Nope, not a Stones fan. Love Aerosmith though!! I'm better now! Nothing some green tea can't cure!

Good Morning, Sunshines!

Geesh, Susan, it does seem like you've taken forever to close. I wonder if it's a HHI thing. Kris's first contract was HHI and that was the one that she offered on in Oct and never closed until Jan. :scared1:

Well, it's got to be soon.

I'm going to call Nancy today to check on my closing. She's had my docs for a week now so she should know something.

My AKV points are already in the system! There is something to be said about direct from Disney :thumbsup2 ( as long as you don't take too much of a price beating )

Still pouting about Sister Hazel. If I hadn't already bought airfare, we'd be rescheduling the trip..

NOOOOOO!! Don't tell me that! My twitch is back!:scared1:

That is so cool and quick! I agree that you really have to crunch the numbers. As I have said before, our add on will be thru Disney because the closing costs bring us to the $ per point that Disney gets for HHI.

Is the penalty for changing your reservation killer? Sometimes if you got a good enough deal, the penalty isn't too terrible.

Have a great day all...the sun is out and I need to go and fry some bacon! I'll catch up later!!

I'm procrastinating! Don't want to study or do housework! So, I am posting a pic of Laxlad. He is the one in the air having just shot the ball.

I have no idea what the airline would charge. But with bringing friends, I don't want to have them eat the cost. Also, I bet the second week will be much harder to get into being Columbus day and all..

Urrgghh! I just got an e-mail from my rep. at GMAC. She was on vaca for a week. She got back today and is just now submitting my paperwork to the Mouse. I signed the docs last Wednesday so I guess it will be no quick closing for me. :sad2:

Sister Hazel will be playing at Epcot. If anyone has plans to be at Disney the second week of Oct, I am soooooooooooooooooo jealous..

OK, you got me on that one. Afraid I had never heard of the good sister.

We know how hard it is to wait and wonder. Hang in there!

Welcome, Dumbo Fan. 2nd post, and you're with us. We are honored. You'll have to tell us about your buying experience, sometime.

I sooooo agree!!! King of pain!! :lmao: One time drove me nuts!!! AND STILL IS I MIGHT ADD! (Yes I was yelling!) My new moniker will be "she who was on the list forever!!" I may give Buckeye Fan a run for her money for taking the longest!

I was telling Laxdad about your experiences, Grandbuddy. He couldn't believe it! I mean the part about trying 4 times and the problems encountered.

I'll go with "King of Pain," as it has been frustrating. Sometimes I think I have managed to keep it all in perspective, since it hasn't made me just miserable. Then again, when I look at how much time I have spent on the disboards, and poring over listings for sale, and making up charts of how the points on this contract would work out for me, as opposed to the points on that contract - maybe not!

In any case, I am thrilled to have impressed the sexy beast!!!

Meanwhile, I am hoping your paperwork comes in today. From the day I e-mailed my signed contract to purchase contract #1 to the day I actually closed, it was just under 8 weeks. (Of course, 2 of those weeks were spent waiting for the buyer to come home, so you have gone a lot longer than I did, before receiving the closing docs.)

Well, hoping for the purchase contract to arrive today, for SSR 2.4. Yes, I think that is what I shall call it. (Hope there's no need for a 2.5 until I get addonitis!)

:lmao: :lmao:

I'm sorry Welovedisny, unfortunately, I don't think you'll find a handful of folks who would tell you there is such a thing as quick closing on a resale. Hopefully you'll be one of the lucky ones though.

Well I'm happy to pass my addonitis hat to anyone who wants it! ;)

Oh, and Grandbuddy, Sister Hazel is an awesome band. I bet you've heard some of their music on the radio. They have some very well known hits, but they are very hard working and seem to tour all of the time. They are talented, great to listen to, and I'd sooooooooooooooooooo love to see them at Epcot.. If it wasn't a 6 hour drive, I'd consider going back for one night to see them play...:rolleyes1

In the amount of time it took me to type my post, we went through almost another page! Great picture, Susan. But, has that other rude young man grabbed the beast's stick? That doesn't seem friendly! On closer inspection, maybe Laxlad's stick is that other blur, and the rude young man is attempting to club your boy with his stick thingy. Also unacceptable.

You must be working with Carolyn. She seems very nice, as I was originally talking to her (SSR 2.1 and 2.2). Then she was on vacation when I called back to keep trying. Glad she's safely back...and that your paperwork is getting back on track.

I was going to drive 6 hours to see Third Day a couple years ago but they sold out so fast I didn't get tickets!!

And that would be called lacrosse!!! And.....it gets worse!! Or better. You know what I mean.

I am working with Carolyn also and she has been great. You have no worries! Our sellers took a week to get our paperwork back so we didn't go to ROFR when we expected either. You'll be past this sooner than you think! Then you get to experience estoppleland!! Now that is some fun! I am not even sure where I am now. Maybe Lalaland.

Grandbuddy, that rude boy is clubbing my Laxlad. I guess that is the difference between hockey and lacrosse; you can hit with the stick. You can also check. One of our players we knocked out last Thursday after we left. He was "checked" and his head hit the turf. He has a concussion. Luckily, Laxlad hasn't experienced any of that. Only bruises from getting clubbed!

I'm letting the Roomba sweep the kitchen! I love technology!!:cool1:

Here is what was e-mailed to me by Carolyn:

Disney legally has up to 30 days to make a decision, however in 95% of the cases they do it within 2-3 weeks or so. This is usually the hardest part of the transaction because there is nothing we can do but wait during this process. We cannot contact Disney for an update or correspond with them until they have reviewed the file and made a decision. So we have to have lots of patience right now.....

Using a credit card for payment is perfectly OK if that is more convenient for you but it does add some time to the process. The title companies do not accept credit cards for payment so we would have to run the card on our account wait for our accounting department to issue a check and then send it to the title company who will then wait until the funds clear before they will complete the closing. I would say that would add at least another week or two to the whole transaction. But we have a few clients who chose to do it that way.

So now my only choice is to wait.....popcorn::

ACK! Ok, I got my estoppel paperwork on May 9th. ( Friday ) got the paperwork and check sent on Monday. It's been in Nancy's office for a full week and the sellers haven't returned their paperwork yet...

Do they not want their money?:confused3

I'm thinking you are A LOT younger than I am, and that I had switched over to the "oldies" station (You know - great songs of the 70's and 80's) by the time Hazel found her voice. The acts I saw on tour would include, like: Jan and Dean, The Beach Boys, The Who (VERY early), Gary Lewis and the Playboys, the Shangri-Las, Roy Orbison, and MANY others of that era; then Rare Earth, Jose Feliciano, Johnny Mathis, Heart (one of my personal all-time favorites!), Rod Stewart and Faces, Three Dog Night 2 times, and Kansas 2 times.

Then, suddenly I was at concerts by John Denver and Barry Manilow! What happened here? Seldom attend live music concerts, now.

I love Third Day. Jars of Clay. Even the Newsboys. Jaci Velasquez. But my personal favorite right now is Fernando Ortega. Such a mellow voice!

Yes, grasshopper. You are not the first to have asked this question on this very thread.

Listen, I came straight here from bed. I've gotta go have my coffee. I'll check back later.

OOhhh!! I love Three Dog Night!! And the Doobies!!! Laxlad has started listening to Three Dog Night and ELO.

When I was in HS, I was listening to Journey, Toto, The Police, Aerosmith, and Chicago. Then disco hit. Uhhhggg. Disco. Would love to forget some of that time frame. Mainly the hair and the clothes!!! My kids think it is hysterical!

I have only heard of a couple of instances that took 30 days....unless you are buying Marriott but that is another story!!! I think you will know something in a couple of weeks.

I honestly don't understand people. I guess it is just me. If I were ready to sell, I'd be READY TO SELL! That means responsive!! We have seen it over and over on this thread.
