"No One's Gloomy or Complaining"-in DISNEY WORLD!~An 11/12 TR!-*NEW TR Link pg 56!!!*

Here's hoping your December trip works out!
I really love your ornament, I do the same thing too -- every new one is my new favourite! :thumbsup2
I've always said if I won a big lottery I would get something awesome from the Art of Disney!

The scrapbook I bought last summer when we were there is the same design as your ornament! Super cute! I love the Christmas store!

And yes, please feel free to make this last as long as you want! lol

I feel like there was something else I wanted to comment on but I forgot already lol

Wow, that ornament is amazing! At first, I just saw the picture of it, and I thought to myself, "Man, that'd make for a great pin," then I read what it was and thought that was even better!

The first time I ate at EoS, I ordered the Original and couldn't understand why everyone talked up the restaurant so much. Definitely isn't their greatest menu item. The Holiday looks so good! I really need to try that one day.

Caught up! Love the Ornament.. I also thought at first it was a Pin!

Sorry the EoS dissapointed! I've loved all the ones I have tried! I usually stick to the Holiday though as well lol.

Hope everything is well with you personally and you have some clarification soon!

Oh my...that omelet looks soooooooooooooooo good. I agree on the potatos...not a big fan.

Love shopping at DTD. Love the smell in Basin (I usually get Des a souvenir there). I love your Perry...he is very cute.

We are not going to get to Earl of this trip again, I'm afraid. But if we get a crappy day we will certainly try.

It was good! I love Disney breakfast food!

Basin is so amazing, I'm so glad I started buying things there! :thumbsup2

I think I saw on FB that you finally made it to EoS, yay! :cool1:

I love that your TR is still going on! Makes me so happy!

Although, the fact we didn't meet up in Disney, still makes me super bummed!!! Lets make that Disneyland trip happen!:lmao:

Haha, well, I'm dragging it out until I at least know when my next trip will be, so then I'll be able to start a PTR when this is over!

YES, we need to go to Disneyland! If not next year, definitely for the 2015 D23 Expo! :cool1:

Feel free to drag this TR out as long as you like! (After all, I'm still doing an Oct. 2011 TR & I started my PTR back when I didn't know when I'd be going back...gotta have something going at all times on the DIS, right? :rotfl:)

That is a really cool ornament you got. I love that store too.

That art store is really fun to look around. I agree -- we'd get a lot of things there if we were millionaires.

Too bad you didn't love your sandwich! Everything I've tried has been good. Oh, well. Looks like you had a pretty good morning anyway.

And yay for Christmas in the MK! :santa:

Lol, I know, I have to have something to do on here! If I finish this, I can't even start a PTR because I don't know if my December trip is happening, so I kind of have to drag this out now! :rotfl2:

Thanks, I just love Disney ornaments!

I know, that art store is awesome! If only I could win the lottery, haha!

It was ok, I guess I was just expecting it be amazing, since everything else I've had at EoS has been!

I love Disney Cake pops but I agree the marshmallow ears are my favorite part. I cannot wait to read about your MVMCP!

Aren't the marshmallow ears soooo good! I want to try the other flavors of cake pops, maybe they're better than the chocolate ones! :cool1:

Oh Jen - I hope you are able to pull off a December trip or at least get another trip planned. It's tough when you don't have a Disney trip on the horizon. Then the boards are torture.

I absolutely love that pin. It's adorable.

Wait - there is an EOS sandwich that is just "meh"? I didn't think that was possible. :confused3

Those cake pops are so cute!

Thanks! :goodvibes I'm trying, everything just sucks right now, to be honest! :rotfl: Trying to stay positive, though, I know things will turn around, I just wish it could happen sooner than later!

Haha, I know, I mean, it was an ok sandwich, but I just didn't love it like I Thought I would! Maybe I was just mad because it wasn't my holiday sandwich lol! :rotfl:

I LOVE that ornament!!!!!!! Sssooo cute!!!!!!

I still have yet to eat at EoS! LoL

The cake pops with vanilla or red velvet are the best, in my opinion :)

Still crossing my fingers and toes your December trip is a go!!! <3 :)

Thanks!

There's an EoS in Disneyland, you can go then!

Yeah I'm going to try a vanilla one next! I think the chocolate was way too rich! It was good, but it was just too much! :confused3

Thanks, me too! I HOPE!!!! :goodvibes

I bought a key chain that has almost the exact same design as your ornament, and I bought it for the same reasons you did. :goodvibes

I love that artwork with the four parks!

There's a keychain that looks like that? OMG I need it!!! :thumbsup2

Isn't it nice? I think I'm going to get it when I go back...whenever that is!

I really hope you are able to make your December trip happen. pixiedust: Mostly because I know how important it would be for you, but also a little selfish because I love reading your TR's! :goodvibes

Okay I really love that ornament you picked out. Like really REALLY love it! It is like all things quintessentially WDW wrapped into one perfect ornament! Please don't take offense if I hunt one down on our October trip & copy you. ;)

If I had dispensable funds and lots of display room, I would go CRAZY in Art of Disney! They have some truly amazing art work there, of course all for an insane amount of money. :lmao: I love going in there, but man do I hate not being able to leave with one of everything.

Thank you, I HOPE SO!!! I'll even settle for a super short trip at this point, 3 or 4 nights would be good enough! I just need to see the Disney Christmas magic!!! PLEASE let this happen Disney Gods!!!!! :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

Thanks! Isn't that ornament the cutest? YOu should definitely get one, they had tons of them when I bought it so I'm assuming they will still have them this year! :thumbsup2

I know, we all need to win the lottery so we can take tons of Disney trips and buy a limitless amount of Disney art! :thumbsup2

Love that ornament! It kinda looks like a pin almost, hahaha. Too bad your EoS sandwich wasn't the best... but that cake pop looks yummy! Yay for MVMCP!!

Sent from my iPhone using DISBoards

Thanks, it does kind of look like a pin! It's so cute!

The cake pop was yummy, especially the ears! :cool1:

Here's hoping your December trip works out!
I really love your ornament, I do the same thing too -- every new one is my new favourite! :thumbsup2
I've always said if I won a big lottery I would get something awesome from the Art of Disney!

Thank you! :goodvibes PLEASE let it work out, my Disney depression is so bad I can barely function! :sad1: It hasn't been this bad in years!!

Thanks! I know, it's hard to pick a favorite ornament! And now they have those shoe and ear hat ornaments, and I want every one of those!

I know, I need to start buying some lottery tickets!!! :thumbsup2

The scrapbook I bought last summer when we were there is the same design as your ornament! Super cute! I love the Christmas store!

And yes, please feel free to make this last as long as you want! lol

I feel like there was something else I wanted to comment on but I forgot already lol

The Christmas store is the best! That would seriously be my dream job in Disney! I'd almost rather work in DTD than the parks, because then going to the parks might be more fun...then again, I wouldn't turn down a job in the MK Christmas store, you know? :rotfl2:

Haha, I'm trying! I'll probably do another update tomorrow, and the MVMCP should take 3 updates at least! :cool1:

Wow, that ornament is amazing! At first, I just saw the picture of it, and I thought to myself, "Man, that'd make for a great pin," then I read what it was and thought that was even better!

The first time I ate at EoS, I ordered the Original and couldn't understand why everyone talked up the restaurant so much. Definitely isn't their greatest menu item. The Holiday looks so good! I really need to try that one day.

I never even realized that it looks like a pin, but it does! I love it, it's so simple, yet so perfect! I love that the monorail is on it! :cool1:

The Holiday sandwich is the BEST!!!! I've had a few other ones and they were all really good, but the Original is just kind of boring, I guess! :rotfl2:

Caught up! Love the Ornament.. I also thought at first it was a Pin!

Sorry the EoS dissapointed! I've loved all the ones I have tried! I usually stick to the Holiday though as well lol.

Hope everything is well with you personally and you have some clarification soon!

Thanks! It does look like a pin, now that everyone pointed it out! :rotfl:

That's ok, eventually I want to try all of them, and I'm not expecting to love every one! I do love that Holiday sandwich, though!

Thanks! :goodvibes Me too! :thumbsup2

The Days of Christmas is so much fun to browse through. I might have to buy an ornament from there on my next trip. Love the one you chose :thumbsup2 Now... if only they had a year round Halloween store in Disney ;)

Art of Disney really is so tempting, but everything is so expensive! Why can't they give a discount to their most loving and devoted fans? HONESTLY! :/ I totally would buy that Sleeping Beauty painting with three fairies, absolutely gorgeous. Merryweather is my fave <3 And I wish I was going to MNSSHP to meet Jack and Sally too! *sigh* Maybe, they'll keep them out as regular characters for awhile and you could meet them in December and I in February! :D

Awww, the Perry plush is adorable! I remember how last time I was in DTD, my friend almost convinced me to buy the jumbo sized Perry plush. Would've been a great addition to the large supply I have lol Maybe I'll reconsider that decision again though...

Mmmm... between Goofy's and that Cake Pop, I'm in desperate need of some sweet sustenance. Gosh, my next Disney trip is literally going to be just desserts at this point.

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

They should have a year round Halloween store at Disney! What a great idea!

I know, Art of Disney is really expensive. Someday I'm going to buy something crazy from there! :thumbsup2 I hope they keep Jack and Sally out for a while, it seems like a waste to have them go through all this training and not have them stay out!

I almost bought a HUGE Perry at the Disney Store one day...I have so many stuffed Perry's it's a little ridiculous, but I love him! I want the Pillow Pet too!

Haha nothing wrong with Disney desserts!! :cool1:

MVMCP Part 1

Haha, I know, real creative title for this chapter huh? If I think of anything better I'll change it, but the titles are just not coming to me these days!

Guess I'll point it out before I start this chapter, I decided to get rid of my ticker for now...I just can't look at it, I feel like it's mocking me or something! :rotfl: I'm still not sure when I'm going to decide if this trip is off or not, I'm giving myself til the end of the month I think, because that would give me October and most of November to save up for it, and that's really what this trip is coming down to, finances. So if I could win the lottery in the next few weeks, that would be fantastic! :rolleyes1

When we left off, we had just left Downtown Disney to go back to POR to rest and get ready for the Christmas party. I was excited, I had a cute new Belle shirt to wear, it was cool and not humid, so I figured if I straightened my hair it would look good that night for pictures...I was in a great mood! MVMCP is my favorite!

Sometime between then and arriving at our dinner destination, I either checked the DIS or Twitter and found out that our MVMCP was sold out. I already had tickets, but it was early in November, since when to MVMCP's sell out that early?? I was upset, because a year earlier, we went to a sold out MNSSHP and it was miserable. I was hoping it wouldn't be the same this year.

We drove to the TTC and decided to walk to our dinner destination instead of taking the monorail...I'm sure you all have guessed by now that we were having dinner at...the POLY!!! :cool1: Have to go to 'Ohana at least once on every trip, right?

I didn't realize the walk from the TTC to the Poly was so long, and it was raining a little. Not enough to actually get wet, but enough to frizz my hair for the night. So much for having it look nice in the pictures at MVMCP! :rotfl:

Just wanted to take a picture of the torch, and Brandon gets in my way haha!

The entrance to the Poly is just perfect...it's really like you're walking into this perfect tropical oasis. Probably the closest I'll get to Hawaii in a long time! The waterfalls and the torches and that Poly smell...I can't even think about it without wanting to cry! PLEASE let me go back in December, please!!!!!!

We went upstairs to check in for 'Ohana, where I had to get a quick picture of one of the Christmas trees:

All of the resorts were in the process of being decorated for the holidays by then and the Poly was looking beautiful, as usual!

We checked in and they gave us our pager and we noticed that there were actually tables available at Tambu Lounge...usually whenever we're waiting to get into 'Ohana they're all taken, so we grabbed one. I wasn't sure I should drink, since I didn't want to risk getting a headache (I never know when alcohol will give me a migraine or not...most of the time I'm fine, but sometimes I'll take one sip and get an instant headache!) I considered a Lapu Lapu for about 3 seconds, but since that is basically pure alcohol in a pineapple, I decided to get my favorite Disney drink, a Godiva Chocolate martini.

YUM!!! Seriously, my favorite drink in the world! Brandon surprised me and got something other than beer, he got a Backscratcher (I think that's what it's called...when they give you the drink with an actual backscratcher in it?)

I figured anything tropical like that would be too girly for him or something, but he liked it!

Times like these are almost the best parts of Disney trips...when you're just sitting with the person or people you are with, not really doing anything, just hanging out and chatting and not having a care in the world. Not rushing to an ADR or trying to make rope drop to get Fast Passes...just having a drink and enjoying being in Disney World. It was seriously one of my favorite parts of this trip, just sitting with Brandon, waiting to get into 'Ohana!

Of course, I'm not about to complain when our buzzer goes off and it's time to go in! :woohoo:

We were seated and I'm pretty sure we told them not to bother giving us any salad, since it would just be a waste and we wouldn't eat it! What can I say, we're just not salad people! So they immediately started bringing out the good stuff...

The various dipping sauces:

The WINGS and the potstickers...OMG those wings, I could live on those!

The NOODLES!!! Again, I could live on those!

So Brandon put this next picture of himself on Facebook, so I'm sure he wouldn't mind me using it here...

:rotfl2: What can I say? We have problems. If you guys could only see half of the pictures we take of each other!

Apparently I didn't think too much of the grilled meats, because I have no pictures...I like the chicken the best, the steak and pork are ok, but I don't know, for some reason they're just not great to me? And I don't even bother with the shrimp, because I can't peel them, too time consuming!

I basically go to 'Ohana for the bread, the noodles, the wings...and THE BREAD PUDDING!!!!

OMG...I mean, there are pretty much no words to describe this perfection. I've had some amazing desserts at Disney, but nothing can come close to this bread pudding. If they told me I had to pay extra for this at the end, I would. It's just the best thing ever invented. Can you imagine working at the Poly and having access to this magnificent dessert any time you wanted it? Note to self...when I'm working in Disney someday, befriend the people that work at 'Ohana so I can have bread pudding whenever I want!

Brandon and I pretty much fight over this dessert, someday I'm going to be brave enough to ask for 2, but I always feel like they will think I'm a pig if I do! It's just not enough for 2 people, that's all I'm saying, it's just too good! We basically attack it once it's on our table.

We finished eating, paid our bill, and were off to the Magic Kingdom. When I'm at the Poly, I like to try to leave myself some time to explore and walk around a little but there was no time that night. I'm not even sure if we took the boat over to MK or the monorail, but it was almost party time once we arrived!

Up next...MVMCP!!!

Haha, I know, real creative title for this chapter huh?

I'm not very creative about that stuff either! As far as I'm concerned, as long as the title of the entire report is good, who cares about the individual chapters? (I'm DISing from the app right now so just imagine a laughing smilie here)

Guess I'll point it out before I start this chapter, I decided to get rid of my ticker for now...I just can't look at it, I feel like it's mocking me or something! :rotfl:

I feel your pain! That will be me next year! The Seven Dwarves Mine Train is going to open next year and it will be more than a year old before I see it! How sad!

I was excited, I had a cute new Belle shirt to wear, it was cool and not humid, so I figured if I straightened my hair it would look good that night for pictures...I was in a great mood!

Insert the smilie shaking his head and rolling his eyes because I knew EXACTLY where this was going....

We made the mistake of going to Halloween Party ON Halloween.... It was SO. CROWDED!! I really hope this didn't happen to you guys!

Have to go to 'Ohana at least once on every trip, right?

This has been eating away at me... We don't have Kona OR Ohana booked for October and it's killing me! I just can't find anywhere to squeeze them in! But I told my BF that the next time we go to WDW we're staying at the Poly! Even if it's only one night, ill at least get to eat at both places and not have to worry about getting there!

it was raining a little. Not enough to actually get wet, but enough to frizz my hair for the night. So much for having it look nice in the pictures at MVMCP! :rotfl:

::sigh:: story of my life lol

We checked in and they gave us our pager and we noticed that there were actually tables available at Tambu Lounge...usually whenever we're waiting to get into 'Ohana they're all taken, so we grabbed one.

It was seriously one of my favorite parts of this trip, just sitting with Brandon, waiting to get into 'Ohana!

How nice there were seats available! I usually just get a Piña Colava and sit in the lobby/waiting area! I agree though! My favorite memories are the ones where we're not rushing! Just sitting on a bench, or on the TTA or the train for the 25th time just riding around. That's what vacation is supposed to be, right??

So Brandon put this next picture of himself on Facebook, so I'm sure he wouldn't mind me using it here...

Lmao!!!! Too funny! We aren't salad people either and I also did not care too much for the grilled meats. I would pay for unlimited wings, potstickers, and bread pudding! That's really all I care about!

Can you imagine working at the Poly and having access to this magnificent dessert any time you wanted it?

I can imagine that my weight watchers subscription would be pretty pointless at that point! it is amazing!

Up next...MVMCP!!!

Woohoo!!

MMMM yum yum yummy! Ohana looks so good. We really do need a drooling smiley on here. I haven't eaten at Ohana yet and I didn't make a ressie there for my January trip but maybe for my November trip because y brother and his fiance are coming with us and I know they want to check out the Poly so it really would be an excellent excuse to book Ohana.

I REALLY REALLY REALLY hope you can go in December!!!!!!!!!!!

The bread pudding is making me hungry!!!! Looks so good!!!!!! :)

Still keeping my fingers firmly crossed for a December trip for you!!
What a wonderful, relaxing way to wait for your dinner time! I agree, those little moments of downtime with your traveling partner(s) is really the best. :thumbsup2
Dinner looks delish! Here's hoping the party wasn't too crowded despite being sold out!

Woohoo!!

Haha, well I see so many TR's with cute titles and chapters, and sometimes they come to me...this time, nothing! :confused3

I can't believe I still haven't seen the Tangled bathrooms yet!!! And the Starbucks! I feel like I'm missing out on SO much! However, I am kind of excited that there will be new stuff to see when we go the next time! So that's one good thing about staying away for so long! :rotfl:

Wow, I can't imagine the Halloween party ON Halloween! It must have been crazy! We went in 2011 and we went to the party on the last day they had CM ticket discounts AND it was that weekend of MK's 40th so it was insane! I was picturing MVMCP to be that way when I found out it was sold out...

I need to learn to slow down in Disney, but I feel like since I don't get to go that much, it's never going to happen. If I could go like, 5 times a year, sure, I'd hang out at the resorts more and just take my time, but when you only go for a week once a year, you have to cram in as much as possible! :rotfl2:

Wings, potstickers, and bread pudding, yep that's really all I need at 'Ohana! I mean, the chicken is good, but it seems like the steak is always overcooked and the pork is just weird. :confused3

Haha I know right? Whenever I move to FL I have to make sure I'm skinny first, so I'm motivated to keep myself in shape...I don't know how that will be possible with all of that DISNEY food always around! :yay:

MMMM yum yum yummy! Ohana looks so good. We really do need a drooling smiley on here. It is sooo good, I love it! YES definitely try to eat at 'Ohana, especially if you want to check out the Poly! It gives you a good excuse to go there and look at everything there, and then you get to eat an amazing dinner too! There is so much to see at the Poly, it's really like it's own little resort! :cool1:

I REALLY REALLY REALLY hope you can go in December!!!!!!!!!!!

The bread pudding is making me hungry!!!! Looks so good!!!!!! :)

AHHHHH thanks, me too!!! :goodvibes

I know, I'd give anything for some bread pudding right now...

Still keeping my fingers firmly crossed for a December trip for you!!

Dinner looks delish! Here's hoping the party wasn't too crowded despite being sold out!

Thank you! I still have hope that it will work out, it might not be the 10 day extravaganza that I had planned (and booked, actually!) but at this point, I'll settle for a quick 4 night trip, just get my fix of the Christmas decorations! I just couldn't look at that ticker anymore, and I figure, if we do end up getting to go, I get to make a whole new ticker this way, and I LOVE making new tickers! (No life, obviously! :rotfl2: :rotfl:)

'Ohana was amazing, as always! I love that place! I could do without the girl singing and walking around, but I guess she's not going anywhere, so I'll have to learn to tune her out! :rotfl2:

I'm caught up, Jen. I love that walk from the TTC to the Poly, but not in the rain. Luckily, you didn't have a downpour.

Love your pictures at the Poly and your dinner at Ohana. We ate there a couple of weeks ago but you'll have to wait for me to get to that update in my TR to know what we thought of it.

Can't wait to see your party pictures.

Hope you'll be able to go back for December! I'm sure you'll be able to figure out something. If there's a will there's a way!

Love the entrance to the Poly too! Literally, if the random rumors that popped up about them getting rid of the waterfall in the entrance way are true I will cry. I NEED MY POLY WATER!!

Mmmmm, what a delicious dinner! Even in pictures, that bread pudding is mouthwatering! I've never had it but what everyone says about it it sounds that good and I really need to try it one day. And everything else too! :goodvibes

Can't wait to read about your actual MVMCP party! :mickeyjum

Yeah it would have been a nice walk, but I was just annoyed about the rain! And I wouldn't have cared if I didn't spend so much time straightening my hair! :rotfl2:

Thanks! I love 'Ohana, it's one of my favorites, but Brandon can take it or leave it! I think he just goes for the bread pudding!

Hope you'll be able to go back for December! I'm sure you'll be able to figure out something. If there's a will there's a way!

I HOPE!!! I only have 20 more days to get this figured out, so times running out here! Once the end of September gets here, if I still don't know if we can go, I'm probably going to have to just suck it up and push my trip back to April or May. I can't even stand the thought of that so I'm focusing on December for now! Trying to stay positive!!! :goodvibes :thumbsup2

OMG you have to try 'Ohana! Make sure you get an ADR there for your next trip, seriously, it's the best thing in all of Disney World!!! :thumbsup2

Not knowing when exactly you'll be back in Disney is the hardest. At least with a future trip in the wings you have something to look forward to. I hope the December trip works out, and if it doesn't, then you'll at least have one for certain worked out. :goodvibes

I've never been sure about the exact distance between the TTC and the Poly, so I've never risked it. Good to know it's a bit longer than one would think. Sorry that you put time and effort into your hair only to have the rain ruin it! The joys of Florida...

Glad you enjoyed your O'hana's dinner. The food looks delicious, as usual. I can't believe I've never been able to eat there. And I wouldn't feel bad about ordering 2 bread puddings. I'm sure they get that more often than you'd think. I imagine if Alex and I ever went, he'd have no shame in doing it. The Disney cruises are similar in that if you ask for a second dish or something, the CMs are totally cool about it. It's your vacation...get what you want. :rotfl:
