I am so with you on that one.And don't even get me started about shots!

I knew I could depend on you Garry. Thanks! That makes up for the swallowing pills and being a fraidy cat of shots.

I think my shot issues started with an incident when I was very young. I don't remember it, but my mother told me that the doctor had to retrieve me from underneath a table to give me a shot.![]()
To this day, my dad won't hold my hand anymore while I am getting a shot, so I have to make sure one of my coworkers comes with me to hold my hand while I get the flu shot.
Everyone at work thinks I am a big wimp, but I work with a lot of people that were in the military so they had to get a ton of shots and are use to it.
OK, so the truth is out.
We raised a wimp. Good thing that she was the one that didn't have the seizures!!

I have also been tainted by years of watching paramedics attempt to start an IV on squad runs.![]()
times before someone got wise and asked for the anetheisiologist. (sp)I have also been tainted by years of watching paramedics attempt to start an IV on squad runs.
Now that's where I cringe. For one of my surgeries they ATTEMPTED 10times before someone got wise and asked for the anetheisiologist. (sp)
I think I just passed out for a quick second after reading those 2 posts.

Then I guess I shouldn't tell you about the squad run where they put the IV in the woman's neck because they missed so many times in the arm...
OMG, do you realize that is my biggest fear that in an emergency that woman could be ME??
I have been told that they go for the groin area as well. I was told not to worry, they could always find a spot. Whatever.
