November 12, 2011 - Magical Double Dip!

If the scale is going down - it's good. If the scale is holding steady - it's good. If the scale is going up - it's frustrating - maddening -infuriating!

I lost 55 pounds from March 2009 - March 2010. Since then - NOTHING. DEspite working out, self discipline, gazillions of veggies - down 2 up 1 down 1 up 2 - net loss? NADA. ZIP.

So CELEBRATE your losses, ladies! May they continue and prosper!

Thanks everyone! Info on us: We are the Cassabria's from NJ. We are Stephanie-29, Steve-31, Sophia-10, and Nico-4. Nico has been going through treatment for the last 14 months for stage 5 High risk Nueroblastoma. This is our first cruise (of any kind) but we go to Disney World at least every other year. Nico was diagnosed August 1, 2010 and we had to cancel our Disney trip that was scheduled for 2 weeks after. Nico is now NED (no evidence of disease) and looks forward to being able to swim!

Switched out everyones winter/summer clothes today and had the suitcases handy next to me! Have a great trip everyone!

:welcome::welcome: I am Evelyn and this is my second Disney Magic cruise. I did the Trans Atlantic and what a BLAST :mickeyjum:goofy::donald: Keep your camera ready at all times. You just never know who will be around the corner. Oh Yes, you MUST order Mickey Bars from room service :mickeybar:mickeybar, they will deliver at no cost, just give them a tip. If nothing sounds good for dessert ( can't believe I am even saying this) your server just might be able to find one for dinner.

You are going to have such a wonderful time and I know Nico and Sophia will never forget this trip. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

My answers are in RED

1. Where are you coming from? NJ

2. What 'odd' thing are you bringing with you? (other than spouses & kids) don't know if it's odd, but Shout Color Catchers & Downy Wrinkle Release

3. would you be upset if our sailing was changed to an Eastern due to weather? as long as it's not rocky I don't care where we go

4. What seating is everyone in for dinner? there's 9 of us at the early seating as my kiddos are 7 and 4 -- we do dinner, jammies, shows and bed

5. Palo Reservations? For when? Nope. Last time we ded Palo we weren't that impressed...we really enjoy the core restaurants and being with our kids

6. Who are your favorite Characters? (besides from your family members) Mickey and Minnie -- they're iconic

7. Are you dressing up for pirate night?????? No. I wish I had that in me, but I'm just not comfortable with it.

8. What's your favorite thing to do onboard the ship as a family or by yourselves?? (by myself at the pool with music and a good book or just watching my kiddos faces when the experience something new)
9. Kindle, Nook, or real books? I do both a Nook and real books -- for this vacation I'll probably bring just my book since I know I wont spend harldly any time by myself ---

Today's question. Everyone looks forward to the first day lunch buffet. What will be on YOUR plate?[/B] i am in LOVE with the asian wraps they have at topsiders and the tacos -- don't know if they'll be available the first day but i'll be on the hunt for them :)

Today's question. Everyone looks forward to the first day lunch buffet. What will be on YOUR plate?

My answer is - tons of salad, a mountain of peel & eat shrimp, pickled mushrooms. And I'll go back for at least 3 desserts - one of which will be a chocolate chip cookie and one will be the hot "dessert of the day" with appropriate sauce. :) :)

Hmmm I will likely have a little bit of everything, I love to try it all!!!!:thumbsup2 But I know one thing I definitely want is a taco from Pluto's;)

pirate: We are dressing up for pirate night! pirate: Going all out. In fact, I just got back from the store today with the costumes (50% off day after Halloween!)

Do you wear your costume to dinner, or do you go back and change?:confused3

We always wear our pirate gear to dinner, it's a blast!pirate:

Good Morning, Happy Cruisers!

Today's FIRST question (In the event someone else has something burning on their minds)

IS anyone celebrating something on this cruise - birthday - anniversary - new job - retirement? What's the celebration and what's the happy day?

Please keep our cruisemate, Eilean, in your prayers. She has been without power since Saturday night.

Off to the gym, doc, run errands.

Hope your day is FAB U LOUS!

:cheer2:

Good job firefly! Btw were you on this cruise last year your login sounds familiar? Officered- definitely wear the pirate costume to dinner photographers come around to the tables at dinner. One of my favorite pics is of my ds with his sword at my throat snarling! pirate:

Hi all.....going to the Doctor at noon to get this out of my system before sailing......

One of party, Lynne, will be turning 50 in December so we are celebrating her 50th on the cruise. I don't think she realizes it yet....:goodvibes

Everyone has been so helpful, thanks so much! I definately would love to walk.
I have a question. Since we just got our reservation number I went to make reservations for things. A couple of things were booked that we wanted to do, for example Sophia wanted to go jet skiing and I wanted to go to Palo for tea. My question is, is there a waiting list that I can get on in case there is a cancellation?
Also is anyone scuba diving in Grand Cayman?

We will be celebrating our 2 year mark of having our daughter join our family. :thumbsup2

2 years ago in China, on a cold November day, we received the most wonderful little 2 year old we could have asked for!
:dance3::banana::yay:

They don't really make a cake or card for that though, :lmao:

If you go to a beach in Cozumel, very often they have jet skis to rent there. You can also check at the tour desk on board - there may be some available at one of the castaway cay stops - (one of the parents will have to go with her.)

When you get on the ship, go to Rockin Bar D - there will be a Palo person there to help you. If that doesn't work out for you, call Palo on the first day and explain your situation. The difficulty is - with only two sea days, there are only 2 seatings for tea, and it's popular. My fingers will be crossed for you.

If it will only be you wanting to go to High Tea, maybe someone who has a reservation would see if they could add you to theirs. Otherwise, I believe that someone from Palo will be in "Rockin Bar D" when you get on the ship to take "wait list" names, also I believe you can call Palo from your room to "wait list". I have not done this but I have heard you can do it this way. Hope it helps :thumbsup2

Congratulations! Hope you have a magical romantic trip.

I notice that quite a few of you celebrating milestones aren't actually on the FE list . . . if you want pixie dust to fall on you, you need to let "grandma Linda" know your stateroom number - just sayin'. :wizard:
