NOVEMBER 2012 Trip Planners Thread~ Everybody is Welcome~Part 3 already!

Thank you for doing all of that for me!!! My daughter will 5 by then so it will be a little lower and after reading that I'm really hoping for a room discount!!! 30% would be great! 40% would be even better!! At this point, I'm considering either WL or Contemporary, leaning more towards WL.

Since you stayed there recently may I ask how transportation was? That's my only concern, does it make it hard to take breaks back at the resort when you're relying on buses?

We're thinking Dec 5-15, 2013 and I think WL would be stunning at Christmas! But that's if we get a room discount, otherwise I will try for AoA LM and hope it still won't be blocked if there's a FD'ing offer!

We loved WL! It was our first stay at a Deluxe. The transportation was not bad at all. We took the boat of course to MK and sometimes we took the boat to catch the monorail to Epcot, but usually just took the buses. We found the buses to run quite regularly with no unusual waits. The distance to, say, DTD was a bit longer than we were used to, but it wasn't a problem. We took afternoon breaks every day with no problem.

As for Christmas decorations...just WOW! The tree in the main lobby is spectacular. There is a huge fireplace with lots of seating around it which is pretty neat. There is also a quieter more remote fireplace upstairs to the left as you face WCC. It was empty of people when we were there and very cozy.

Smileybug is the WL expert here. She could probably tell you a lot better than I about the transportation. Okay, so now I officially want to go back to WL!!

me too!!!! I just got sucked into buying some Disney princess dolls as they are on the site for $1 and I got each of the little girls 2 to match their princess dresses.... AND I got big DD chesire cat and chip and dale!

ok so I stopped the corinary myself. I booked 3 different ressies for 4 ppl. even though we have a 3 peron table I didnt want them squished into one row. I think this wil work better! Able to get a 815 time insead of 810!

So I *think* I messed up and am having a panic attack! I osted osmething on FB about our Sci-fi ressie and ten smeone said they seat larger parties in the back at picnic tables and we WANT cars! I dont mind being split up...its my fault I should have scheduled it seperately. I dont know what to do. We can alwasy s for car tables bt it may mean loner wait time. the park closes at 8 so maybe it ont be that bad...HELP! Any advice before I give myself a corinary! (sp)

If you arrive a bit early for your ADR and request to be seated at the cars, they will accommodate you I'm sure. I say go early b/c it will probably be a bit of a wait to get the cars. Although, as you point out, it will be fairly late, so it may all work out. Is this the night you'e doing Fantasmic? If so, maybe stop in during the day and talk to the CM there about your dilemma and see what she suggests. Take a deep breath....:good vibes

Well yesterday DS was sick all day (throwing up) and got a call from MIL this morning and she's now got it. Hopefully she's feeling better soon b/c DD's birthday party is tonight.

Is it November yet?!! Can't do enough to keep me distracted. How are you guys getting through the days?

Focusing on anything BUT Disney at this point...! We just had the mad dash to book excursions and check in time for our cruise... it was super stressful and I am glad it is done! Now I am focusing on rocking it at work, trying to keep my house cool through this heat spurt and all the other things I have been neglecting during Disney planning! It helps that we are focused on running the W+D 1/2 as well - training is keeping us very much occupied, especially now that August is here and finding the right temp/times to do it takes some work. We also signed up for a CSA and using all the veggies up when we get our load takes some planning as well - tomatoes are starting to ripen on our plants so I need to start considering what I will can with them. Salsa? Pasta sauce? Summer is FLYING by - we never did make it out to do berry picking and we haven't even found a single day to head to the beach yet!

The 3rd is a 2 overall. Epcot is a 1.2 and AK is a 5.3.

This will be my first trip having touringplans. I always thought it was crazy to spend $10 for info I could get for free. Now that I know it gives you the crowd level for each park and allows you to customize your touring plan...well...I think I'm in love!

I used to have touringplans, but let it expire b/c I wasn't planning a trip for 2012. Then we end up planning not one but 2 trips!! I'm waiting until the new Unofficial Guide comes out this month and then I'll buy it and use the discount they give to join touringplans. I also love having the breakdown for each park. We are there on Dec 1 when the taping of the parade takes place and the overall CL is a 7, but I know when I look at the different parks for that day, there will be some great CLs in other parks. Definitely worth it to me!

4th 4 overall..best HS 3.8 avoid MK 5.6
5th 4 overall best Epcot 3.1 and AK 1.6 avoid MK 4.9
6th 3 overall best AK 1.3 avoid E 4.6 (HS is 1.9)
7th 4 overall best AK 1.6 avoid E 7.2
8th 4 overall best HS 2.4 avoid MK 5.6 (AK is 2.6)

Thanks looks like crowds won't be terribly bad. Even on the "crowded" days. We plan Nov. 26 AK, 27- Epcot, 28- rest day, 29 Epcot, 30- we don't know. I don't really care for DHS we may leave it up to our exchange student to pick.
