MVMCP Part 1
Haha, I know, real creative title for this chapter huh?

If I think of anything better I'll change it, but the titles are just not coming to me these days!
Guess I'll point it out before I start this chapter, I decided to get rid of my ticker for now...I just can't look at it, I feel like it's mocking me or something!

I'm still not sure when I'm going to decide if this trip is off or not, I'm giving myself til the end of the month I think, because that would give me October and most of November to save up for it, and that's really what this trip is coming down to, finances. So if I could win the lottery in the next few weeks, that would be fantastic!
When we left off, we had just left Downtown Disney to go back to POR to rest and get ready for the Christmas party. I was excited, I had a cute new Belle shirt to wear, it was cool and not humid, so I figured if I straightened my hair it would look good that night for pictures...I was in a great mood! MVMCP is my favorite!
Sometime between then and arriving at our dinner destination, I either checked the DIS or Twitter and found out that our MVMCP was sold out. I already had tickets, but it was early in November, since when to MVMCP's sell out that early?? I was upset, because a year earlier, we went to a sold out
MNSSHP and it was miserable. I was hoping it wouldn't be the same this year.
We drove to the TTC and decided to walk to our dinner destination instead of taking the monorail...I'm sure you all have guessed by now that we were having dinner at...the POLY!!!

Have to go to 'Ohana at least once on every trip, right?
I didn't realize the walk from the TTC to the Poly was so long, and it was raining a little. Not enough to actually get wet, but enough to frizz my hair for the night. So much for having it look nice in the pictures at MVMCP!
Just wanted to take a picture of the torch, and Brandon gets in my way haha!
The entrance to the Poly is just perfect...it's really like you're walking into this perfect tropical oasis. Probably the closest I'll get to Hawaii in a long time! The waterfalls and the torches and that Poly smell...I can't even think about it without wanting to cry! PLEASE let me go back in December, please!!!!!!
We went upstairs to check in for 'Ohana, where I had to get a quick picture of one of the Christmas trees:
All of the resorts were in the process of being decorated for the holidays by then and the Poly was looking beautiful, as usual!
We checked in and they gave us our pager and we noticed that there were actually tables available at Tambu Lounge...usually whenever we're waiting to get into 'Ohana they're all taken, so we grabbed one. I wasn't sure I should drink, since I didn't want to risk getting a headache (I never know when alcohol will give me a migraine or not...most of the time I'm fine, but sometimes I'll take one sip and get an instant headache!) I considered a Lapu Lapu for about 3 seconds, but since that is basically pure alcohol in a pineapple, I decided to get my favorite Disney drink, a Godiva Chocolate martini.
YUM!!! Seriously, my favorite drink in the world! Brandon surprised me and got something other than beer, he got a Backscratcher (I think that's what it's called...when they give you the drink with an actual backscratcher in it?)
I figured anything tropical like that would be too girly for him or something, but he liked it!
Times like these are almost the best parts of Disney trips...when you're just sitting with the person or people you are with, not really doing anything, just hanging out and chatting and not having a care in the world. Not rushing to an ADR or trying to make rope drop to get Fast Passes...just having a drink and enjoying being in Disney World. It was seriously one of my favorite parts of this trip, just sitting with Brandon, waiting to get into 'Ohana!
Of course, I'm not about to complain when our buzzer goes off and it's time to go in!
We were seated and I'm pretty sure we told them not to bother giving us any salad, since it would just be a waste and we wouldn't eat it! What can I say, we're just not salad people! So they immediately started bringing out the good stuff...
The various dipping sauces:
The WINGS and the potstickers...OMG those wings, I could live on those!
The NOODLES!!! Again, I could live on those!
So Brandon put this next picture of himself on Facebook, so I'm sure he wouldn't mind me using it here...

What can I say? We have problems. If you guys could only see half of the pictures we take of each other!
Apparently I didn't think too much of the grilled meats, because I have no pictures...I like the chicken the best, the steak and pork are ok, but I don't know, for some reason they're just not great to me? And I don't even bother with the shrimp, because I can't peel them, too time consuming!
I basically go to 'Ohana for the bread, the noodles, the wings...and THE BREAD PUDDING!!!!
OMG...I mean, there are pretty much no words to describe this perfection. I've had some amazing desserts at Disney, but nothing can come close to this bread pudding. If they told me I had to pay extra for this at the end, I would. It's just the best thing ever invented. Can you imagine working at the Poly and having access to this magnificent dessert any time you wanted it? Note to self...when I'm working in Disney someday, befriend the people that work at 'Ohana so I can have bread pudding whenever I want!
Brandon and I pretty much fight over this dessert, someday I'm going to be brave enough to ask for 2, but I always feel like they will think I'm a pig if I do! It's just not enough for 2 people, that's all I'm saying, it's just too good! We basically attack it once it's on our table.
We finished eating, paid our bill, and were off to the Magic Kingdom. When I'm at the Poly, I like to try to leave myself some time to explore and walk around a little but there was no time that night. I'm not even sure if we took the boat over to MK or the monorail, but it was almost party time once we arrived!
Up next...MVMCP!!!
