Not-So-Scary Eat & Drink Until We Drop PTR...TR link pg.9!

I can't believe you would run out of pix. Love Isis in her piggy costume. Princess will wear a sweater but that's it. I want to get her boots cause she goes outside and gets her feet wet. We have to keep a towel by the back door to dry them off. She either needs to learn to dry her own feet or get booties. She is going to be 8 in Nov. We had to put our Lahso to sleep almost 5 years ago. That is when I had to sell my house and move. I couldn't stand it without my Max. He was 18. Princess (or as we call her Princ-ss with a different vowel) was 4 months old when we got her. She is really Princess 2 because we had Princess 1 when the girls were small.

Here is a pic if you missed it on my TR.

I know what I will do! You guys can help me decide what to wear to the 2 "nice" dinners we have planned. I will take photos of some dresses this weekend. I have to admit- I am a bit worried about our LTT ADR- I had a message to call Disney Dining about it. I have a bad feeling. :sad2:
Can I ask a dumb question? What's the deal w/ the green Home Depot Mickey heads??
Now, your Christmas pics are making it even easier for me to chose that week after Thanksgiving! :santa:
Picking out dresses that sounds like a lot of fun :yay:!!!

the mickey heads!?!
the Mickey Head of the dis members is a lime green Mickey head! Well, Home Depot has mickey head paint sample cards that dis members use to make countdown calendars. but, dis members make signs for bags, stollers, door decorations, t-shirts and so on to show they are a member of the disboards! so , we can find one another! :yay:

Well, darn it! I am just going to have to make a stop at Home Depot this weekend!! ;)

I did see that pic- Princess is adorable!!! You definitely have to post more when you can. :) I tried to get Isis boots to wear for when it is icy/snowy here & she tried to stand without her feet touching the ground!! :lmao: She looked like one of those little lizards that stand on only 2 legs at a time because the sand is so hot. I also got her a raincoat, but when I took her out in it, she looked at me like- "are you SERIOUS?":rotfl: She would not do her business until I took her coat off!

Losing a dog is an awful thing- I hate to even think about losing Isis, but I do think about how I will survive that. She has been there with me through the hardest years of my life.

I love her rain gear. So cute. Daughter Sandi has a friend who's dog lets her dress her all the time. She's so cute. She is always sending me pictures. I will post the football game tonite then Sunday evening when we get home from the reunion I am going to finish DHS.

Have a great day

Some of Isis's travels:
This was taken somewhere in British Columbia- forgive me for not remembering. It was a long, stressful ride home from Alaska with my poor, sick puppy! They took her away from her mother too soon, so she was dehydrated (they already had her eating puppy chow). We ended up having to stop at the Town physician in a small town in BC because we couldn't find a vet! They were very nice & took good care of us. Isis was better in no time! In fact, she was a Holy Terror!!! I apologize in advance for some of the awful photos of myself from 10 years ago.

We took a detour through the Southwest & my car had no air conditioning. Isis was whining, so we bought her bags of ice to sleep on.

My mom's silly 120 pound Lab:

GRacie.jpg

She is very sweet, but VERY food motivated!!! She is allergic to everything & is on medication that makes her constantly hungry. Poor Gracie!
Next is Lady- though we always called her "Little Dog". My mom picked her up in the dead of winter from my Aunt's street. An older woman owned her & when she passed away, her family emptied her house & threw her dog out on the street. We took her in & it took her about 2 weeks to wag her tail. She was pretty timid, but VERY happy after a short time. She was a wonderful dog. At age 18, my mom put her outside on a leash, went to do something for less than 5 minutes, but the leash broke & Little Dog had wandered away. She was so senile at that point, that she couldn't have known what she was doing. My mom was beside herself & still blames herself. There were sightings in the city, but we never found her. My mom spent 3 months driving around every night until midnight or later, just looking for Little Dog. There was even a column in the Worcester newspaper about her.

We had Daisy (another yellow lab) from 1986- 2002. She was a really great dog. She was such a picky eater that at one point we had to feed her chicken every single night!

Before Daisy was Hampton. I know we had her from before I was born (1975) until 1986. She slept in my bedroom every night. I was 12 when she died & just devastated.

Then there was Princess, my mom's dog before I was born. She was poisoned by a nut job lady in the neighborhood who poisoned the entire neighborhood's dogs. My Dad & Uncle shot the lady's windows out with a shotgun. The 70's were definitely different times. Princess was only 6 when she died.

Ok, I've tormented everyone with enough sob stories for the day! Sorry for the random post!

I can't wait to read more of your TR! I'm headed over there right now. :)

Isis is pretty well traveled dog...you go Isis! :woohoo:

(I can't bear it when people abuse animals..:sad2:..I abhor cruelty of any kind...and with dogs...it's just so sad...since they are pack animals all they want is to be with their owner...to abuse them is such a breach of trust...sigh...time to go find Macintosh (that's my dog's name) and pet him...

I love my dog too. Even though I call her names. Never so she can hear me.

Well, I enjoyed meeting your dogs...even sharing the sad stories...
wow what a road trip Isis had on her first adventure! the ice bag is just tooo cute!

I am home from the 'reunion'. So happy to say it was good this time. Made it nice for everyone and there was a good turnout. I really am going to finish my DHS this week. I was going to do it last night but couldn't stay awake. Maybe tonite will be better. Have a great day.

Ginny

I should have something better to post tomorrow- Isis was sick Sunday night & I was up all night worried- and taking her outside because she wanted to eat grass. Last night she had white rice for dinner & it seemed to have helped. Needless to say, I was exhausted yesterday & useless at work. Today I will be playing catch-up! I hope everyone has a good day. :goodvibes

Hope you have a good day today April. And hope Isis is much improved tonight. We had a dog one time that all she could eat was white rice. I learned about minute rice real fast. It is hard to have your puppy ill.

I'm here, and love the pictures of Isis! (Sleeping on the bag of ice? Genius!)

Awww, thanks for sharing the dog pictures and stories.

Can't wait for more of your TR! popcorn::

Sorry I have been MIA. I had to stay home with Isis yesterday. She has finally been keeping food down- the vet gave us a pill for her and I have been mixing it with pureed chicken soup. She can only eat a couple of tablespoons at a time, but at least she has gotten a bit of an appetite back! I knew it was bad on Tuesday night when she wasn't begging John while he was eating!! This is her yesterday:
Photo_091609_002-1.jpg

I hate feeling so helpless. I am SO wiped out- I am hoping to recover a little this weekend. Well, we have another appointment tomorrow at the vet. If I can get online, I definitely will fill you in. I miss you guys!!

Poor baby. Did the vet say exactly what was wrong? Our princess got really sick this past spring. She had hook worms. Throwing up, diarehha for 5 days. She got them from our garden. Don had gone and picked up some manure somewhere and she dug all thru it. Once he plants and covers it with straw she doesn't touch it. But she loves to dig thru the dirt.

Have a good day despite Isis.

Thanks, Ginny- you are TOO sweet! Well- I got home from work last night around 9pm & Isis was bounding around the house like her normal self. I still kept her vet appointment today, though. The vet gave her a clean bill of health &that she must have eaten something that really inflamed her stomach. I just can't figure out what it is because she would never pick trash or eat anything "icky"....besides cat food. I'm just glad that she is finally ok. :yay:
Well, on that note- I am leaving in 10 days!!!!! I just did the online check-in. Now I have to start getting things together to leave. :hyper:
So I need a little help from you guys- I have 5 dresses to choose from & only 2 dinners I will wear them to. I just need help deciding which one to wear to Jiko & which one to wear to California Grill. I know it isn't a big deal, but I can never make up my mind, so I usually would pack ALL of them! :rotfl: I am trying not to overpack this time. Though I will end up packing about 15 t-shirts for 5 days. :rolleyes1 I am going to upload the dress photos & post again soon.

Would love to see the dresses.

I'm so glad Isis is better. I know that is such a burden off your shoulders. We all hate to have issues with the puppies.

Can you believe 10 days? That is totally awesome.
