NYE Fireworks

Question. Is it true that on the night before NYE, WDW does a test run of the fireworks? And, if true, what time do they generally fire them off?

On Dec. 30th, historically they have shown the Magic Kingdom NYE fireworks. They start at midnight, just like NYE! (actually they might have started at 11:50, so they finish at midnight). They were great. It was still very crowded, but supposedly a lot better than on NYE itself, but we were at DHS on NYE.

That's what I thought, but I wasn't sure. Last year, we too were at DHS on NYE, but, because we arrived on the 31st, we didn't have a chance to see the preview show. This year we might try to get into MK on NYE, but, on the chance that we don't, we would like to see the fireworks which we heard we AWESOME!!!
