I can't even begin to tell you on how many levels I resent this post. Or the people who resort common insults and stereotyping when others don't see things their way.

AMEN

I'm so confused by now, I'm sorry! Should we choose a different brunch date or were we going to change the dinner date? I'll wait for a consensus before submitting the request, but since dinner is already scheduled, maybe we should just pick a different brunch date? Input is appreciated from other "Brunchees." I love making up words! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Well I am only on the dinner list but I don't care as long as it is not falling on the night of a good show. It seems as if the 10th 11th and 12th are out for dinner due to 1st night, Castaway and then Formal Night.

Can we keep the Palo dinner on the 14th? I just had to switch a spa reservation to clear the 14th! Please? :thanks:

I'm fine with keeping the dinner as is and changing the brunch. In fact, since the brunch is my favorite, I'm all for having it on our first sea day (4/12) :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Dee, I'm going to call tomorrow and see if I can get any more info on the shows, etc... I didn't realize that you guys had a brunch date set, sorry. We'll move ours, no problem!

Brooklyn, just thinking...if someone has to back out of the Palo dinner at the last minute, are they still charged? They said it had to be 12, but no more than 14 ppl.

One of the themes still says Transatlantic Transit Authority. As a reminder, we could change it to be Tomorrowland Transatlantic Authority to play up the nostalgia of taking a transatlantic cruise while still keeping it "Disney" enough for us.

Isn't Donald the atrium mascot for the new Disney Dream ship? I think the mascot of the Disney Magic ship is Mickey, but I could be wrong.

Just my two cents!

I like the dedicated book exchange, as opposed to being part of game time. . .

I think listing the books in advance and reserving copies is not ideal for a 2-weak cruise with multiple participants. . .

I would be happy to be in charge of the book exchange since I suggested in the first place . . .
Dee,

I think you should handle the DIS Book Exchange as you deem appropriate, and would do an outstanding job. Thanks for volunteering.

I honestly didn't mean to come on too strong. I was just thinking out loud, so to speak...I'm sorry if it came out wrong...

I am going hunt books (and wabbits) at our local library's book sale this weekend. Patrons tend to be speedy readers & donators, so the selection tends to be pretty good there.

I might be able to pick up a couple of books to donate to a DIS book exchange for the cruise...
Let's see what treasures I find. (Any requests?)
I'll update.

I think some people are getting a little tuchy... We all have opinions... my opinion is old fogie... Does not mater if I am right or wrong as long as I get my opinion (ps I am older than you so it is not a age thing it is a opinion thing).

No, not at all! I think you were on the right track with the book exchange from the outset. I really believe you'll do a great job, and you can count on Mrs. Woody and me to be there.

IMHO, if we have a capable volunteer for something, I'd let them take the ball and run with it. But if everyone tries to second guess every detail, it will never get done.

Again, I'm really glad you're handling the book exchange.

Words can hurt, pal.

2007 EB Late Night Activities

This is in addition to the main entertainment (Walt Disney Theater) of the evening; it gives us an idea of when they held Match Your Mate and the Cabaret Shows (usually a more "adult" shorter version of the WD Theater performance, though not usually "R-adult," except perhaps in the case of BlackStreetBoyz, as I am reading could be-not necessarily in these posts).

The Studio Sea activities are listed as "Family." The 2nd column of Studio Sea is what followed the first column's activity.

...and in front is "Bound for Barcelona," in a close second is "Bound for Barcelona."

With 4 of the 5 entries being...TA DA - "Bound for Barcelona," I think we know which will win.

Guess what we'll put on our lanyards? Hmmm..."Bound for Barcelona" ??

I love Donald running. Perhaps I can see myself running to catch the boat (although that might apply more on the Med cruise). But also the simplicity of the design. And Donald gets so left out of stuff. But he is really the sailor of the gang. Think of his shirt and hat. (Not to mention orange and blue are my college colors - War Eagle.)

I love Mickey, Minnie & Goofy in their nautical attire showing through the portholes. Plus that great boat with gold scroll work.

How do you decide? You don't really have to. If you get a lanyard, it's going to probably be medium blue with white lettering, saying "Bound for Barcelona" (with additional words to the effect of 2010 Disney Magic Eastbound Transatlantic April 10-24). [Okay, Krisann?]

Why do I say that? Because medium blue goes with both the vote front-leaders and the Cap'n Mickey logo.

I'll make multiple nametags for anyone who wants them. It's 14 nights; I'll need a change at some point. And I WANT to wear both of them. :)

As long as everyone has seen the couple of options, they should be able to recognize the various nametags (since the lanyards will be alike).

And we know we'll be seeing everything as a magnet somewhere.

...I like the dedicated book exchange, as opposed to being part of game time. I enjoy looking through the books and not worrying that I'm missing a game I want to play

....My little band is thinking about breakfast on the ship together before heading out. This might be a fun thing to do for other groups, or we can just all take over an entire wing of Topsider :lmao::lmao::lmao:

I agree; when we're playing games, I want you to be in the game. I want to win by beating you fair and square :lmao: - no excuses like, "I was trying to trade books!" :rolleyes1

... That's what I'm hoping for - little get-togethers . People to play with, dine with.

:grouphug: This is the polite, sorry I stepped on your toes cruise group. We are definitely in need of some face time so we can hear the tone of voice of the speaker. 93 days to go. We also have some very sarcastic propensities, myself included (which really do need sound to convey). I am not speaking for others - I'm letting you know what has transpired. We have spent many a post trying to recover from (unintentional) perceived slights. Great quotes.

Steven Long -

I know I misspelled expialidocious in my list of 2007 late night activities. But I'm not going to fix it now. I have less than a week to do estimated taxes and get ready for a 3 1/2 week trip to CA and Hawaii. And try to keep up with this thread (I went to bed early last night and you guys covered 5 pages!) :goodvibes

I may have forgotten something; this is to get the ball rolling...

Cruise Eve Meets info:

I took details (who's where) off the website; I wasn't feeling comfortable having this out there for the world to see (not with kids involved). I've got a list of who's where, so if you are staying at the airport or the port and want to meet up, let me know and I'll PM you more info.

Lynne

...And she was really concerned about our early flt at 9:30. She called the Air dept and they said not to book until after 12. I think we'll have to cancel our transfers and get our own transporation to the airport that morning. She read something that said, "cannot get ashore until 8AM on the 24th."...

Okay, now I'm concerned. My flight out is 10:45. Three hour lead time at the airport puts us there at 7:45. Half-hour to get there - off the boat getting a taxi at 7:15.

Are we sure that the port authority has us cleared for passenger exit already since we are in port?

Somebody who has their DCL flights already - what time are you flying?
