No Expiration Tickets From 1989

Hello,
About 2 months ago we booked a magic your way package with dining plan and plus option. We have been getting into planning our trip and I asked my dad if we could borrow this book he bought at Disney World back in 1989. We just happend to come across these complimentary 1 day Passport tickets that have No Expiration stamped on them. Apparantly my father recieved these because of an issue he had at the parks and had forgotten about them. Anyway, any advice on how we could get some use out of these?

What a find!! Lucky you!! Unfortunatly I don't know if they are going to help you on this trip, I guess that would depend on how many days your passes are for and how many days you are staying. If you have an extra day you could always use for park entry or if you only have 2 or 3 days of plus options you could use it on something you haven't done (TL, BB, DQ, PI, WWSC). If you can't find a way to use it this trip, I would just put the ticket away and then you just have to make the sacrafice and be FORCED to return to WDW . Just grin and bear it if it comes to that.

YES!!! The ticket or tickets are still available for admission. They were the
tix that had no EX date on them. You can still use them! I have a handful of the tix. Used though!

Thanks for the quick responses! I guess what I really need to know is how do I use them? Do I need to trade them in for equivalent MYW tickets? Can I trade them in for a credit on the package I already booked or can I only get park admission tickets?

Take them to any Guest Relations window at the theme parks or DTD. They will exchange it for a MYW one day ticket with hopping at no charge. The old one cannot be used as is because it predates the magnetic strip changeover. It's really a simple transaction that's done all the time.

Sorry, no. You cannot apply any old tickets to packages as a package must be paid for in full before your arrival. And in your case, if the tickets are marked complimentary, that means they have zero value for anything but getting you into the park(s) for that one day you use them.

As Goldenoldie said, take them to guest relations. We had 2 old tickets from 1994 1 adult, 1 child w/no expiry that we exchanged at MK in sept. We only used 1 day, so the other day is still good. Woohoo!

If you are spending 4 to 10 days in the theme parks it is better to book or expand (upgrade) your package ticket to cover the whole vacation and not use the 1989 ticket.

Save the 1989 ticket for a quick weekend trip or a trip where you are using only leftover tickets.

There used to be a rule (and may still be) that only the theme parks that were open at the time the ticket was issued can be visited on that ticket. In other words (if the rule still applies) you could use it at MK or Epcot, but not the Studios or AK.
