No FP+ for us, so would like some feedback...

Just confirmed with Disney that the type of ticket my husband and I will be using in November needs to be picked up at Will Call and cannot in anyway, shape or form be linked to our MyDisneyExperience account ahead of time. This means, of course, no advance FP+ selections for us, even though we are staying on site at the AKL.

Has anyone been to the parks lately with absolutely no FP+ bookings made ahead of time? Were you able to get on rides like the Mine Train, Space Mountain, BTMR, etc... without having to wait too long in the standby lines? In the past, we were the 'power rope drop' type of people, who always managed to do a huge amount of riding in the first hour the parks were open.

Feedback from those who've 'been there, done that with no advance FP+ bookings' would be very much appreciated!

That strategy is still valid.

I have to ask...

"Who" is "Disney" in this case,
and exactly what kind of ticket are you planning to use?

Our last trip in May we added a day while there and booked fp day of no problem. Mine train was just a few days from opening though...

Once you have your tickets in hand when you get to WDW, you should be able to add them to your MDE and set up FPs then. Sure, you'll be behind the game, but can't imagine that there wouldn't be anything you want available. I planned all my FP 12 days out from our trip and could get every ride we wanted (except 7DMT and A&E are no go). Everything else still had plenty of openings. And I even tried to change something a few days later and it still looked like there were plenty of the headliners at MK.

For whatever it's worth, I had issues linking an AP voucher, and the person in the call center was adamant I couldn't do it. She finally agreed to transfer me to IT, and they got me set up really quickly and easily.

Also, as others have mentioned, once you get there and get the tickets, link them to MDE and schedule your fastpasses for the rest of your trip. Maybe you won't get the most popular rides, but certainly don't assume you won't get anything!

My parents had the same issue when they went in late May and couldn't switch their ticket until they arrived. It ended up working out just fine. Of course, they weren't trying to see Anna and Elsa...

I can't speak for the OP, but I know that TA reduced rate tickets are treated in this manner - pick up at will call with no linking to MDE in advance.
