November 12, 2011 - Magical Double Dip!

Thanks everyone! Info on us: We are the Cassabria's from NJ. We are Stephanie-29, Steve-31, Sophia-10, and Nico-4. Nico has been going through treatment for the last 14 months for stage 5 High risk Nueroblastoma. This is our first cruise (of any kind) but we go to Disney World at least every other year. Nico was diagnosed August 1, 2010 and we had to cancel our Disney trip that was scheduled for 2 weeks after. Nico is now NED (no evidence of disease) and looks forward to being able to swim!

Switched out everyones winter/summer clothes today and had the suitcases handy next to me! Have a great trip everyone!

We could almost scoop you up on the way bay, Stephanie! We usually go right down the Garden State.

TG for NED. MAY it stay that way now and forever!

We have 5 kids in our party - Jorge 9, Janna & Peyton 6, Jayda & Valaria 5?maybe one is still 4? I get confused. Anyway, we're going to try to get them all to the 3 pm meet and greet in the Promenade lounge.

If you've got any questions, fire them on out here!

We're SO glad you're aboard!

Only 1 week and 4 days until we leave!!! :thumbsup2:cool1:

I'm happy to hear "Nico" is doing well. I work for a Children's Hospital and it brings great pleasure to me to hear it!

What is Nico's favorite Disney character?

Happy Monday...... And happy Halloween! What are all you kiddies dressing up as tonight? Dd is a vampire and ds is a dinosaur. Nico's story touched our hearts and can't wait to meet him. My son is 5 and we have alot of kids on that age group on this thread so hopefully we can get lots of peeps for Nico.

I don't know how to post pics but if you all do I'd love to see some Halloween pics!:wizard:

GOOD Morning, Happy Cruisers!

We are the BAUMAN's from SICKLERVILLE, NJ --- litterally around the corner! I am Wendy, DH (David-51), DS (Hunter, 7), and DD (ShelbyRae, 4). Can't wait to meet you! Will you be coming to the meet and greet?
:cool1:

Please pardon me if I am posting this in the wrong section...my hubby (RESCUETINK) generally does all the posting and question asking, but as this trip is gaining on us, I'm going into full blown "mom" mode (gotta have it all done right now).

So that being said, is it expected that the FE gifts are for each individual in each family, or just a family treat? I've done one very simple gift for each stateroom, but now wonder if I'm needing to do more...
Anyone's feedback would be appreciated!

HUGS -- can't wait to meet you all!

Good Morning cruisers!!
Only 12 more days til sailing!!

To catch up from over the weekend....My favorite character is Grumpy (still hoping he will show up onboard one of these times...:goodvibes

And yes, we are kind of dressing up for Pirate night. I made shirts for all of us to wear and some of us have the pirate Mickey ears that we aquired on our first Disney Chix land/cruise from a great CM in Disney!

Welcome Cassabria's!! It is good to have you all aboard!

Today's question is .... What's your favorite thing to do onboard the ship as a family or by yourselves?? Some of our party just likes to lounge by the pool ALL DAY....as a pale face I can only do that for so long. I love the Towel Folding Course that they do....It was ony a half hour but it was fun!! And after the show before dinner, we like to explore the lounges!

:worship:LindaBabe you are such a wealth of information! Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!!

Ayuh. I'm "full of it" :rotfl2: (That's what happens when you're old, you know.)

Hello, RescueTinks DW! People pretty much do what they feel like - or have the time and resources to do. One is good. Lots are good. Whatever. SOME overachievers give one thing per person - that would not be me.:lmao:

Depends. Depends on the cruise. . . Depends on what's offered. . . Depends on the company. . .

On the transatlantic, my hands down favorite things were the drawing classes offered by a Disney Animator, but that was a one time only thing - they're not on most cruises. Followed a close second by Dining with friends at Table 23. Followed by the wonderful spa treatment.

7dwarfsfanNY the tee shirts sound adorable! Redcuetink dw- I hear you loud and clear about the mom fog! I had outfits coordinated in sept! I am just doing one gift per family this year because last year my fe stuff took up an entire carry on bag!:laundy:

My favorite thing to do on the ship is lay by the pool and read!:cool2:

Have a Nook and hate it(except it is more convenient for work/commuting). I like REAL books and have taken out as many as 29 at a time from the library!:cloud9:

How about an afternoon question

- Do you read your "books" on a nook or kindle, or do your read what the old lady calls "real" books?

Just ordered a Kindle Touch but won't have it until after the vacation. Normally like reading paper, and keep my favorite books in that form.

And who the heck is this new guy with only one post? Scary enough, I didn't even know I had an account here, but apparently I signed up 3 years ago.

Anyways, this is part of a vacation for me and the girlfriend traveling with my brother and his wife. No offense, but not really looking to meet up with anyone, but do thank you for the additional information I have gleaned from this forum.

Long time Disney fan with 30+ visits to Disney World/Disneyland (some a month at a time), plus a 3-day Disney cruise back in 2004. Looking forward to the full 7-nighter with time at Disney on both front and backside.

I have a Kindle which I am growing quite used to but I do still love my books. Bringing both on the cruise with me. One of the other girls from our group has a Nook but is terrified of dropping it in the pool as her kids just gave it to her for her Birthday!

So....on a different note....it is 3:45 here at work :surfweb:and we've decided that we've had enough work for the day so we are all waiting for the Great Pumpkin!:yay::yay::rotfl:
