The last Enchanted Window from the Disneyland Diamond Anniversary has been unveiled, and it features the 1992 Disney film Aladdin. It always surprises me how complex these things are.

These have all been amazing. I wish WDW could get something like this. Imagine how many people will just walk right past these without noticing them.

I know. The rides are great and everything, but it's the little details like these windows that make Disney parks so special. Hopefully they'll make their way to MK some day.

Star Wars Final numbers:

$247 Million North America opening (#1, besting Jurassic at $208 Million).
$528 Million Worldwide opening (#1, besting Jurassic at $525 Million) - and Star Wars does NOT include China which gave over $100 Million to Jurassic.

Now its time to watch the ongoing numbers. For the next 2 weeks, every day is like a Friday. It'll take time to see what happens, but the next big numbers are how quick to $1 Billion, and can it top the $2.8 Billion for Avatar.

China should be interesting to watch. As it's been previously stated, I don't think they ever bought into the Star Wars concept.

2 factors i think change that.

1) The top 50 grossing movies of all time in China have been released since 2009.
2) Star Wars has only ever released the Prequels in China. Revenge of the Sith made $9 Million in China in 2005. Total receipts that year for China was $230 Million. 2015 is on pace to bring in $5 Billion. Thats a 22x growth. We are not dealing with the same scale here.

Disney has done a major marketing push for this movie, and the international demand/reviews will likely increase the demand in China. They might see another $100 Million opening weekend once China drops. I think the old "they don't know Star Wars" is likely not a factor anymore.

A look at Disneylands security changes and more

Hmmm...interesting. For those that have never been to Disneyland - the security checkpoint is actually prior to you get to the plaza between the two parks, so if you are hopping from one park to the other there is no need to repass through security.

However, this makes me curious as to how they are handling the lesser entrance points - these are the entrance that is within the Grand Californian to DCA, and the "entrance" that is getting on the Monorail in Downtown Disney. These less busy points are also fairly narrow areas. I am not sure how they will handle putting in metal detectors in these areas. Would be curious to know for our upcoming trip. (Now less than 2 months away.)

I don't know if they are even adding that extra security to those other entrance points. I know international gateway in Epcot hasn't been doing it.

There was a metal detector and the CSC Security staff in yellow vests at IG this morning.
