Evening... just got back from the campaign HQ grand opening get together.

Sadly, my logo was rejected right before it was set to go to the printing presses :( The national campaign said it was good, but potentially polarizing.. le sigh.

Oh Blech, I'm sorry :( I liked that logo... how was the rest of the get together?

I was watching Keith's show and I was surprised at people saying he looked upset. Sure he was on the defensive but I thought he handled it well. I don't always agree with the talking heads.

Good practice for when he debates McCain.

She has obvious body language when she lies--she looks away and squirms. And what was up with that half-assed apology re her bravery under sniper fire in Iraq. It was clear she felt she had nothing to apologize for.

You know that was such a short blip, did she apologize because she knew at the time she said it that it wasn't true, or was she sorry because she misspoke.... I turned my back for the one sentence & then couldn't figure out exactly which it was?

It was the full first 70 minutes (until 9:10 or so) that she didn't look at that camera, she was very uncomfortable with something, maybe I was the only one that noticed it, but to me it stuck out...

I watched the show as well... the one thing they picked up that really bothered me as well, was this notion of having an umbrella for all Arab nations that would sign up not to have Nuclear weapons.... that the U.S. would step up for them if they were attacked by Iran (who hasn't attacked anyone since the 1700's), since when did anyone in the Arab world really want us to sign up for that? I certainly don't want our already stretched military spread out for something like that, I thought it was a rather bad idea, I didn't like the idea AT ALL... As I say, since when have we become the World's keepers???

Actually, it went quite well :) A lot of local politicians showed up and a pair of local mayors, as well as a local political party (PPR) endorsed Obama and pledged their support.

We got some work done on a walk-in campaign info center open which the public can go to as well as more materials that need to be made (flags, stickers, FLYERS, 11x17's, etc)... but so far so good

Today, I bought a pair of campaign shirts, a stack of stickers, and buttons.

Excellent! Sounds like you've got yourself quite a grassroots effort started!!! Can we all join you on Primary day??? My kids don't get out of school until June 12th though, perhaps they could miss a few days...

Come on down and enjoy the tropics. Our primary is actually on a Sunday, so... ;)

That might work for us! I'll see what we can manage.... we might have a dance recital that day come to think of it, it'd be great to be there though...

On an aside, there's outrage on all the major news carriers websites and blogs on this fine evening...

Well, I think it was a better debate for Hillary. But, what will that mean in the long run ...not much. Her approval ratings continue to be far behind McCain and Obama. 60% of people think she is not honest. And as far as debates go, Kerry and Gore won everyone hands down against Bush, didn' they?

I'll admit it-I couldn't even bring myself to turn it on. At this stage in the game, I know everything that I need to know. I've studied their positions on their websites, looked at their voting records-and most importantly-compared them to John McCain. I simply can't stand the sniping about the stupid stuff anymore. I'm ready to have the two of them play poker, run a lap around the track, or have a cage fight to JUST SETTLE THIS ALREADY!!!

http://thepage.time.com/obama-release-on-oklahoma-superdelegate-endorsement/

Another super has come aboard, That is FIVE in two days, he picked up two Tim previously reported and then two more yesterday. Carson, Price, Watt, Thomas (a former Clinton supporter), and Whitten

This is Today's Superdelegate Endorsement

OKLAHOMA SUPERDELEGATE ENDORSES BARACK OBAMA

Superdelegate Reggie Whitten Cites Obama’s Commitment to Strengthening the Middle Class, Unite Us for Change

Chicago, IL - Today, Oklahoma Superdelegate Reggie Whitten endorsed Barack Obama, citing his ability to unite Americans for change and his proven track record of standing up for middle class families and workers.

His statement regarding the endorsement is below:

“I have decided to endorse Senator Barack Obama and will work wholeheartedly to see him become the next President of the United States. Some say there is no particular need to endorse at the present time. However, I believe this is a defining moment, not only for our Party, but also more importantly for our country. Therefore, I made the decision to commit now.

“While deciding to support Senator Obama, I thought of my history and my future. I’m from the small town of Seminole, Oklahoma: a city that is predominantly hard-working middle class citizens. It is important that our next President keep small towns like Seminole in mind when he talks about our economy. I am very sincere in my belief that Senator Obama will do just that. When I talk about my future, I, like most people, think of my children. The next administration will have a great deal to say about their future and the world they inherit. As a parent, I am confident Senator Obama has the courage, skill, and experience necessary to lead America forward.

“Whether it is his willingness to tell corporate America what it needs to hear instead of what it wants to hear, restoring America’s standing abroad, or inspiring young Americans to commit themselves to public service, Senator Obama’s message is equally refreshing and inspiring. It is no coincidence that voters, especially young voters, are turning out to vote in record numbers.

“As we move closer to the convention and, from there, to the general election in November, I am certain Senator Obama will continue to build a broad coalition of Democrats, Independents, and yes, even Republicans. He unites us in the belief that without change in Washington, we as a nation cannot begin to address the challenges and opportunities of our future.

“In conclusion, for these reasons and many more, I’m proud today to stand with Barack Obama and his growing movement for change.”

Not sure of the rationale behind it, but the point of tonight's chat fest was clearly let's grill Obama and see if we can stick it to him. ;)

Their greatest nightmare: They can't. They think if you just ask the questions, they did some damage. Wrong and I hope they never get it.

America is not stupid. Americans know a BS job when they see one. They saw one in both the moderators and Shrillary. When will she ever learn that this stuff backfires in her face as it should.

What people saw was a hatchet job and the victim standing tall and keeping their cool when they needed to. That "8 years old" made more than a few people wonder what the hell they were asking. And it was a joy watching Shrillary stick her foot in poop over and over again.

Just consider the headllines this morning if Shrillary was able to step out of the talking points and say this as a response: "Gentleman, it really is ridiculous to ask a man to answer for someone else's actions when that man was 8 years old at the time". And then she'd move on to talk about her plans and policies. But, noooo, Shrillary can't do that. She is incapable of thinking on the fly.

The classic definition of insanity ""is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. "

Stand back and go hmmm. Makes you wonder about Shrillary.

This morning on GMA George Stepanopoulos said that he heard several prominent Pennsylvanians were going to switch to Obama. Hope he's right and that they do it today. He said the reason is they think Hillary is too negative. She had chances to take the high road last night and never did.

I don't know that she "won" the debate but just that everyone is saying what a hard time Obama had. The one thing I hope Obama got right is that the voters are smarter than to fall for this crap.

I hope he got this right as well. But there are people whose decision making is based on nonissues such as wearing a flag pin in the lapel to illustrate patriotism.

Those people have interesting priorities. :rolleyes1 Have you noticed that those who worry themselves silly over flag pins, seem to express few concerns about the continuing death toll in Iraq?

I just don't get that at all. It's probably the same people that think the 2nd amendment covers owning an assult rifle. Problem is Rove turned all that into an art form for Bush. Won't be long before the fear mongering starts, because only McCain can keep us safe.

I was just wondering what you Obama supporters think about the fact that I've heard that Hillary/Bill are gearing up to basically swipe the nomination from Obama, using the super delegates and even trying to get the pledged delegates (which she says aren't pledged) to swing her way and give it to her. Will you guys be outraged if she manages to pull this off? The only reason I'm asking is that I"ve heard that the Clinton's have more or less kept hold of the democratic party power wise, not sure how, but that's what I've heard, so I'm guessing that this is a definite possibility. I personally think it would outrage the Obama supporters and basically make them riot.:confused3

Picked that one up, did you? That attitude was one of the many reasons that I changed allegiances to the Democratic party. I could give a rats behind if a candidate wears a flag pin or not, I'm not watching whether or not they put their hand on their hearts for the Star Spangled Banner or if they're singing the words, I'm not counting how many times they say "God Bless America"....

I want to know how they're going to end the war, how they're going to help people get through this economy, how they're going to deal with health care...and I know that about all three of them now.

That's some news flash. Where did you hear that?;)
Why do you Nader/McCain supporters think riots are a possibility? :rolleyes1
