and I want to go out today. I guess I need to cover it with plastic and duct tape?? I wonder how long that will last?

I swear, if you didn't have bad luck, you'd have no luck at all! :earseek:

I had my power window get stuck halfway down on my old car. Two days before going to WDW! I was able to get it fixed quick, it was about $400 but luckily covered under the warranty (needed a new window motor). They were able to force the window back up so it would be closed before they were able to work on it.

This happened to DH yesterday too! His window had been making this grating noise and he thought he had road salt in it or something, but turns out the cable is almost frayed through. He had it fixed temporarily but the part alone costs $207. So right now he can't do any drive through! Plus the fact that it is only a 2002 AValanche, not some old beater!
