NOVEMBER 2012 Trip Planners Part 2~yes there IS another!

I need some advice!

Am I making a bad decision not booking the Fantasmic package for November 4th? We will be at DHS only one day this trip and we already have ADR's at SciFi since we had wanted to try it last year but ended up skipping it b/c there wasn't enough time. Also, the menu at MM doesn't seem too appealing to us. Would it be that difficult to get into Fantasmic without the package?

I remember last year at the end of the August, DS and I were able to go in about 30 minutes before the show and they were just letting people in without having to stand in line.

So is the beginning of November that busy that we will miss Fantasmic if we don't have the pass?

I'm torn on this and would appreciate your opinions!

I honestly think you will be fine if you get there early, but I have never been that week. We have always been able to get in without a problem at other times, even Star Wars Weekend.

We are going the week of Thanksgiving and I am not going to stress about it at all. We will be there early and wait in line. I dont think the week you are going will be so busy that you would have a problem.

We plan to eat a good lunch and pick up CS for dinner so we wont be rushed.

My friend who hasn't visited WDW in 5 years received a pin through email...my family has visited the last 3 years, I called and didn't have ANY pins or PROMOS attached

Why is WDW punishing the people who visit more often ????

I have reservations off-site through a timeshare that I can't cancel or get my $$ back but I'd be sooo willing to take the loss if I could stay on site with FD!!!

Seen where people was calling to see if they had a pin code from Disney
So I called and had a pin code for free dining for the dates I wanted
I am officially booked now with a savings of 1443.12 for my family of 4

I called today to check on pins attached to my name and there's nothing. The CM said that some were released on May 22nd, but there isn't going to be anything else until June. I'll keep watching!

I don't really know how much of an advantage the dinner package is - I have read that the seating isn't much better and you still need to get there in advance. In fairness, I haven't ever done the Fantasmic dining, so I could be wrong. I know there are people who like it, and I'm sure they can weigh in with the advantages.

If there are second shows during your stay, you can get into those easily without the package.

With that being said, feel free to completely disregard my opinion! We actually don't build Fantasmic in to our schedule at all. Instead, we try to avoid HS on Fantasmic days. We weren't overly impressed with the show, and didn't feel it was worth the hassle of seeing it and the extra crowds it brings to the parks.

yes I am having a temper tantrum I just could use the extra money the dining plan would save me. I will glued to the DIS for a while too....

I don't think they are punishing those of us that go more often. (They know we are gonna keep coming back. ) But they want to lure people back that haven't been in a while. Maybe turn them into regulars.

So I went with POR so we could have the DDP
Called Hubby at work and he is so happy for the $$$ saved

Very upset with Disney...

Last night I called and was told my MIL had a dining pin. But, because I wasn't her, I couldn't book. The girl said it had to be MIL or TA. My TA called twice today and was told there is NO Pin for us or MIL.

I hate you so much, but love you too much more, Disney

Just for a FD PIN via email (my husbands email) It said "Get a First look at a Tasty Fall offer"....think this means it's coming for everyone? The dates were: 9/30 -10/4; 10/19-11/1; 11/9-11/15; 11/23-11/29; 12/10-12/13.

Question...im booked for 11/25-12/1, if a public FD is offered with the dates corresponding to mistybroussard's pin does that mean I would get FD for 11/25-11/29 portion of our trip or would I need to match the exact dates (11/23-11/29 in her example)?

I randomly got a stay! play! dine! pin after booking with my original 20% off pin.

As long as your check-in day is in the valid dates you will get FD for the entire reservation. Does that make sense?
