Any special anniversary ideas? I am trying to think of something to surprise my DH with while we are there. Going without kids, the planning seems so different.

DH and I are eating an early supper at CRT and then going into the MVMCP on our anniversary. I'm also trying to fit a carriage ride in somewhere during the week. :goodvibes

Thanks for the suggestions of going somewhere close -- I just made a ressie for Whispering Canyon Cafe@ 5pm! I was hoping for something closer to 6, so I'll keep trying... but with a 7:10a breakfast at Chef Mickey and 11:30a lunch at Liberty Tree, we might be ready to scarf down the Canyon Skillet by 5p!

The girls are going to be excited to take the boat ride over!

DH and I enjoy the boat. As well as the walk up the board walk into the back of the WL. :goodvibes The Whispering Canyon Cafe is alot of fun. Make sure someone in your group ask for ketchup.

Not a problem.. my 6 year old DD has to dip everything in ketchup!! We would havto request it even if it wasn't part of the fun :rotfl:

Well, I don't know whether to be sad or look at it as fate, buuuuut, neither of the Port Orleans Resorts are available 11/27-12/3. Pop Century is a go though. Now wondering if perhaps we should stay at the Hilton in downtown Disney. Anyone stayed there before?

I saw that you've decided on Swan/Dolphin. I think you'll be happy there. I have never stayed there myself, but know people who did and they like it. It's not my taste, but then I like the theming and clearly your sis probably wouldn't. Just as long as you get to go to Disney, that's all that really matters, right? Glad you were able to work it out.:goodvibes

Makes me so excited to see all of the Christmas decorations in November!

Thanks for sharing that link...now I'm super pumped about being there again at such a special time!!:banana:

I've been taking a posting break (still reading, though!) and I just had to say.... 98 days from today!!!!:banana::banana:

Our babysitter is in WDW right now with her DD and seeing her pics on Facebook is making me more and more excited!!!

We aren't telling our girls about the trip until the morning we leave, so I've been using the babysitters pics as an excuse to talk with them about how great a Disney vacation would be -- if only we could go! Hahahahaha.:rotfl:

98 days still seems so far away....

That's so neat to surprise your kiddos!:yay: Do you know how you're going to tell them?

ANOTHER DINING QUESTION...

Do you only eat at the park you are at?

I made all of my ADRs in the park we will be spending the day in, but I'm having trouble with our dinner ressie for our Magic Kingdom day. The park closes at 8p that day. I am having serious doubts about scoring the coveted BOG ressie, and I do not want to do Crystal Palace for dinner (I have it as a back up now, but I'm hoping to drop it).

The other MK dinner options aren't really drawing me in, either... We're doing Liberty Tree for lunch, so that's out.

I'm wondering if its worth it to leave the park for dinner around 5 for a 6p ressie somewhere else and rush to make it back in time for Wishes @ 8p?

We're going to the Xmas party so we will see Holiday Wishes... do you think we can skip regular Wishes?

I'm torn... :confused3

I agree with others that Tony's or The Plaza would both be good choices. I never miss an opportunity to see Wishes, but that's just me. I think the idea of watching from the beach at the Poly is a great one if you do end up leaving MK. But I wouldn't rule out BOG just yet. You can always make a ressie and then cancel when you get the BOG...think positive!;)

I was going to suggest a carriage ride and/or a tour. We did Keys to the Kingdom tour and it was great! We did the first one of the day and got to be in MK before anyone else and got some great photos. You'll be surprise at how romantic Disney can be without the little ones along. Enjoy!:dance3:

We did the MVMCP for our 25th a couple of years ago. They used to have a "sleigh ride" at Camp Wilderness, but I heard recently that they discontinued that. Now I wish we had gone in 2010 when we had the chance!:sad2:

I have a few ideas right now. So far the plan is to tell them we are dropping H off at the airport (which we have done in the past) and to have their bags packed in the back of our van. I want to decorate the trunk and have them open it to "help daddy get his bags." When the trunk opens they will see balloons, their brand new Disney Princess carry-ons and a sign that says "You're going to Disney World!"

My only fear is that my middle daughter, who is 3, will need some prep time before we get on the plane. We are meeting family in WDW, so the back-up plan is to tell them we are flying to meet family -- whcih isn't a lie-- and they will realize where we are when we get there.

I like plan #1 much better, and H thinks our daughter will be too excited to care about flying... we'll see! I plan to video the surprise so I'll show it off when we get back :goodvibes

Carridge rides are still listed on the Ft. Wilderness Camp Ground page. This is the one I was hoping for. My sister and her husband are doing the one around the POR area. I guess I should go ahead and get this all locked down.

Is your 3 year old afraid of flying?

need some creative help.

how does everyone usually make their autograph books.

i bought avery postcards and cant get the template to work. has anyone ver used this program?>?:confused3

I was thinking...since we will be at Ak on our MVMCP day, we can bus to WL for WCC then boat over to MK! Now I have to work on all the logistics for our trip LOL

Iv used avery business cards before...what program are you using?

i downloaded the program and used the one for index cards and the template is fine but then when i put the pictures in it cuts on most of the end of the 2nd and 4th box and no mater how i move it wont fit, but the 1st and 3rd fit fine.

I use a photoshop program and it will let you custom set your sizes. I don't make autograph books. But I do carry one of those 4x6 clear plastic photo books with all of our info into the parks. And I love the layed backgrounds so a perfect fit is a must. I probably should upgrade. I have had this program for a few years. But I know it. And it works for what I play around with.

Is your 3 year old afraid of flying?

We don't know... she's never flown & I feel like leaving for our first family vacation to the happiest place on Earth is a perfect time for her to have a MAJOR meltdown over flying.

I could be totally wrong -- and H thinks she will love it -- but my biggest fear is having her and the baby ruin the flight for everyone on board. :headache:

Do you have some children's books on flying, going on a trip by plane, that type of thing? Isn't there a Caillou one like that? Perhaps reading something like that would help her to feel comfortable and excited about the idea when she finds out?:confused3 then she could be like Caillou or whatever character? I would also take along new and wrapped little toys/crayolamagic book with Disney theme/special snack to unwrap as she gets restless or upset on the plane or if your baby is screaming so she can be occupied while you are dealing with the baby. Unfortunately, you never know how a child or infant will do until you are in the air. We fly a lot and some flights are murder on our ears and others not so......

You might want to look at some Earplanes brand earplugs to take along for her just in case. I am going to invest in some for myself as the last couple of trips where I flew really hurt my ears so I am going to see if they really work as well.

I was so hoping that someone would have advice for her. :goodvibes

My kids never flew before and at the time, they were 10,6 and 2 and they all did wonderful! They werent scared AT ALL! They were excited!!! I really think they will be too excited to even get scared. and as long as you or DH are sitting with them, maybe dont give them a window at first, they will be fine we did gum for the older 2 and DD2 didnt need anything but looking at earplanes this time for sure!

Still toying with the idea of getting the Rapunzel wedding dress for dd for our next trip. The review say that the amount of glitter that comes off of this thing is crazy. Any ideas what to do with the thing when she decides she wants to take it off. We'll have our stroller, but do I bring a hanger or try to roll it and put it in a bag in the basket? I want to use it again on our cruise.
