Oct 18th 2007, 3 nights?

I think we're on Midwest's second flight out around 7:30 get into Orlando around 11:00. Should have enough time, taking a town car to port, didn't want to deal with shuttle or rental car for the day. I love flying Midwest, and do so whenever possible. Hope they don't change too much in the near future!

Pirate Mike pirate: that is the first flight out and quite good about leaving on time. Wish you the best. Maybe we could all get together for a drink or something on the ship. I will keeping and eye out for all of you. I will be wear green--always! :thumbsup2

We are up one deck midship (not sure of the exact number now but will let you know). We are right next to either the Walt or Roy Suite....:thumbsup2

We are all going to be trying to stop by your cabin. Get to know your neighbors and we could have the party there! :rotfl:

We are in 6076... I am curious since you said you've been planning for
9 months, did you actually book 9 months out? Since we're both Cat 6
with 3 people I wonder how much more you saved then we did -- we
just booked in August. Sorry, hope that doesn't sound too nosy.
I may PM you and tell you what we paid.

OMG!!!!! I just looked at the virtual ship tour on the DCL site and we are across the hall from each other -- that is too funny!
Unless we get upgraded, we will see you on the ship! I'm not sure if I
mentioned, but it is me, DH and DS age 10.

I hope you put alot of research into choosing your room and it's one of the best; we just picked one -- had no idea what was better than another.

Happy to share. The problem is we are there for 9 nights. We arrive on Friday, October 12 and don't leave until Sunday, October 21. Had to plan that far in advance when you have three schedules to try and coordinate. Besides they were offering a nice on board credit. I also needed that long to pay for it.

I did not do a lot of research. As I said, I decided to use a travel agent this time. She has been wonderful. She selected the room for us and said that it was a great location. She would know better than me because I have never cruised before. So, I assume you will have a great location as well.

It is too funny that we just happened to be on here and we are across from each other. Keep an eye out for us. Three crazy women acting goofy, well at least two that act goofy  I actually try to act normal, my mother and my daughter don't even try.:crowded:

When we go to Disney all of that responsibility stuff goes out the window. I am in charge and they just go with the flow!

See you all soon...:hourglass

Has anyone gotten their cruise packet from Disney yet? I checked with my agent and she said not to freak yet. Is anyone freaking? Just wondering...

We were just talking about that last night too..... We have not gotten anything yet either :confused3

Well, I just talked to my travel agent and she said that they send out the docs 10-14 days before the start date of your vacation and since my vacation seems to be starting before many of yours I will probably be getting my documents before you. When I get mine, I will let you all know. You all should be getting your docs some time around October 4-8.

I guess I am the goofy one in our group while my DH & DS pretend
they are not with me:laughing:

Thanks for the info! One more thing to get excited about!!
I didn't even realize I would be receiving any more documents
other than my Disney "Travel Kit" thingy. I guess the final
documents will have your final cabin assignment if you got upgraded.

We haven't got our final docs yet either, but I keep watching the mail everyday. I did have someone on the board send DD a postcard. She was jumping up and down when she saw Cinderella wrote her and was waiting on the ship. She actually kissed the sticker picture of Cinderella good bye yesterday. Probably not as much fun for older kids, but she got a kick out of it. Got to start some packing lists (proabably some shopping too) and make sure we got everything. With 2 little ones, it's hard to find the time.

"cool" enough for him....he does want to do the pillow case thing though

Yahoo !! :cool1: This has made his day. We are doing the 4 day land 3 day sea package. We are in Stateroom 2066.

I do have just a "few" :confused3 questions though. What does son wear to dinner, will he need slacks?? Eeeeck if he does, oh how he hates them..:rotfl:

Dinner again! I have the pickiest eater in the world and I'm lucky to get him to a restaurant here. Will these restaurants have anything that a kid will eat...? Thanks again. :thumbsup2

I didn't know about the pirate thingy...pirate: He will love, love, love that..guess I need to dig through his stuff and find the eye patch! As far as me..........now where is my best wench costume????:rolleyes1

Hi Everyone!
We have been out town for a wedding and my hs reunion and my 1st stop was here to check out the boards...17 day countdown strted this morning! Just thought about the Disney packets this morning, should be coming this week. I'm pretty sure for the last 3 Disney cruises, we rec'd the packet about 14 days in advance. Wanted to get thru this past weekend with my lil sis's wedding and my 25th high school reunion before I started thinking too much about the cruise. All the girls looked fabulous, some guys didn't have as much luck, :sad2: and I can wear the same black cocktail dress I bought for the reunion at Palo, yeah!

Munchkin74112, we're down the hall from you in 2626. We have an 11 year old girl and a 7 year old girl. Your son will love the clubs, my girls think they are just great! You will not be disappointed. As I said, this is our 4th Disney Cruise and each time it is better than the last (if that is possible!)!

Not much else to report except I am full speed ahead with making my piles, especially since I have suitcases out from this weekend still. My girls and I love to do the pre-cruise Walgreens shopping....mini toiletries, magazines, gum, and mostly lots of stuff (makeup, more hairclips) we don't need! My husband wonders aloud how we can possibly use any more nailpolishes. We have to remind him that each one we buy is a completely different color from the last...poor thing, even the new puppy is a girl! He's really looking forward to "us" time on the cruise, I'm hoping he leaves his laptop at home though!

Hope everyone is getting so excited, especially you first timers, it is just the BEST time! I'll check in tomorrow!
Beth

Your land/sea trip sounds great! Has your son been to Disney before?
I will tell you a few of my son's favorite things there if you need any
tips.

As for dinner, from what I understand shorts are not allowed in the
restaurants. I think maybe for toddler boys they would make an
exception. He could wear jeans, cargo type pants or zip-off pants
but no shorts. My son is also a very picky eater. I have seen on
these boards some of the rest. menus but I don't have time to
look for them right now (I'm at work)... Search here and see if you
can locate. If not, I will try to find them again. We are going to
try the restaurants the first night and if son does not like, he can
eat in the kids club after that. The last night, my husb & I are going
to Palo's by ourself anyway. I think what my son really will not like
is how long it may take to eat at the restaurants- he will not like to
sit still that long :yay:

Hi Beth!

I had my 25th last year...Oh it was sooooo much fun seeing everyone again. Girls, yes.... they require a few more "detailed" items then boys...anything they can stuff in the duffle bag works for them...in fact.. I went and bought socks and underwear with my son last week and told him I wanted to be sure that he had clean socks and undies for the entire trip........he said, "Mom, you know underwear is good for at least two days...".... (remind me to check his dirty clothes hamper daily now).... EEEEcckkkk........ lol

..........and we are Neighbors on the cruise too!! That is wonderful. We are the Okies.... we are from Tulsa, Oklahoma..so if we sound funny, ya'll know why... lol... Oct. 1st...geeze, I can't believe it's October!:cloud9:

Well he will just have to "live with it"... might help if both of us have the same dinning rotation and he see's that everyone else has to do the same...so tennis shoes and cargo pants will work...then I'm good. Do I have to sign him up for the Kids Club??????????? Does anyone know?

I tried to make a reservation two weeks ago at Palo's and it said it was completely full, so I guess I missed out on that one....oh well, dining by myself didn't sound like a lot of fun anyways...so I'll leave that up to all you "happily married, need a nice evening out couples"... I'll watch the kiddo's for you !!!

Pirate Party.... I just bought him a 60 dollar halloween costume...didn't know about the Pirate thing...... so will a patch and head scarf work????? I hate to go buy another costume for this.

Also, YES..this is our first trip to both Disney World and for the cruise.... I feel like I'm a complete idiot... because truly, I know nothing...... we are staying at the Caribbean for the first part of our trip..... I don't know if I need to make reservations for eating or not.... I'm not sure exactly where the rides are or how to even plan the days..... where to be for the firework shows...... Yes, I'm blonde... lol.
