November 17, 2011 Bahama Dream Cruise

Hi everyone!

I am so glad I found this thread. I'm a newbie and have no idea what to expect. I will be experiencing this trip with my then husband as this is our honeymoon. We are so excited! He's never been on a plane and we both have never been on a cruise so this will all be an exciting experience to share together. I hope November gets here soon!

Here is the FE list so far..I will update list every time I get more families! I am NOT including the stateroom numbers at this time for safety issues, the final list will be emailed to everybody when its closed and the stateroom numbers will be on it then! This will also be located in my signature!

Back from the repo and 1st Alaskan, so it is time to get excited about this cruise! Looking forward to being on the Dream (and the relatively short drive to the port as opposed to flying...our trip home was not.fun.).

We're GTY, so no idea of stateroom. Hoping for a FL resident rate and possibly an upgrade? We don't often get pixie dust b/c we're usually in a cat. 4, but on this one I booked an inside room. I'd actually like to try the virtual porthole, but wouldn't turn down a real view!

We are also on the Nov. 17th sailing of the Dream! It will be our first Dream cruise, #10 Disney Cruise which pushes us up to the Platinum level. We have participated in the fish extenders too so please add us to your list! This is such a fun activity for all!:)

Im going on the cruise Nov 17th and I just cant wait. What is this fish hook thing everyone is talking about. Is it something I need to worry about. Please write back soon as I am exited.

Just kidding about the fish hooks, I know what they r as we were on the Wonder last year. this will be our second cruise. Hi Hannah!:thumbsup2

I have a question or two about single parent cruising. My DD (12) and I will be on DCL B2B cruises on Nov. 17th and 20th this year. We have done 2 Disney cruises before, one of them being just the two of us. I'm not sure if DCL plans for this, but we lucked into being dinner mates with 3 other single parents and their daughters (all around the same age). It definitely made for an even more enjoyable cruise, as the 8 of us occasionally met up for some onboard events. So, does anyone know if DCL may do this automatically, or could I call and put this request in if I choose? Also, if there's anybody going on this cruise with some single parent cruising tips, feel free to share! Happy cruising everyone!!! :yay:

I'm a single mom to my DD(5). I don't think you'd want to sit with us, lol! I do think DCL tries to create dining situations that are complimentary (like not seating honeymooning couples with families with 5 kids!). I'm sure you can put a request on there for how you would like to be seated, just like you can request to be at a table with just your family. Don't see why not.

Hello Albidress! Mike told me your mom and brother have decided to go as well, that should be fun! Did you all decide to particapte in the FE again? If so, I'll need stateroom numbers, names of people in cabin and ages of the 3 kiddos..Have you talked to Jennifer about doing it as well? Mike also mentioned dinner some time, just let us know cause Jennifer is in too!

Sorry, Havent checked the board in awhile. happytv:: I dont know if we r goin to do fish hooks this time or not. confused3 We would have to cary all that stuff on the plane.
When r we doin dinner?::yay:

Haven't been on in a while. Getting ready for Alaska. :cool1:
It looks like there are several of us doing the B2B!! I will have a different cabin for the last leg. First leg is just my best friend and I and second leg will be with my family. Got both legs all on DVC points. I had points I had to use up by the end of the year. What better way than on a cruise.
I have never done a B2B. Have any of you? If so, what's the procedure disembarking and getting back on?

Everyone have a wonderful 4th.

Hope you have a great time on the Alaskan cruise! We did the repo/first Alaskan and had a blast!

I keep hoping to see my cabin assignment show up soon. Since we're Gold, we can book in early August but I'm honestly not sure I plan to book anything, lol. Probably just enjoy the ship, try the new restaurants, that kind of thing. We are celebrating my daughter's Forever Family day, so I don't want to do Palo or Remy and be without her. Maybe a facial or something, but really just plan to check out the new ship! Hope we have good weather that time of year. Should be quite comfortable.

It's hard to believe that this cruise is only FOUR months away!!! I remember booking this about a year ago, and telling my nieces that the time was going to fly...and it HAS!!!

The girls have never seen clear, turquoise ocean water before (only in photos), so I'm very excited to see the looks on their faces when we dock at Castaway Cay!

Hope all of you are enjoying your summer!

Hi everyone!!!

I am also on the November 17 cruise as well. This will be me my honeymoon and I cannot wait. This will the first cruise for both my fiance and I and I do not know what to expect. I just want the date to get here already!

I've read about the FE stuff and I'd like to be added to the list. How do I do that?

Thanks! :)

Thanks! I'm still new to the forum and I am not allowed to PM yet. I hate to give our info out in the open. I'll try to post a little bit more so I can finally send a PM.

Since we're Gold CC members, I did online check-in yesterday. Got the 11-11:30 port arrival time, which was the only thing I was really interested in. We're staying on the ship in Nassau and don't want to do Palo or Remy, and we plan to just play it by ear with whatever spa specials might be offered. It was exciting to be checking-in! Seems more real once I put in my credit card info!

Starchild, congrats and welcome! My brother and his then-wife are honeymooning on the Oct. 9 Dream, followed by a visit to the World. They're really excited.

I just gave up Main Dining for Second Dining. I hope someone that needs early benefits from this choice. :)

See you in 101 Days!!
