Nose rings

That is your option to be grossed out but I don't get it at all. Noserings are pretty mainstream now so I am really not getting this reaction that you are having toward them.

I'm not asking you to get it.

My doctor has a nosering. The horror!:confused3:sad2:

When is the last time your doctor served you food?

She hasn't. BUT the supermarket I go to has lots of emploeyees with piercings, especially the deli. I favor that market over the one that makes their employees take them out or cover them up with bandaids.

Do you not go to restaurants with servers that have pierced ears? What's the difference and how exactly does a nose piercing affect the cleanliness of said server?

A doctor is probably going to have closer contact with you than a food server. Just saying.

The doctor won't be touching my food. Is the food concept that hard to understand?

:confused3

Obviously her employer doesn't think it's so gross. Just sayin....:rolleyes1

I agree with the to each their own. If nobody wants to see it, then don't look at the person with piercings.

I found most of the hair styles from the 80's disgusting, so I just didn't look at the persons head :thumbsup2

There is a major healthfood store here that has a lot of employees with peircings and nobody seems to mind it. Most of the people that shop there are higher income.

Pierced ears don't bother me in a restaurant but pierced noses do in a restaurant.
Don't put words in my mouth. I didn't say they were dirty. I will say that if I go to a restaurant and my server has a nose piercing, I'm leaving.

Well that settles it. If rich people shop there, it must be OK.:lmao:

I'm not putting words in your mouth. I just fail to see what the difference is. Thanks for the seat though!

No...it means that a whole lot of conservative people in this area(I'm in the South) don't seem to have a problem with how the employees look.

One of the attending physicians where I work has a nose stud, but not a septum piercing (thanks for the terminology! :)).

Piercing mucus membranes is unsanitary, but in the huge realm of Unsanitary Stuff, a nose piercing seems fairly insignificant. The septum piercing was just so unattractive that I thought there must be some hidden reason for it that I was unaware of. It makes more sense to hear that's it's a tribal thing, 'cause in my opinion it's not a beauty thing.

Rich people are all conservative?
