oh, i'm getting sooo excited !! it's not until sept 27th, 2009, but my mother and i have been planning because she is meeting the wedding planner in august; i can't go to the first meeting because of work. :-( blah. well, i'll get to go in june 2009 for a planning session. my family is getting over the 'shock' of it being at disney and my future father in law is being really sweet after the whole bribing thing so things are a lot better. :-)

sooo ... my question is: what did you lovely brides do to pass the time ?!?! what with work and friends moving to town i know it's going to be a busy year and a half, but what did you do??

i've been downloading everything disney into my ipod like a mad woman and i'm on the treadmill every day watching my disney things and walking. oh and for you ladies with an ipod -- they have 'seasons of disney', a series of shows on disney, and they have a wedding show on there you can download from itunes for $1.99. it's the one called 'the disney royal treatment'.

any suggestions on what to do while waiting? i'm going mad !! lol. i'm so excited and i love reading everyone's planning journals !!

It doesn't sound like you're good at sitting still. Neither am I! I am having an at home reception, so at the year and a half mark, I researched sites, caterers, etc etc etc. Then I came up with "the 3-week long honeymoon" then knocked it down to the "little over a week honeymoon we can actually afford." I researched hotels, places to eat, bought travel books to read. I bought a dress and read wedding magazines and all that jazz. Researching things was the key to keeping myself entertained :)

Then I only had a handful of things left to research... and I still had a year left. :confused3. I booked a few vendors for the 'at home' thing once in awhile, but overall, life has just continued as normal. There's only so much you can do ahead of time... like with Disney and my escape wedding and how you can't plan anything before 8 months before the wedding. Not much you can do then.

I will have had a year and a half long engagement when all is done. I think I will have spent most of it on the Dis!

This is why I waited until April to book a September wedding!;)

Less waiting!:teeth:

(just kidding, kinda)
