have to worry about the width of a wheelchair anymore.:rotfl2: I lost my weight. I even fit into the pediatric one at the Urgent Care this weekend. I told them that I would do a lot of bragging over that one!:rotfl: Thanks for your research!!

Hi guys! Popping in to keep the boards moving!

Sandy, are you staying off your foot? I'm sure you're not because that's what I would be doing! LOL! Didn't you say that you were going to the campsite this weekend? Have a nict time if you are.

Heidi, did you tell the girls yet about the cruise? I can't remember.

Well, gonna run. I'll be back sometime!

TTFN

:thumbsup2Great idea:thumbsup2 That way he can be ready to carry me up 72 stairs to the lobby at the resort. It is built into a hillside. It will definitely be an interesting vacation.

Julie, ummmmmm let's just say that I am doing my best staying off my feet. I ran to Walmart today. Actually, I am pleased with the progress. The only thing that is worrying me is the waterfall tour. I've been told that it is rocky and steep to get to and that it is slippery if raining. BUT, that won't be until 2 weeks from yesterday,

Garry, I like the statistics you posted. Good to know that there isn't any in FL!!!!

I just heard from my travel guide. He said that he can loan me crutches or his cane. Wow, I am all set. His friend wrote a note and said that there is a way to get me to the waterfall. His 80 year old mother with a bad knee got down so that is a good sign. I am feeling better! Now, how to climb those darn stairs!! No, they have a golf cart thingy that transports people. While I wasn't looking to use it, I may just have to. I looked at taking the steps as an exercise program for the food and drinks. I guess I can worry about weight gain later. Since being layed (laid)up I have gained 3 pounds. What do you expect sitting around on your fat rear end anyway???? LOL

Sorry guys, too many posts in a row but I got to thinking......

Heidi, you know how you are thinking about borrowing our laptop so that we can talk to you on skype when we are in CR. I bet it wouldn't work as our skype name is the same on both computers.

Mom - I can take our laptop, Chris will be out of school!

I always forget that college gets out early.

It is a foggy, drizzly day at the campground. Grandma (meaning ME) is having a rough time knowing that it is the last time I see Tyer before he goes in the hospital. It is hard feeding him his meals knowing it is the last time for two years that he can eat normal and eat the foods he loves. Did I tell you guys that he just started raiding the pantry and refrigerator. How sad! Stacey has been getting rid of all the yummy food so that it will be out of the house when he gets home from the hospital. Man, I hate this. I could break out in a big huge crying session. Maybe it is good that we won't be here at the beginning. Sorry to Heidi as she has to fill my shoes.

Sandy: I think it is probably good that you will be out of the country when Tyler starts the diet. Hope that ankle heals so you won't have to use the crutches et al. It is nice to know they will be available though.

The weather continues to be fabulous! Warm, sunny and no rain! :sunny::sunny:

We spent the entire day in Epcot yesterday and met up with our friends. We will be spending most of the day at the MK today. We have lunch at Tony's and then it is Extra Magic Hours tonight.
Jiko's was very good again on Thursday.

Our trip is going by way too fast. I can't believe we come home on Wednesday. :sad1:

Denine, I love extra hours. That is always a good time to go. We love early mornings as well. How are the crowds?

Said our goodbyes this morning to Stacey and family. Of course the weak one (me) cried. I tried not to let them see me but my voice was obvious. Tyler didn't want me to go. He just wouldn't let go of me. Big kisses and as they drove away he had the saddest eyes. That is a normal goodbye. He doesn't even realize about the hospital, us being away and then Stacey has added one week of "quarantine" just in case of the swine flu. I don't have a problem with it at all. He just can't get sick.

So much to do in so little time. We leave the house next Saturday around 3AM. Yuck, that is so early. Wondering if McDonalds or someplace will be open at the airport for breakfast that early.

Mom - that must have been so hard, but hopefully when you see him next, he will be his old self again and what an amazing surprise that would be for you!

Denine - How was MK today? Crowds better today?
