Make sure to select "Cape Canaveral" area only. This area only has 2* and 2.5* options. Pick the 2.5*, put in $49 as your bid and you're good to go.

Sounds like we might have a DIS meet goin' on :thumbsup2

Thanks dh:lovestruc

Hopefully it does shape up to be a precruise meet!!!

Just spoke with Concierge. These are *tentative* dates, but I thought you'd like to know:

4/12: Formal Night - Prince and Princess Theme
4/16: Villians Menu -- perhaps new show that night??
4/17: Transatlantic Formal Night
4/18: Pirate Night - Madeira
4/22: Semi Formal Capt Gala

tentative dates for Char B-fast: 14, 15 or 16th

Our Palo dinner group is booked on 4/14 a7 6PM. They'll call to confirm 25 days out.

HTH! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

That is great info, not a fan of Pirate night being on a port day tho

There are always more to come. I think we need to set a date that cuts off the FE. If anyone choses to join after that point then they will have to know that some people may not have enough to give out to the late people. I am one who will keep on making/buying till the end but I know for some that just can't happen. My gifts has always been something that I have been able to make more of. :rolleyes1

Any suggestions on a date?

I try to buy/make a few extras just in case, but a cut off date is probably a good idea, I like that people can still join though with the knowledge that they may not get all. Makes sense to me.

Just does not seem very Disney to me. :confused3 Or maybe just not for me.

I would expect an act like that on another cruise line...it does not seem to fit on DCL to me. I am very sarcastic and love to joke around but I have not heard anything about these guys that makes me want to watch their act.

Hey - can we make our Palo dinner for somewhere between 21-23 April, LOL I am just kidding! I am one who skips the variety acts a lot! I love the broadway style shows and save my watching for those shows. I usually enjoy other things around the ship during the variety times anyway.

I hope you all feel better soon:goodvibes We saw them on our last cruise and they were family friendly during the show, not so much in the adult club though. My kidlets thought they were funny esp. when people tried to leave the theatre. I thought they were very funny, but it is definately a personal choice.

I think I am somewhat caught up. HAve a great evening,:goodvibes

Did you make your FE or did you buy it? I'd love one with just two pockets. I can't sew anything. The FE I have I glued together and it's a bit "interesting". I'd love something different.

--All of our excursions dissappeared. DW e-mail DCL reservations. They were quick to e-mail back, and confirmed everything was still visible on their end.

Lynne - The BlackStreetBoyz actually go by Albert & Seymour ... which is probably a better name ... less confusing!

For those who are asking, what is an FE ... it's an acronym for FISH EXTENDER. Okay, so what is that? It's a message holder, which is conveniently hung from the DCL "fish" mounted outside of each stateroom. The fish is designed to hold notes, messages (instead of slipping under your door). The FE is usually customized to taste and desire - Disney style! We had ours made as a 3-pocket (I've seen 2, 3 & 4 pockets). For ours, the 1st pocket has me and DW. 2nd pocket has our DS (volunteer fireman, named Mike). 3rd pocket with DCL logo, for any guests sailing with us - or for overflow.

The DCL web site is screwed up and driving me nuts. So there.

SO....is all the above saying that we are getting Alfred and Seymore? Oh well...

Anyone know who else we're getting? Looks like not Susan Egan (per her web site, we're not on her schedule. Too bad; I really liked her on the Panama crossing.

Yes, Susan Egan was terrific on the PC.

This may be a bit too much work, but one thing we could do is everybody posts what books they are bringing on the cruise. If you would like to read anyone's books, then let them know. Each book could have a list (kinda like a checklist) of who to give the book to next. After being read, it could be dropped into the next person's FE. If the person who gets the book is in the middle of another book, they could just drop it into someone else's FE that is on the list. Each person would cross off their name after reading the book.

Is this too complicated?

Kristi

Kristi, this might work for some, but I don't think it would work for me. I often plan to read much more than I actually end up reading. I get sidetracked by all the goings on around the ship ;) I'd feel really bad if I promised someone a book and then didn't read it in time to share :guilty: I am more than happy to pass them on if I do finish them though, and still would like to donate them at the end of the cruise.

<<INITIAL MEET 'n GREET>>
Does anyone have a problem with Promenade Lounge, 3PM - 4PM? It's an open lounge ... will NOT be reserved for us ... but IS available for us to use. If this sounds good, I will confirm with DCL Special Functions. No obligation or cost on anyone's part.

Works for me

Me too! This is where we've had them on other cruises and it worked out well :thumbsup2

OK, I really screwed this one up... it is not BACK Street Boys OR BLACK Street Boyz... the NON-TIPPERS are Boyz II Men! I am a wealth of information, aren't I??? lol

:rotfl:

Steven and Donna, looks like I bought my FE from the same ebay seller. :)

Can someone give me examples of what gifts are passed out during Secret Mickey? We didn't have this on the WB PC-- or maybe I didn't sign up. ??

I was hoping for S. Egan. Wonder if I can ask Concierge who is scheduled. Maybe I'll call them tomorrow. :) I hope it's not Joey Fatone ...

It is great having friends in high places...or should I say high decks, LOL :rotfl: Please call! Thanks!

I think everyone's sense of humor is different. I found them to be hilarious...one of the most entertaining acts I have seen for a long time, but I like that sort of thing. I did not find them vulgar (sexual innuendo) at all, but they are kinda quick, might have missed some stuff. I might be able to get DH to commit to coming if I tell him they are on board.......

Oh yes, everyone is def different. I just have not read much that makes me ever want to watch them.

OK...:goodvibes We need some younger people voting. One of the Old fogie ones is winning right now. If you are young or young at heart go vote :woohoo:

I take offense to that comment! I consider it "classic"

The one that is winning is MY FAVORITE & I am not even close to being an "old fogie"...

Geez, I left for 5 hours and had 5 pages to catch up on...For what it's worth, here are my thoughts:

I like the dedicated book exchange, as opposed to being part of game time. I enjoy looking through the books and not worrying that I'm missing a game I want to play.

I think listing the books in advance and reserving copies is not ideal for a 2-weak cruise with multiple participants. I like the "let's just bring stuff and check it out on board for as long as we want" attitude ;)

I would be happy to be in charge of the book exchange since I suggested in the first place, unless someone else has a strong need to run it :lmao: I don't want to take over everything.

Taxis: I have been contacted by 2 other people about sharing a taxi at Gibraltar for the people without mobility issues. I don't know how many people can fit in 1 cab. So far there are 4 of us. Brooklyn, by any chance, do you know how many people can fit in a cab there?

If you feel you need a point-person for non-mobility-challenged cab rides in Gibraltar, I can take names and maybe divide the names into groups based on adults-only /mixed-ages. But I think once groups are assigned, they should establish departure times on their own. My little band is thinking about breakfast on the ship together before heading out. This might be a fun thing to do for other groups, or we can just all take over an entire wing of Topsider :lmao::lmao::lmao:

I can't even begin to tell you on how many levels I resent this post. Or the people who resort common insults and stereotyping when others don't see things their way.

I'm so confused by now, I'm sorry! Should we choose a different brunch date or were we going to change the dinner date? I'll wait for a consensus before submitting the request, but since dinner is already scheduled, maybe we should just pick a different brunch date? Input is appreciated from other "Brunchees." I love making up words! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
