November/December 2016 discount code watch

I know some (including me) got an email from TP saying the crowd calendar for their dates were updated with these crazy high crowd levels. Then I read a couple posts say they got another email the next day with the crowd levels back down in the 2's and 3's. Has anyone else gotten the newer email with crowds back down to normal December levels?
I was so hopeful, but I never got another email with more reasonable crowd levels. :/

With "Awaken Summer" and summer deals still headlining the frontpage, maybe Fall/Winter discounts will show up at the end of August. With free dining having run its course already this year, I can't imagine anything other than the usual Fall/Winter room discount being the featured discount after the summer discounts expire. The room availability is a little concerning, but they offered room discounts during peak summer season which gives me hope.

The CM I spoke with yesterday did say they usually come out when the current promos end - she said look throughout August but especially near the end of August.

I didn't - I only had one day drop like crazy after the big increase, and I think it was newly announced that MK is closing early that day.

I didn't - I only had one day drop like crazy after the big increase, and I think it was newly announced that MK is closing early that day.

None of mine went back down, but the parks I had are pretty much still 5 and under after the increase. The biggest "jump" I saw was the Saturday I am there. MK went to a 9! I had not planned on going to MK that day, but I will 100% be avoiding it now!

Well, after listening to Pete talk about the AP discount being offered on the latest DIS podcast, I have to say I am feeling a little more optimistic about the possibility of a discount. Koz/Poly - how was your morning CM wrangle?

Did he say that he thinks an AP discount will be coming out for the fall?

He was talking about an AP discount out now that's valid for travel through 11/5, but it sparked a conversation about how he expects we're going to see some unusual discounts going forward (i.e. not just free dining). I get the podcast through Podcast Republic, but it was posted as of yesterday I think.

I think we will see discounts for 2018 before we see any discounts for us poor folks that continue to hound CM's.
