So I tried calling and the code won't work for me as I'm going during Thanksgiving week.. but I seriously doubt there will be ANY discounts for that week :(
 
The GX8 code just worked for me and saved us over $400! We had to move our arrival day back one day to Nov. 27th instead of the 26th. We now have 11/27 to 12/3 with dining plan and tickets at POFQ. She said the code was good through Dec. 17 if that helps anyone. She actually told me there was nothing left at POFQ but I told her nevermind bc we wanted refurbished rooms and she put me on hold to call Guest Services and came back and said they applied the code and were able to keep our room at POFQ. The only other discount that would work better for us would be FD so still keeping my fingers crossed but this was a nice bonus!

We initially only had room and tickets but in order to use that code, had to add the dining plan. We were going to add it anyways but without the code after we added the DP our price was about $2890 and then after the code our total was $2415.

When reading this thread, it seemed like there was confusion about that. Some CMs added it and others said it was BB only. I can assure you that I was not on Disney property last night at 9:30 when I called and tried to add it (don't I wish!!!). I just said I wanted to see if a code was valid for our trip and she said it was but we had to arrive one day later and add the dining plan. I figured I would try in case it worked and it did. The worst they can say is no...I would go ahead and try!
 
I called this am as well, just to see what would happen. The CM had no problem with the code (i asked about GX8) - never mentioned bounceback. But for our trip it didn't help much. We are booked for 9 nights @ ASMu family suite and she couldn't use the code there. She could have changed our reservation to 2 rooms, but it was only going to save us $225, since most nights of our vaca are blacked out (Nov 19-28, I think the 20th-27th seems to be blacked out) so I just decided to keep what we have.

I am still holding out hope for something else that might work for us. If not, no biggie!
 
We have a music suite booked for early/mid November. Are you saying that the GX code will not work for the music suite, or were you just saying that it did not apply to the time-frame you were looking at?
 
I am booked for 10/31 - 11/13. My trip is paid for ( thanks DH! ). I have never used a code before, not sure how to use it. :confused3 Do i just call and ask the CM to apply the " GX8 " to my account and hope it works?

I don't know for sure if it isn't applicable for the suite at all or that there were no suites available for that offer during the time my stay. I do know that there were nights blacked out during tgiving week regardless of the resort.
 
hoping for deluxe resorts with club here. I called and my code was valid but the room type/resort i wanted wasn't available =|

When I was having it applied to our trip, I asked her if it would work for Pop Century and she said it wasn't valid for Value Resorts.

I just phoned about the DY9 code. My family is visiting Nov. 10-19. I was told you have to be current guest to have access to the code. :confused3 It seems to depend on who you speak to whether to get discounts or not.

I was also told to keep my ears and eyes open as Disney has not released fall discounts yet. When I tried to probe the CM for information she said she had no idea what codes would be available.

For now DH and I are keeping our eyes and ears open.

I have been keeping my eyes and ears open but still have not found any discounts yet. I dont want to book my vacation without knowing. Does anyone have a "best guess" date for when and if they will tell us if they will extend the free dining plan? :rolleyes1

Based on past experience...I would say it will be sometime in July. The fall discounts used to not release until mid-August, but the last few years moved a little earlier. They seem to be sticking with the earlier dates for most discounts.

I would bet money there will be a public discount of some sort for most of Oct-Nov. Whether it will be free dining or not is a big question mark.

I called yesterday after seeing this post and the CM transferred me to another CM who told me that it was a bounce back offer that would still be there when I go the first week after Thanksgiving. She told me to ask about it again then and I could get the bounce back offer at that point. :confused3
 
We are booked for Nov. 18-Nov. 23 (ASMovies, 5 day base tix, deluxe dining).When you guys say "blacked out" do you mean that it is sold out or that there are never, ever special offers available for those dates? I'm considering moving the trip up to September so that I can use the free dining special that's available right now. I'm getting a little nervous b/c there is a significant price difference b/w the two months, and I'm not sure if I want to chance it by hoping for a Thanksgiving special.
 
Thank you. I hope they are going to extend the free dining. Even though the dining plan isnt what it use to be, it's still work it. I will keep checking. :)
