OOhhh!! I love Three Dog Night!! And the Doobies!!! Laxlad has started listening to Three Dog Night and ELO.

When I was in HS, I was listening to Journey, Toto, The Police, Aerosmith, and Chicago. Then disco hit. Uhhhggg. Disco. Would love to forget some of that time frame. Mainly the hair and the clothes!!! My kids think it is hysterical!.

Interesting choice of music. What year was that? I grew up listening to Lynard Skynard, Elton John, Pink Floyd. :lmao: Sorry, I couldn't help myself!:goodvibes

My favorites right now would be Third Day, Stephen Curtis Chapman, FFH, Casting Crowns and Mercy Me. I haven't heard Fernando lately.

Grandbuddy, I never told you that we took a Klove cruise. Fantastic! You must add it to your list of must do's!

Wow, Disboards before coffee!? You are dedicated...or obsessed...or addicted!!! Pick one!:lmao: This from she who is letting the Roomba sweep so she can be here!!!

70's Yeah Baby!! I had an older brother who introduced me to TDN and Boz Scaggs.

ACK! Ok, I got my estoppel paperwork on May 9th. ( Friday ) got the paperwork and check sent on Monday. It's been in Nancy's office for a full week and the sellers haven't returned their paperwork yet...

Do they not want their money?:confused3

Oh great... after this Pergatory they call ROFR - there can be even more delays in this process - :hourglass
Can't believe they're holding back on finalizing the deal. What id the matter with some people???

I listen to them too!! Every now and them I'll pop in a CD of my old HS music, and the memories that come back, well lets just say I need a dose of Mercy Me after that!:goodvibes

:lmao: :lmao:

Recently I saw Toby Mac on GMC and I really like his stuff too. Laxlad likes him and Hawk Nelson. I really don't listen to anything else anymore. Once in awhile an oldies station. Too much negative stuff in music anymore!

Not sure what a Klove cruise might be. But my son and his family know the Chapmans. They are part of a play group in Nashville, for folks that have adopted from China. They (the Chapmans) have a "play barn" where the get-togethers are held, sometimes. My other son and his wife know the members of Jars of Clay, and get together with them sometime. When one of the members of Avalon dropped out three or four years ago, Phillip (my younger boy) was close to taking his spot; but the husband of one of the other members decided he wanted to be with his wife (and who can blame him?), so he gave up touring on his own (don't know his name), and joined Avalon, instead. There's a big Contemporary Christian presence in Nashville.

And yes, maybe all three adjectives would apply to me, with regard to the Disboards.

Oh, and I haven't seen anyone mention a group whose music I don't enjoy! My tastes are somewhat eclectic. I even like the MUSIC from the disco era - just not the outfits (and yes, may the Lord forgive me, I once owned TWO, (count 'em, TWO) LEISURE SUITS!) Oh the shame. Well, I'm glad I got that off my chest. It was the seventies, and I was "in style"...what can I say?

Klove is a national contemporary Christian radio station based in California. You can listen online if you go to www.Klove.com. They do an annual Christian music cruise. They charter the boat. Avalon was on it the year we went. You must mean Greg Long who used to be with Petra. FFH and For Him were on the boat too.

Love Stephen and Mary Beth. Shohanna's Hope is a terrific charity. There is a couple on Klove who adopted a little girl from China after hosting a segment with Stephen to raise money for his charity. John and Sherry Rivers are on in the morning. They crack me up.

Anyway, check Klove out. It sounds like they play music you would like as opposed to Air1 that plays Christian music like Laxlad likes!

Leisure suits? Well, they say confession is good for the soul!!

I used to listen to SCC all the time in middle and high school. I loved his music!! I saw him in concert a few times. I haven't heard any of his recent stuff. One of my favorite songs of his is "His Eyes".

There is another version of it at one of his concerts where there is a silhouette of a Dad dancing with a young girl. It follows the song to the end where a young woman in her bridal gown leaves him standing along. OMG! Tears are a flowing and I don't have daughters!!!

Collegeman and I danced to "Find your Wings" by Mark Harris. Check that one out if you want a good cry!!!

O.K. Listen you two!!!! My wife pulls this crap all the time. I don't want to listen to these songs, I'm in Law Enforcement and A Football Coach and I don't cry! So stop it! My little baby girl princess: is not going to grow up any time soon until I say so, so I don't like it when they play these songs and I turn into a big baby and it's embarrassing here at work. I hope you two are happy now! I had a hard enough time getting through the "Daddy and Me" dance last year in one piece without embarrassing the crap out of myself. I don't know when I became this way, it must be an age thing. Just stop it!!

I can't make it through this one in one piece, Stealing Cinderella:

I'd hand you a tissue if you weren't so far away.

No really I just got something in my eye, but you see what they're doing, GB. It ain't right. I have to fight back, I'm going to go find some "mother/son" songs and post them see if they like it. Ya, that'll teach 'em.

  Great song! Hadn't heard it before.

They just grow up too fast. Yesterday was Collegeman and Princess's 2 year anniversary. My baby will be 18. Where are those tissues?

My plan to fight back failed. Those songs get to me too. I have to go do something else. I don't know what just something.
