Is anyone else waiting on Southwest Airlines to release trips past Nov 2nd? We check every day and are just dying to book our flights, but we want to wait on Southwest to see if we can get a nonstop flight. I hate waiting!

Yes, been waiting months! Last time I called the booking window was pushed out till June 4th. Hoping it doesn't go past that. Prices have really dropped for my dates so trying to wait patiently...

Can someone explain to me what it means to call and see if a pin is attached to your name? What do you say when you call? I don't get why a pin would be attached to your name but then they would never notify you about it. How does this pin business work?

I think it's a bit odd too. It's also confusing...

There is hope!! I got free dining!! Like everyone else has been, I called to see if there was a pin code attached to my account/name. The CM checked everything including under my DMIL's name and said no, we didn't have any codes. I'd like to think she was pretty thorough. She said to keep trying back. Then I asked if she knew of any FD discounts coming out, and she offered to check. She came back and said there was FD through Nov 15th. She was able to apply the FD code to our reservations!!! She said it was for moderate and deluxe resorts only. We are officially staying at the POR!!

Good luck to everyone who is still hoping for a discount. BTW, I have NEVER received a PIN. Pixie dust to all!!

Maybe hope isn't lost after all! Have you stayed at POR at that time before. Curious if they have Christmas decorations up yet...I've been to WDW probably 12 times, and never been inside a resort (except to go to Cape May), so I'm super excited!

It is driving me crazy!! We got the 50,000 SW points with the new credit card, and wanting to get that part done!!

Just wanted to share...a friend of mine forwarded me the WDW FD email she received, which as others have stated, the pin was missing.

I called WDW and gave them my current email & home phone # and asked if by chance I had a pin waiting - the answer was no!

I later remembered our first trip after kids (2009) I used an older email and my cell#, and called and gave that info (which is also attached to the same physical address as the first info I gave) I didn't specifically say I wanted to check to see if I had a pin, but decided to use a different approach (and fib a little) by saying I received an email offering free dining (Which I did - from my friend, just not WDW directly) and without hesitation was offered FD...booked at AOA 11/24 - 12/1 and paid to upgrade from quick service to the plus dining.

Moral of the story - don't give up, just get creative - keeping calling until you get someone who will help you!!

Now...I have a 2 bedroom at Hilton SeaWorld I need to rent out b/c I had already booked there but couldn't resist staying on site with free dining

I'm so sad. Since we're going early Nov, we'll miss FD. I'm hoping for a PIN. I'll have to get my MIL to check as well since they'll be with us too. Congrats to everyone who did/will get FD!

I am in the same boat-- going Jersey Week and really can't change the dates, but was hoping for free dining anyway. I did call just to check and had a 20% off pin and we are staying at the Poly so that saved us almost as much as FD! I'm just glad to have *something* during that week!

That's great! Maybe something better will still come along to save you even more money. Don't stop looking.

I have called every day too FYI The pin I got this morning INCLUDED AoA. I had already booked everything the way I wanted it Poly / GV / 9 day hoppers / DDP so it was easy for the CM to just apply the pin to the current ressie. As my dd is 11 and ds 14 the dining saved us $2000

Thats fantastic! I know when we have added free dining in the past it really has saved a ton of money. Five adults for eight or nine nights on the dining plan is not cheap! ($2250.) Getting free dining could have been a make or break deal for a few of our trips.

Don't give up. My guess is they will announce it pretty soon for the public. Until then, keep checking back.

Ok you guys....I just priced the same vacation we have currently booked at WL (standard room, 6 nights, plus dining) at AOA and it would save me over $1300 to switch to there. I could even add deluxe dining and still save almost $1000. I don't know what to do!! It's our first trip and I'm having serious anxiety about the cost but loved the new rooms and feel of WL, that being said, AOA standard rooms will be only 2 mos old when we go. What to do, what to do!

If you plan to spend a lot of time in the parks then I would book AoA. Truth be known I would do it anyway because that's a lot of money to put towards souviners or something else. Since this is your first trip you will be so excited anyway that it won't matter. This is is coming from someone who thinks that deluxe resorts are way over rated though. We love Port Orleans Riverside and find it to be a much better value.


I'm loving this online dining system!! I just made our third day of dining reservations and so far I have been very lucky to get everything we have wanted. I hope the rest of the week goes as smooth.

We are booked for Nov. 8-14th as of this moment. We didn't get that FD Pin email yesterday, but seriously considering sliding our dates back a day to Nov. 9-15th just in case.

Question for you pros... yesterday after I heard about the FD email rumors, I had my TA call and see if there was a PIN on my name. There wasn't. HOWEVER, question is this...there are 11 adults in my party. Although I'm the point of contact, the trip is all on my father's amex with his info. If I called today and there was a PIN attached to his info, could we still apply it to our ressie? How does all that work? Any experts out there??

I called and was lucky enough to get the FD pin! My husband has to travel down a day early to get it, but that is ok. I also got sucked in to upgrade to a moderate resort from a value since we would get the regular dining instead of quick serve. Yep they got me!

So any who, we are going from 11/16 - 11/24 and staying at the POR (DH is staying from 11/15) It is DH and I and my two boys 12 and 13.

So now here's a question for you...since we are travelling on separate days does that mean I can't use the Magical Express?

Just joining in now as I wasn't sure if the trip would happen in June or November. Got the free dining pin, so we are in for Nov 23-30. ADRs on Sunday, little nervous because on our last trip I had 6 months to plan park days and ADRs. I have 3 days.

I am considering MVMCP on the 25th. How crowded do you think that date will be if anyone has experience with it this time of year?
Also, is it reasonable to expect to swim a few days? We have never been this time of year so not sure what to expect.

I was also considering the CP, but not sure if my 4 year old would like it. Has anyone taken small kids to it before?

I am super excited about the trip and am excited to read through the thread to catch up!

I was told that the only person who can make the reservations using a pin is the person it is under. And, last year, my spouse had to call to give the CC info because only her name was on it.
