Our flight leaves Philadelphia @ 7a, so we'll get to the airport around 5:45a -- eeeeek! I will have to find some snaks that are total junk food...

GORP is alway a good travel snack! (you may call it trial mix) raisins cheerios mini mms. I still love it. Great thing is they are relaxing on food, February I was able to take hummus and an orange through security at MCO without any problem!

Still toying with the idea of getting the Rapunzel wedding dress for dd for our next trip. The review say that the amount of glitter that comes off of this thing is crazy. Any ideas what to do with the thing when she decides she wants to take it off. We'll have our stroller, but do I bring a hanger or try to roll it and put it in a bag in the basket? I want to use it again on our cruise.

i got it for dd9 i took it out side and shook it alot to get (hopefully most off) but tons of glitter

Hairspray helps. It keeps the glitter from falling off.

great idea!

Just make sure you spray it somewhere hidden to make sure it doesn't cause a color change or any type of staining. I used hairspray on something. I guess I had sprayed it a little heavy and it caused a wet spot. When it dried you could see the "border" of the spot.

ew.. yes thanks. I only have one overly glittered dress. Darn Cinderella dress! LOL

I have started to think about what we are doing on this trip and how we will get from point A to point B and the only thing that is scaring me are the early morning breakfasts!

Why are they scaring you?

I looked at my plans and estimated what time we would be getting back to the hotel each night and what time we were getting up the next morning. It's a little less sleep than we usually get. I just hope we're still having a good time by the end of the trip and not exhausted.

yes we are getting back on non DTD nights at 930 at the earliest and up as 6am! I am not sure this will work with the little kids.... I guess its immediately bath and bed when we are in the room! I dont know how to make it work better unless we cut out lunch and then do an earlier dinner BUT I love my schedule so we will see how it works out I guess. Oh I know we will be exhausted BUT since we have 2 days in each park we dont have to rush. We cna go slow and take in the sights and sounds this time. We have the DxDP and to tell you the truth, we dont take breaks in the afternoon so I need down time. SInce being diagnosed with IC, I get tired soooo easily now. Just making all those shirts and doing the closet tired me out plus the cookout yesterday, Im exhausted today!!! I dont know how I will EVER make it in WDW

We don't know... she's never flown & I feel like leaving for our first family vacation to the happiest place on Earth is a perfect time for her to have a MAJOR meltdown over flying.

I could be totally wrong -- and H thinks she will love it -- but my biggest fear is having her and the baby ruin the flight for everyone on board. :headache:

My DD3.5 has been flying regularly since she was 5 months old. I was so nervous about her first flight b/c I didn't want to bother anyone but I was nursing at the time so it was very easy to keep her calm. That said, I'm sure you're already planning this but bring a change of clothes for the young one and more diapers than you think you'll need. The first year or so she would always have a diaper blow out when we flew!:confused3

Once she was about 2, I always brought a portable DVD player with and earphones and she would happily watch her movies until it was time to pack it away for landing. Easy peasy, no problems. Last year when we flew to Norway she stayed awake for the whole flight and when I would occasionally dose off she would wake me to say, "It's time for a new movie!" She was up over 24 hours straight and did better than me!:rotfl:

Sounds like you are prepared to make schedule changes if you have to. Thats the important thing. If you are tired stress is going to be your enemy so staying organized will go along way to aleviate that. :thumbsup2

I am also nervous. The only thing that is making me a little more easy about it is the stroller--I know my little girls will sleep in there if they are tired.

I tried not to pack my schedule so tight with late nights and early mornings, so this is what I have as of now:

MONDAY:Our first day we arrive and go straight to Hollywood Studios. We have a 2:30 lunch ressie at Sci-Fi Dine-In and a 7:55p dinner at 50's Prime Time that night after Fantasmic! We might not even stay until the end of Magic Hours (closes @ 10p) we are playing that by ear.

TUESDAY: Our Chef Mickey ressie is at 7:10a, but Magic Kingdom closes at 8:30p that night so we won't be out too late. We may even go back for a nap after our 11:30a lunch at Liberty Tree, depending on how the little girls are holding up. We head over to the Whispering Canyon Cafe for our 5:00 ressie, then back to the park until close (8:30 after Wishes).

WEDNESDAY: Epcot-- Our longest day, with Magic Hours until midninght. We start the day with an Akershus ressie is at 8:10a, so not too early... and we will leave for a few hours after lunch and stay at the resort until around 5 before we head back to the park. Our Coral Reef ressie is at 7p, then we'll enjoy the (((hopefully))) less crowded park until midnight, or as long as the kids hold up.

THURSDAY: Half of our group is going to Universal, so it's a rest day for the little girls & me. We're eating at Cape May Cafe at 8:40a and have nothing planned after that (maybe DTD, maybe MK, maybe just playing at the resort). We have a 7:10 dinner at 1900 Park Fare, then it's early to bed for us.

FRIDAY: Our last full day- Animal Kingdom. We have a 8:20a breakfast at Tusker House, lunch at Flame Tree and them we're heading back to the resort around 3p to get ready for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party  I have no idea what we'll do for dinner. Maybe we'll grab something at the resort (Landscapes of Flavors is getting good reviews) or order in pizza. I don't want to waste time eating at the Xmas party, so we're eating before for sure! I want to stay as late as possible, we'

Saturday: We leave we have a 8:05 breakfast at Cindy's Royal Table and we'll hang around the Magic Kingdom for a few hours before heading to the airport.

We come home on a Saturday and have Sunday & Monday (Veteran's Day) to recover before going back to work and school!

I know it's all speculation, but I hope my plan runs smoothly! I tried to build in down time -- the ADRs are designed for that -- and I know it will be worth the exhaustion in the end pixiedust:

Sewing, sewing, sewing today! Got two more outfits done and will have 4 more shirts done tonight! My little dude is cutting his last eye teeth and is miserable, so apart from nursing nursing nursing him every 30 minutes because of the pain - all I've done today is sew! So fun!

Any special anniversary ideas? I am trying to think of something to surprise my DH with while we are there. Going without kids, the planning seems so different.

Special tours? Wishes or Illuminations Cruise? Round of Golf or Fishing trip? Wishes Dessert Party? Special cake? Cake/Dessert and Champagne delivered to the room?

Thanks for the suggestions of going somewhere close -- I just made a ressie for Whispering Canyon Cafe@ 5pm! I was hoping for something closer to 6, so I'll keep trying... but with a 7:10a breakfast at Chef Mickey and 11:30a lunch at Liberty Tree, we might be ready to scarf down the Canyon Skillet by 5p!

The girls are going to be excited to take the boat ride over!

Good choice!! I'd stick with the 5pm or at least 5:30 if you want to make it back for Wishes! 6pm would probably work, but better safe than sorry since you might run into transportation issues, delays eating, ect. For me, "regular" Wishes is a MUST! Holiday Wishes is beautiful, but "regular" Wishes just has me in tears every single time - I can't go to WDW without it. As this if your first trip, I HIGHLY recommend not missing it - it's just way too special to miss!

I have a few ideas right now. So far the plan is to tell them we are dropping H off at the airport (which we have done in the past) and to have their bags packed in the back of our van. I want to decorate the trunk and have them open it to "help daddy get his bags." When the trunk opens they will see balloons, their brand new Disney Princess carry-ons and a sign that says "You're going to Disney World!"

My only fear is that my middle daughter, who is 3, will need some prep time before we get on the plane. We are meeting family in WDW, so the back-up plan is to tell them we are flying to meet family -- whcih isn't a lie-- and they will realize where we are when we get there.

I like plan #1 much better, and H thinks our daughter will be too excited to care about flying... we'll see! I plan to video the surprise so I'll show it off when we get back :goodvibes

I LOVE LOVE LOVE plan #1! How great! :cool1:

we have the same adr for epcot breakfast :)

I'm so glad that I hadn't paid our trip in full. I'm so angry at DH school. We caught a hiccup begining of July, and are still awaiting the school to figure out his pell grant issues. So much for doing his FAFSA in March. Payment for the fall classes are due on Wednesday, because the school didn't get his pell grant stuff done they couldn't forward info to the VA. Thus leaving us a bill of $4500 good bye savings. We will be reimbursed once everything clears, and were told that we should have all monies back by the begining of October. Our payment is due by October 11. Now I am freaking out, and of we go in February the trip is going to be much more expensive as of right now :( I'm not one to trust the University or the VA much. I don't know if I should ride it out, or cancel and wait.
