I'm fine with keeping the dinner as is and changing the brunch. In fact, since the brunch is my favorite, I'm all for having it on our first sea day (4/12)

This is ok with me... I'd really prefer if they weren't back to back. (13th dinner and 14th brunch-I might still be full!!!)

As to telling what books I'll be bringing--I won't be planning that far in advance. I read 3-5 books per week normally, and it's a matter of what looks good and is available in the $1 from the library the week before the cruise. Occasionally I start 2-3 weeks ahead to be sure I get a few good things, but the problem with that is keeping myself from reading them before I fly!

Sounds like you need a Kindle or something similar. I currently have about 70 books on my Kindle-think that's enough? How many books will you have to bring? Or will you be too busy playing to read?

Okay, now I'm concerned. My flight out is 10:45. Three hour lead time at the airport puts us there at 7:45. Half-hour to get there - off the boat getting a taxi at 7:15.

Are we sure that the port authority has us cleared for passenger exit already since we are in port?

Somebody who has their DCL flights already - what time are you flying?

I can't remember how much people paid but I know I could have gotten cheaper flights on my own. But then I would have to pay for several hotels(pre and post) that would have brought up the price to almost the same. Besides, I'm traveling solo. No one to talk to or help me decipher the foreign languages. So, it was worth it for me to pay the few extra bucks.

Gold/Platinum with officers was Monday morning on 7 day Western last month. I do remember that it was at the same time as we'd originally booked brunch.

DCL web site is a total mess...I spoke with them this morning. GS is supposed to be calling me back....I have dinner on the Villains night and want to change it; they are supposedly researching whether our info about which night is villains is correct (!?!) The web site isn't showing my tea, but it is showing up on their system. Tell me that I love this.

Great to know that I'll be OK with my 11 am flight if DCL is booking people at 10. It's quite normal for them to recommend one thing and do something else--they recommend no flights out of MCO before 12:30, but book people at 11:30.

Yes, it is my understanding that the ship will clear on the 23rd when we come in, so we should be able to disembark without delay on the 24th.

DCL just called...they have my Palo straightened out. Yeah! I'm sailing solo with a table for 2 for dinner April 14 at 7:30 and tea April 13 at 3 if anyone wants to join me.

Yeah I posted awhile back with a questionnaire for those participating to fill out, but then was away for a bit. But we do need to make decisions for it so that people can prepare.
I have a list that I inherited, but it is probably out of date. Those that want to participate will probably have to reconfirm to me, or let me know. I will post the list I have again just in case.

1. With it being a longer cruise, it should only be 5 - 6 gifts TOPS. 14 is just alot of day! What does everyone think?

2. Spending limits I have had on the past were usually anywhere from 15-30 bucks total for all gifts. This amount can be changed, but probably need to decide it soon.

3. Most people save their best gift for the end at the reveal, but not everyone makes it to the reveal, so it depends on if everyone wants to have another meet or not.
The reveal should be on a day close to the end....maybe the last sea day or something?

Thats right. You bid $49 and when the taxes and fees are added in later, the total room cost will be roughly your quoted cost.
Make sure to select only "Cape Canaveral" and 2.5*

For example, I bid on 2 rooms. My bid was $49/room and after taxes and fees, it cost me $117.52 or $58.76/room. So a little more than your quote but still cheaper than anywhere I've seen and this hotel seems to be one of the hotels of choice among Dis'ers

Dh thinks that we should just book the Kid Suite but I'm all for the great rate from Priceline. He doesn't want to get to the hotel from the west coast and not have enough sleeping space in the hotel room.

The brunch is going to request a time. I think you were able to nail down a time bc you are staying in a suite. I think if Dishy24 already changed things bc of this date being set I say we just keep it as it.

Did you make your FE or did you buy it? I'd love one with just two pockets. I can't sew anything. The FE I have I glued together and it's a bit "interesting". I'd love something different.

I bought the FE on eBay. Actually, I had it custom made. My choice of colors, names, logos and number of pockets (make sure you e-mail the seller in advance, with any questions / custom requests). There are a few people selling them on ebay - Most of the sellers will make them with as many pockets as you prefer. They seem to be past / current DCL fans. Search for FE or FISH EXTENDER in the subject line. You can also do an advanced search, to search out the seller I used ... gradysmommy.

Does anyone have a problem with Promenade Lounge, 3PM - 4PM? It's an open lounge ... will NOT be reserved for us ... but IS available for us to use. If this sounds good, I will confirm with DCL Special Functions. No obligation or cost on anyone's part.

Bermuda was my choice for a honeymoon - haven't gotten married yet. Then it was for my 40th B'day.

--I do not think DCL would go to Bermuda, as their docks would not support the Magic or Wonder, let alone the Dream or Fantasy (as per my understanding). When I was there, it was on a 55,000 ton ship (Celebrity Horizon). Anything much larger, and you'd have to tender (again, to the best of my knowledge). I know DCl does not like to tender, unless absolutely necessary (no docks at all - in port).

Priceline used to only guarantee a room for 2 people - do not know if that has changed - that is why we quit using it when I need all 4 of us in one room. They say you can call and ask for a 2 bedded room but you will only get it if the hotel has room and they want to do it.

Just read the fine print before doing it.
