Good Morning - Pray for those in the path of Rita..

Disnurse - I just saw the evacuation of the premies in Houston.....at least they will be safe.


On a calmer morning on Galveston Beach when we were camping in 1999!

C & D & F.....I was thinking about the premies this am when I saw nothing but gridlock on the freeways....wondering if and when the NICU babies would have to be airlifted out of Houston. Just because of the stress and relocation alone, I am sure there will be hundreds of pre-tern births as a result of this and further complicate neonatal services available in that area. We just a month ago had an RN of ours leave Bend for the Houston area.....works at one of those major children's centers down there. I am sure she is in the thick of things.

Barkley.....we love light milk chocolate!

Also, tell your DH (or I will too) that having tonsils and uvula out isn't what it used to be. They are so much better at it now! Less pain and swelling afterwards but still not a fun time. Remember, things in your mouth (any oral tissue) heals soooooo much faster than anywhere else in your body. Just make sure you get a good anesthesiologist.....a bad one will make him too doped up and thus nauseated post-op and be at risk of throwing up that first 24 hours afterwards which is usaully the only bummer. Aren't nurses graphic? My family can't stand me at the dinner table sometimes.

I still don't know about our chances of getting on Captain Nautica...but if we do, you should join us! It is half day (1 p.m. ish) and therefore you and the kids can enjoy the am with the ship practically empty! Read up on it...iit gets fabulous reviews and is great snorkeling! I don't even know what our kids are going to think of snorkeling. I can imagine they will have fun just putting their faces in the water with just the mask on! That might be easier for them to get gradually introduced to it.

So does anyone have any good guesses as to how many posts we will actaully reach before we all go "off line" and "on board"?

disnurse-i will pass the info on to dh. i just remember having my tonsils out as a little kid and then crying to my mom "you said i would'nt have any more sore throats-my throat hurts worse now" . i also did'nt give a hoot about the ice cream and popcicles she had stocked up on (though my older brothers were). i will look at capt. nauticas and see what it's like-it may be a good option for us (still no word for you on the age issue?).

i too will be interested to see how many posts we end up with by cruise day (although with awoltoday off the boards for over a week we may not see quite so many i'm going to miss seeing his "smiling face"

i too am thinking of those enduring the terrible weather conditions-it just amazes me the way they are hitting, one after another! for our part, lets hope mother nature gets it out of her system well before our departure.

What the heck is a fishmonger though?????? I assume it has something to do with fish...... I feel stupid for asking but when I tried to google it I just came up with various restaurants with that name! Just wondering what that Lydia woman does!!!!

Yeah! I am safe tonight.....as Morgan was not "on my list" for the jury or top two...she was a nobody IMHO! Just that much closer to the $$$$ jack pot at the end!

Oh,BTW.....awoltoday...if you so closely resemble your DIS board photo, I will have no trouble finding you at the terminal. Don't even bother wearing that silly wristband.....alll we will have to do is look over at Donald and Goofy by the cafe and see and hear all of the children screaming for their parents to rescue them! Undoubtely, you will be filling your spare time scaring the kids and setting the CM's straight on "WHO'S BOSS!"

Didn't see the show, but from my British heritage and novels, a fishmonger was one who sold fish - you know - the butcher, the baker, the candlestick maker, the fishmonger.....
