No big discounts for May?

It seems like we chose a bad time of year to go...in terms of discounts! We did get a "room only" discount, of about $100ish, but nothing significant like free dining. Is this typical for May? Does anyone know of any other discounts I might have missed?

It was only in the very recent past that Disney offered much of a discount during the summer months (May, June, July and early August). Disney doesn't need to make huge offers like free dining for periods when the kids are out of school. So I'm not surprised by the lack of any kind of package deal or significant room-only discount rate.

Unfortunately you haven't missed anything as far as discounts. Disney isn't offering anything fantastic for May. There is a FD code out there for those fortunate to recieve it. It's for QS at the value and moderate hotels though. So if you are wanting the regular dining plan for free you will have to wait as of now. But we can hope right?

We wanted to go early May but the current discount will not cause us to "jump" on that deal. So we have changed our plans and will wait for fall. We are trying to decide if we should take the FD for September or wait for a little later, like October or November...
