fear factor, i can get 50,000 for a weekend but the other show,I must stay on for a whole season? . On fearfactor, I only have about 5 people that I must beat but the other one has how many people?

5. Drinkable Florida Wine - Nope - E-mailed the one store I know, and do not wish to invest in a case.

6. Formal wear - Almost check - taking a break from hemming the gown....and hemming, and hemming and hemming.

7. Refresher dive #1 - Check - #2 - next weekend.

8. Reservations - check.

9. Cancel car on St. Thomas - oops....

10. Make packing list - nope - any suggestions?????

hopefully i will get something accomplished this weekend-dh and kids are going to his mom's for the night. i know i need to do a ton of laundry, clean the house, return the videos, oh-and i better go mail of my "jam exchange" from the community board!

windy here today (but clear)-i hate it, sets my nerves on edge!

"drinkable wine"? oh c#@*, here i was just going to grab some stuff at the 98 cent store in napa (still tech. "napa valley wine")

"formal wear" :guilty...don't want to think about this. dh has received new tux we ordered, but i have to go out to the garage one of these days and start digging through plastic tubs with majority of my clothes in them (we got new carpet LAST october, needed the master closet to put stuff into-so most of my clothes were put into plastic bins that have never made their way back into the house).

"packing list"-remember to put bc's or passports aside NOW (too many posts on cruise board with people waiting till the last minute and not being able to find them ).

Believe it or not, we felt a punch. Yesterday a.m. the gulf had already washed over portions of our road. It was still passable, but you had to drive in the middle of the road (road's highest point). The beach had seen a significant impact and it wasn't even high tide. The electricity was on and off - Thankfully more on! Last night the winds were roaring. DH & I awoke around 1:30 and thought the storm had turned more eastward. I quickly turned on the t.v. and saw it was about to make landfall on the TX/LA line. I was dumbfounded at the sustained winds here (45-50mph.). We were so far from the eye, until it made me feel ill for those who were in the thick of it. The winds have slowed now to gusts averaging around 30 mph with steady winds at 15-20mph. The size of these storms just astounishes me.

Glad all is relatively well for you, STB on the Beach! Those storms are absolutley crazy and there are still more out there lurking...there will undoubetly be a few more "big" ones before we sail!


I have to admit that I am starting to make physical "lists", as it is almost Oct 1st!

I have always had in the back of my mind...." when I start seeing Fall merchadise in the stores and feel like it's Fall, I will know the DCL trip is just around the corner!"

Just the the other day a fellow (travel) nurse said that her contract with our hospital is ending Nov. 12th, and I about starting jumping around the room just hearing someone mention that date! Am I sick in the head!?

I said...."ooooohhhhh! You can say that date over and over to me and tell me it's coming up SOON, 'cause I'll be sailing in the Caribbean MANY, MANY miles from here!"

On November 1st after the Halloween craziness, I will REALLY START FREAKING OUT! Probably not sleeping much, probably not eating much, probably dreaming alot, and probably fussing a lot to my DH about lots of odds and ends......house, cat, $$$, clothes, lists, etc.

P.S. Chip and Dale and Fun....I promise the Oregon info is coming your way....I already have it printed out ('cause I am such a computer idiot!) and I will transcribe it to you soon! Yup, even though you so graciously TOLD me how to do it, I will post it the old fashioned way.

stb on the beach-hang in there! you realy deserve this vacation after all thats been happening down your way! we look so forward to meeting you in person!

disnurse-i know how you feel, i've just begun noticing how it's getting dark earlier each night-fall is def. approaching (though not fast enuf for me!). the stores here had christmas stuff in them (along side the halloween) at the end of august so it was'nt much of an indicator-but now that the local "pumpkin patches" are opening up i know we are getting close

chip&dale&fun-dh starts refresher dives next weekend. he nearly keeled over in shock this week when he went to a couple of dive stores and found that new fins would run more than the excursions you've booked! he decided to just take his old ones, and maybe check out prices in florida. p.s. i am so jealous of your organizational skills! i used to be the queen of organization, but when i had my strokes it seems i lost interest in retaining my crown now i have list(s), but it seems so much of it gets put off until the last minute!

i can't believe we are entering the last week of september! once october 1st hits it will seem like we are in the home stretch! with all the halloween anticipation (on the kid's part) the month will fly by and then we will just be days away from departure! hang on everyone-it's approaching fast

Happy Sunday all....

Sorry to hear about the winds on the beach, but hope that there was no damage this morning.....It seems at least the heavy evacuation saved lives, not property, but lives in TX and LA.

We are taking Mother to a special dinner to celebrate her "green card". She has been in the USA since seh married my father after WWII....The tribulations will go much better over a cold one on the Magic -- remind me -- we can now (Notice of Intent to Deny earlier this summer was not!)

Barkley and Barkley DH - yes, Sam is also looking at new fins, why we just bought fins.....not good enough??? Come on now.....

Anyway - I cannot wait either for November to get here....

Must make another list - this weekend was successful.....guess it helps to be stuck inside....taking formal wear over to Mother's for her approval....
