The punchline being Millenials don't actually watch TV.
That right there would be your problem.

He's been writing the script. He's changed the script numerous times. What? They haven't started yet? Damn... I wonder if Cameron is a little over-confident regarding the ''guaranteed'' success of the sequel.
This is Disneys way of trying to get even better than 90% occupancy rates.Sounds like quite a few flight changes at short notice. Don't think it will take.

Actually he's not writing the scripts. He has three different writers writing each of the three sequels. He is involved heavily in story, but I am not sure he's going to have a writing credit.
One has to wonder how this is all going to turn out. While the movie was a massive hit, it's kind of hard to find someone that actually likes it. Don't get me wrong, I am excited for Pandora in DAK, and I love James Cameron, but I am not fully convinced on this one.
Well I know he has at least turned down the script forcing a rewrite. I agree though that I'm not convinced either.Actually he's not writing the scripts. agreeThere are plenty of people who like _Avatar,_ they're just not passionate about it the way the people who hated it are. Hardly uncommon. Now whether the concept extends to three more movies, I'm not sure. But on the other hand Cameron's track record shouldn't be dismissed. If the scripts are decent I think it will do fine, though any scifi that comes out after Star Wars is probably going to be seen as a "failure" from a box office perspective.
I've actually never seen it so I have no horse in the race and besides people who get so upset about movies that they literally will them to fail make me laugh anyway.
Well, if the second script gets the same treatment as the first one did, may the Pandora spirits be in Cameron's favor. The film is heavily criticized for its resemblance to both Disney's Pocahontas and Atlantis. Perhaps a little bit too much. It'll be a visual delight, though.
or evil person has ultimate weapon and plans to destroy worldThe Pocahontas thing is just typical internet snark. It's not like the story was original for Pocahontas either. Simplify a story enough and you can match it up with anything.
Young peasant is befriended by mysterious wizard and given a magic sword... Sound familiar?

It's funny - while I get those - I always thought it much more derivative of Dances With Wolves. Of course every movie is a combination of ideas from other movies pretty much.
