"No One's Gloomy or Complaining"-in DISNEY WORLD!~An 11/12 TR!-*NEW TR Link pg 56!!!*

Fun update, Jen. Glad you decided to go back to the Studios and see the lights again. We've only seen them once...this past December...but I am hooked and can't wait to be there again this December for it again. We are definitely spending more time there this time.

And how fun that you had time to go to DTD and get one of your favorite sandwiches. I love that Once Upon a Toy Story shop...it's where we got Mark's old man shirt.

I'm going twice next year. January and December! I cannot wait to see the Osbourne Lights and do all that Christmassy stuff. I've never been during the holidays so yay!

I'm so excited to see that you updated! I was missing your TR updates. :goodvibes

I'm totally with you on the Castle Dream Lights vs. Osborne Lights...I don't know if I could choose! They are both so breathtaking & amazing to see. Ahh, I'm really wanting a Christmas trip now!!! :rotfl: Pretty cool that you got to ride RnRc twice in a row too, although you are right, it's just too short.

Nice Osbourne lights pictures! I just love the Osbourne lights. So pretty.

Weird that The RnR light was shorter than the ToT line. It's usually the opposite. :confused3

Glad you had a nice evening at DTD. Nothing like an EOS sandwich to end the night. :thumbsup2

The Siamese cat vinylmation is adorable!!! I want one :)

Once upon a toy is such a cute store! We always go in!!!

Aanndd now I have "we are Siamese if you please, meow..." in my head LoL

I'm a terrible friend and missed your last update! lol!!

I can't believe ToT had an hour wait but RnRC didn't! That seems so backwards to me! Glad you at least got to see the lights again though! I love the bicycles! How cute!

EoS sounds a million and a half times better than the bagel I just ate! I feel like eating there everyday during our October trip!

Do another update now so I have something to read at work lol :-)

Too bad the line was so long for ToT, but that is cool that you got to do RnRC twice! Love those lights! Seems so weird to be seeing them in July, though! :rotfl: Mmmm, that holiday sandwich looks so good right now...and I just finished my lunch! I remember liking Once Upon a Toy too...fun stuff! Look forward to hearing about MVMCP! :santa:

Yeah, RnRC is a good substitute for ToT! :cool1: I know, I usually like to have Christmas TR's wrapped up by now, this one is just taking forever! :confused3 Yum, I could really go for a holiday sandwich right now!!

I'm back and getting all caught up! I love your nighttime DHS photos - so pretty! And I'm not really one for vinylmations, but that Siamese cat one is so funny, I love it!

Yay! Glad you're here! Thanks, I love DHS at night, so perfect! Aww, I love my vinylmations!!

I totally understand your love for the lights.

Aren't they fantastic?? I really need to see them this year!!! :rolleyes1

Yay! I love Osborne lights! And that you didn't go back to the resort right after, who doesn't love a trip to DTD!!

I just found an Earl of Sandwich in AC! It's about an hour and a half away from me... And when we were in AC, no one else wanted to eat there :confused3 but I get to go when I'm in Florida, THIS WEEKEND!

The Osborne Lights are the best! I can't wait to see them again!!

OMG I wish there was an EoS near me! There's one in New York, but I hardly ever go there anymore! I guess it's better, having it be a special treat anyway, I wouldn't want to get sick of it!

Those Osbourne Lights... I've never seen them in person but I think I could totally just sit on a bench and stare at them for hours. Even after those many MANY trips to see local Christmas light displays, I think I could still love these. A shame though ToT had such a long line after. How does it happen that ToT has a long line and RnRC has a short one? :confused3

Love the Siamese Cat vinylmation! Lady and the Tramp has become one of my new faves. :goodvibes

It's funny. I don't think I've been in Once Upon A Toy either and I thought on my last trip I conquered every store in DTD. Well, must make a point to stop by there and may be get a nice Disney pillow for my future dorm. I'm sure my future roommate would appreciate that hehe :teeth:

The Osborne Lights are the best! I can't imagine not seeing them every year! :sad1:

Lady and the Tramp is fantastic, I wish you could meet Lady or the Siamese Cats in the parks, that would be amazing!! :thumbsup2

The toy store is so cute, I can't believe I've never been in there! Haha, I hope you get Disney-loving roommates for your dorm, that would be really awkward if they weren't Disney fans!

Rumor is that this is the last year for Osborne Lights to be at Hollywood Studios. There is speculation that they will be moved to Epcot.

The Holiday Sandwich is sooo good!

Once Upon a Toy is a kid's heaven, isn't it?
I go in there and just follow the girls as they flitter from section to section saying, 'Oh, look!' or 'This is cool!' or 'I don't have one of these, MeMom.'

WHAT??? Oh no, now I really have to make sure I go this year! I have no idea what's going on with my December trip, it's so up in the air right now, but I better be able to at least go for a long weekend! :thumbsup2

I love that Holiday Sandwich, I could live on it!

It is! It's a good thing I don't have any kids, because I'd probably have to spend a ton of money in there! :rotfl:

Fun update, Jen. Glad you decided to go back to the Studios and see the lights again. We've only seen them once...this past December...but I am hooked and can't wait to be there again this December for it again. We are definitely spending more time there this time.

Thanks! The lights are the best, I'm definitely hooked! You have to see them at least 2 nights, I think, one night is not enough!

DTD is fun, how can you pass up EoS! And the Toy shop is adorable, I will definitely be stopping by there again! :cool1:

I'm going twice next year. January and December! I cannot wait to see the Osbourne Lights and do all that Christmassy stuff. I've never been during the holidays so yay!

Yay that will be fun! I think the holiday season is the best time to go to Disney! You are going to love it!

I'm so excited to see that you updated! I was missing your TR updates. :goodvibes

Aww, thanks! :goodvibes I hope to do another update this week! :thumbsup2

Yeah they are both amazing! I really hope I can go this year! RnRC is so much fun, but I wish it was a bit longer! I guess you can't really have a huge indoor coaster though! :confused3

:thumbsup2

Thanks! I love them too!

I know, I didn't get it, but hey, I'm not gonna complain!

Thanks! Haha, I definitely did not need to eat that sandwich, but whatever, it's Disney, calories don't exist, right? :yay:

Once upon a toy is such a cute store! We always go in!!!

Aanndd now I have "we are Siamese if you please, meow..." in my head LoL

Isn't it? I'm so glad I got it!

I love that store now, it's adorable!

Haha, oh no, I hope I don't have that stuck in my head now!

I'm a terrible friend and missed your last update! lol!!

Haha, don't worry about it, I probably won't do another update for another month now! :rotfl2:

I know, it is backwards, but whatever, I'll take it! The lights are the best! The thought of not seeing them this year is just too much! :sad1:

Haha, I'll try to do one later or maybe tomorrow! It's amazing I could even bring myself to do replies today, with my Disney depressing taking over my life!

I'm still here!! Just letting you know. Hahahaha

Yay! I'm still here too, but just not as much as I used to be! I used to freak out if I missed a day of DIS'ing, now I'm lucky if I get on here once a week! :sad2: Going to try to do another update tonight or tomorrow, and I'm trying to get caught up on everyone's TR's! I actually read your latest updates, I just haven't commented yet!

More Downtown Disney Fun!

Thursday, 11/15

Hi guys! Sorry it's been so long again since I've updated! I want to finish this up, but at the same time, I don't, because I won't have anything to do on the DIS! I can't start a PTR for my December trip because, honestly, I don't even know if that trip is happening right now. I'm keeping my hopes up though, but it really depends on a LOT of things. If anything, I might have to shorten it to a long weekend trip, but at this point, as long as I'm in Disney, I don't care! It's just killing me not knowing if we're going or not! I'm tempted to take down my ticker, but I feel like having it there is sending out a positive message to the Disney Gods or something, haha! :rotfl2: I'll keep you guys updated!

Anyway, on to the update! (Wow, I can't believe it's August and this November TR is still going!)

We kind of slept in this morning, haha...as much as I will allow us to sleep in when we're at Disney! We got up around 8:00 and went to Riverside Mill for breakfast. Brandon and I both got omelets, but I only took a picture of mine, since he gets weird things in his omelets, and I only get yummy cheddar and ham!

It was pretty good, I'm not a big fan of those potatoes though, you would think a place like Disney would know how to make decent home fries (or hash browns, whatever you like to call them!) but I'm guessing these are pre-made and they get them by the ton, haha? :rotfl2:

When we were finished, we hopped in the car and were off to Downtown Disney again! I know we were just there the night before, but there were a few things I had to buy, and we didn't have any other time to go back!

We started at my favorite store in all of Disney World, the Days of Christmas!

I could LIVE in this store! Seriously, the CM's who get the privilege to work here must be the happiest people alive, because if I got to work there, I don't know how I could live with myself, knowing I have the best job on EARTH!!! Disney and Christmas, my 2 favorite things in life, and to be surrounded by that for your JOB must be amazing!

Since I browsed the night before, I didn't have to wander around before I found what I wanted, this perfect ornament:

I love it because it has classic Disney characters, the Castle, Mickey balloons, and the MONORAIL!!! It's one of my favorite ornaments ever! I think I say that every year, about whatever ornament I end up buying, but it's true, I do love this one a bit more than others!

I thought I bought a few other ones, but maybe not! Did I show ornament restraint on this trip or something, lol?

When we left the Christmas store, we went in another favorite of mine, the Art of Disney! Luckily, Brandon loves this store too so I didn't have to hear any grumbling from him! Everything is just SO nice in there, I wish I was a millionaire so I could buy it all! Disney art in every inch of my house! :thumbsup2

I know I was really tempted to buy one of these

but for some reason I didn't, and looking at them now, I wish I did! How cute are they, especially the one with the seasons? Adorable! :cool1:

I loved this, because I'm obsessed with the fairies from Sleeping Beauty

but it was really, really expensive! And then Brandon showed me this, and I just about had a heart attack, because hello, Nightmare Before Christmas is one of the best movies ever, and Jack Skellington is basically ignored in WDW (of course, this year, he and Sally will be doing meet and greets at MNSSHP and I can't believe I can't do MNSSHP this year!!!!)

Awesome, right? Jack Skellington is so amazing!

We left the art store without buying anything, somehow, and we went into Goofy's for a minute, because I wanted some chocolate.

OMG everything in there looks SO good!

The apples that are covered with all of that candy and caramel and whatever else they slather on there always look SO good to me, but then I remember, oh yeah, there's an apple underneath, so that kind of makes me NOT buy one! I'd like to try one someday, but I feel like I'd be disappointed! They're really pretty, though, and yummy looking!

I was contemplating buying a cake pop, but I couldn't decide if I really wanted one or not (I know, life or death here, right? :rotfl2:) and we left without me buying anything.

We then went into World of Disney, and I bought a few things, including this guy

a tiny little Perry the Platypus. I love Perry, I have 3 stuffed Perry's in various sizes, I've been meaning to put the small one in my car, but I always forget! He's just so cute!

We made a quick stop into Basin, because I love that store, even though I hardly ever buy anything (although now that I've discovered the joy of their shampoo and conditioner, and bath bombs, that will change on my next trip!) I have to go in just to drool over it all!

I liked how they had Christmasy displays even in Basin in mid November, I love how Disney is just immersed in Christmas no matter where you go!

We were getting ready to leave Downtown Disney and go back to POR, but then we decided we had to go to Earl of Sandwich one last time! I wanted to get another Holiday Sandwich but I thought that might be a little crazy, since I just had one the night before, so I tried something new, The Original.

It's just roast beef, cheddar and horseradish sauce. It sounds good, but it was kind of meh, to be honest. I've never felt that way about an EoS sandwich, so it was surprising that I didn't love it, the roast beef just wasn't that great! At least now I know to stick with the Holiday Sandwich or the tuna melt!

Once we finished our sandwiches, I decided that I did, in fact, need a cake pop before we left, so it was back to Goofy's for a minute! I took it to go rather than scarfing it down right there, but as soon as we got back to POR, I ate it even though I wasn't really hungry.

It was pretty good, I actually liked the ears better than the actual cake part of it. The ears are made of marshmallow and they are coated in white chocolate, so I loved that part. The cake was chocolate, and while it was good, it wasn't great. I like Starbucks cake pops much more!

We hung out for the afternoon and watched Stacey and then before I knew it, it was time to get ready for dinner, and then Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party!!! :cool1:

Up next...Christmas in the Magic Kingdom!

Oh my...that omelet looks soooooooooooooooo good. I agree on the potatos...not a big fan.

Love shopping at DTD. Love the smell in Basin (I usually get Des a souvenir there). I love your Perry...he is very cute.

We are not going to get to Earl of this trip again, I'm afraid. But if we get a crappy day we will certainly try.

I love that your TR is still going on! Makes me so happy!

Although, the fact we didn't meet up in Disney, still makes me super bummed!!! Lets make that Disneyland trip happen!:lmao:

Feel free to drag this TR out as long as you like! (After all, I'm still doing an Oct. 2011 TR & I started my PTR back when I didn't know when I'd be going back...gotta have something going at all times on the DIS, right? :rotfl:)

That is a really cool ornament you got. I love that store too.

That art store is really fun to look around. I agree -- we'd get a lot of things there if we were millionaires.

Too bad you didn't love your sandwich! Everything I've tried has been good. Oh, well. Looks like you had a pretty good morning anyway.

And yay for Christmas in the MK! :santa:

I love Disney Cake pops but I agree the marshmallow ears are my favorite part. I cannot wait to read about your MVMCP!

Oh Jen - I hope you are able to pull off a December trip or at least get another trip planned. It's tough when you don't have a Disney trip on the horizon. Then the boards are torture.

I absolutely love that pin. It's adorable.

Wait - there is an EOS sandwich that is just "meh"? I didn't think that was possible. :confused3

Those cake pops are so cute!

I LOVE that ornament!!!!!!! Sssooo cute!!!!!!

I still have yet to eat at EoS! LoL

The cake pops with vanilla or red velvet are the best, in my opinion :)

Still crossing my fingers and toes your December trip is a go!!! <3 :)

I bought a key chain that has almost the exact same design as your ornament, and I bought it for the same reasons you did. :goodvibes

I love that artwork with the four parks!

I really hope you are able to make your December trip happen. pixiedust: Mostly because I know how important it would be for you, but also a little selfish because I love reading your TR's! :goodvibes

Okay I really love that ornament you picked out. Like really REALLY love it! It is like all things quintessentially WDW wrapped into one perfect ornament! Please don't take offense if I hunt one down on our October trip & copy you. ;)

If I had dispensable funds and lots of display room, I would go CRAZY in Art of Disney! They have some truly amazing art work there, of course all for an insane amount of money. :lmao: I love going in there, but man do I hate not being able to leave with one of everything.

Love that ornament! It kinda looks like a pin almost, hahaha. Too bad your EoS sandwich wasn't the best... but that cake pop looks yummy! Yay for MVMCP!!
