yeah...i know...this is not a trip report about our visit to the world but it is a report about our trip to visit the disney catalog outlet in rehoboth beach delaware (you know you have to do something to fill the void between disney trips)...
during our christmas break we decided that it would be nice to take a trip to the disney catalog store in rehoboth beach delaware...we have never visited this store before but thought
we might be able to pick up a few good deals...
we live just north of philadelphia and set out on our journey on new years eve day at about 7:45am...took the new jersey turnpike to delaware route 1/13south and arrived in rehoboth beach at about 9:45...stopped for a quick bite to eat and then headed over to the store at about 10:30...
the store is in the rehoboth beach outlet center which is about 2 miles down on the left as are entering rehoboth from the north on route 1...
the store was very nice...everything was organized very well and everything had it's price marked very clearly...the only thing to be aware of is that you need to watch that some of the signs
on top of the display towers indicated that items were 50% off did not include all items on the tower...
we ended up purchasing 2 denim shirts, the new disney trivial pursuit, the alice in wonderland christmas ornaments (in the book), a new villians pin bag, mickey shower curtain, pillow covers
and a few other small items...the total on this was about $125...pretty cheap assuming what it would have cost should we have puchased this from the catalog or from the disney store...
one word of warning...they did not honor my wifes cast member discount nor did they honor the normal 10% dvc discount...but the cashier that was helping us gave us a 10% club discount since
we drove all the way down from philadelphia...
as an aside, the outlet center that the disney catalog outlet is in housed several other great outlet stores that would provide a good day of shopping should you want to...
overall, a nice diversion from everyday life and a good way to get a dose of disney!!!!
any questions, please let me know....
