Someone please post if they hear of discounts w/different check in dates. I need to check in 11/3 due to flights and would love a PIN!!

Call to check if you have a PIN. I am checking in that day and had a 20% off room and ticket discount Unfortunately, I don't think FD will be happening since its Jersey Week, among a bunch of other things going on.

How often does everyone call to see if there is a pin attached to their name? I called for the first time this morning after reading this thread! There wasn't one but the CM was very nice and said to just keep checking. We are arriving on the 9th to stay at Pop but after more research I would love to switch it over to A of A!! I am afraid to do this just yet because of offers coming out. What should I do!?!? I am new to the free dining and pins. TIA

I called this morning and the CM could only find one under my husbands name and couldnt get it to work and said to call back in a couple of days. I called this afternoon and the new CM found one under my name AND one under my husband's name. Sometimes I think it depends who you talk to.

I usually called once a week, on a Sunday morning, as it was relatively quiet and easier to get through to the CMs.

I'm very excited - I didn't have a pin, but my Dad did and he'll be with us this trip!!! Yay for Free Dining!

So, our anniversary is nov 11 and my sweetie and I were planning to spend our wedding anniversary in WDW. To our (especially my husband's ) delight, Food and Wine will still be going on during our Nov 7-12 trip. However, that weekend is also Veteran's day weekend, "Jersey Week", the last weekend of F&W, and the half marathon. We have determined my DH does not take heavy crowds and lines well. If we have a repeat of our last trips in early August or New Years Eve, it will be a LONG week! Have either of you been at that time? What kinds of waits did you have in line for rides or food? I didn't realize there were quite as many things going on to draw crowds in until after booking our stay at POR....

Our anniversary is on Fri. Nov. 9th. We want to celebrate with a date night at Epcot's F&W Festival as well. What we decided to do is to celebrate on Tues. night while we are there when it will be much less crowded in the World Showcase. Then we will celebrate again with the kids at CRT for dinner on our actual anniversary.

Congrats to everyone who got the FD PIN!!! I have not gotten this PIN although I have gotten a bunch of other PIN's recently. Our arrival date (11/3) is blacked out anyway so I guess it doesn't matter that I didn't receive the PIN. The good news about that is that it means we are sticking with the discounted WL CL booking we have. We will just pay for our meals OOP.

Im sorry to say the blackout dates I received today def began 11/2

OH MAN!

I called to update our flight info for ME and asked about pins and we have this pin for Free Dining but it's blacked out for our arrival date of 11/16. I am SO SO SO bummed!

I'm not willing to change our flights - and don't want the kids missing more school.

Fingers still crossed that a VISA or general offer will come out and include that date (it's a Friday and was included last year I believe but not at first).

Ok you guys....I just priced the same vacation we have currently booked at WL (standard room, 6 nights, plus dining) at AOA and it would save me over $1300 to switch to there. I could even add deluxe dining and still save almost $1000. I don't know what to do!! It's our first trip and I'm having serious anxiety about the cost but loved the new rooms and feel of WL, that being said, AOA standard rooms will be only 2 mos old when we go. What to do, what to do!

I think this is a tough one since no one has any experience with AoA yet and we are all going on our best guess of how it will be. Still $1300 is a lot of money and there will only be 3 of you in a room. We are going deluxe because we need the space, but AoA is very tempting. However, I think your first visit should be magical and if WL is your dream resort, maybe you should go for it. Sorry, I'm no help. If the cost is giving you anxiety though, I'd probably switch to AoA. I'm sure it will be amazing either way

I have called every day too FYI The pin I got this morning INCLUDED AoA. I had already booked everything the way I wanted it Poly / GV / 9 day hoppers / DDP so it was easy for the CM to just apply the pin to the current ressie. As my dd is 11 and ds 14 the dining saved us $2000

Thanks everyone! I think I will be calling each morning. I get up early to check for new offers anyways. I am planning this trip for us plus both sets of parents so I am trying to keep all of them in mind as well. They think I am Kr@Zy for planning so early and so much. Happy to be able to turn here where everyone gets it!

Called today, asked if we had a pin attached to any of our names, and DH had FD pin attached to his name! I am deliriously happy. We do have to arrive by 11/15, though. Darn, 2 extra days in Disney! Actually, I do hate having my kids miss 2 days of school, but I'll get over it. It will save us $2300!!!!!!!!



If only we'd arrived 2 days earlier in 2010.....

So my friend got the free dining email. Her mom called to book it with my friend as a primary person and they couldn't find a code to add. But I don't think she called the phone number attached to the email. It actually had 2 separate phone numbers one for the 30% one for free dining. So I told her to call the number on the email. Also she ended up booking dec 4-11 and is hoping to get a discount because the email one didn't work but I told her she more than likely would not see a discount for those days because of pop Warner. We will see what happens when she calls the correct phone number chances are the will change their dates to get in before pop starts.

There is hope!! I got free dining!! Like everyone else has been, I called to see if there was a pin code attached to my account/name. The CM checked everything including under my DMIL's name and said no, we didn't have any codes. I'd like to think she was pretty thorough. She said to keep trying back. Then I asked if she knew of any FD discounts coming out, and she offered to check. She came back and said there was FD through Nov 15th. She was able to apply the FD code to our reservations!!! She said it was for moderate and deluxe resorts only. We are officially staying at the POR!!

Good luck to everyone who is still hoping for a discount. BTW, I have NEVER received a PIN. Pixie dust to all!!

Did the CM book a general offer for you then that hasn't yet been released or did she end up finding a pin code for you? Also, did you mean that no DP was available for the value resorts (not even QS?) or just that the regular plan wasn't available for the values?

She told me there were no pin codes for my household or my DMIL. We were hanging up and she was saying to keep calling back because they are releasing pins all the time. She put me on hold and came back to say that there was a free dining discount through Nov 15th. She put me on hold again to check to see if I could use it. She came back and said let's try. I asked if she knew if any free dining discounts for November were going to be offered soon and if so could she give me an idea of when they would be released. She put me on hold and came back to say that there was a free dining discount through Nov 15th. She put me on hold again to check to see if I could use it. She came back and said let's try. I "booked"vacations on the Disney site clean up until the end of the most recent FD offer that just expired,and there was plenty availability everywhere-more than I have seen in the last few years.If that is any indication,I'll bet dollars to doughnuts that there will be a late fall GP offer for FD,and I also think Disney would be cutting off their noses to spite their face if they did'nt include the value resorts.FD is the tipping point for our family,and probably for many others as well,so I think it will happen.

Is anyone else waiting on Southwest Airlines to release trips past Nov 2nd? We check every day and are just dying to book our flights, but we want to wait on Southwest to see if we can get a nonstop flight. I hate waiting!
