This is a good thing!
I wish they would bring back Mo Rockin. :rockband:They were awesome and always had a crowd. I still can't believe they replaced them with this group.:crazy2:

I way preferred B'net Al Houwariyate.

It seems to me that Epcot is just moving to short term (one year?) contracts for acts, so I'm looking forward to seeing what they do next throughout the World Showcase. On the whole though, I'd rather see classical performances from the countries than warmed-over 'fusion' acts.

We used to see the mermaids glowing in the water at the beginning of the ride & we didn't after the refurb:(

Didn't see the mermaids last week either, and I remember looking for them after I saw them on a youtube video. I was really bummed when I heard them but the water was still dark.

The BBB at World of Disney is going to be moving over to Once Upon a Toy. Starting November 1st construction will start in once upon a toy to convert the back two rooms to the new boutique. No word when this will be officially done.

The Morimoto Asia Street food window will not be open until next year when the rest of the area is completed near STK.

Can you clarify what you mean by soaked so I'll know what to expect when I go back? Are we talking, as if you stood waist high in a pool - or are we talking in, as if you were standing in a moderately hard rain for 15 seconds? Or something even lighter? Maybe I'm lucky, but I've never even gotten what I consider soaked on Splash, we I ride it 4-5 times per trip. The worst I've seen is the front of my thighs are moderately wet, a few splashes on my shirt, and my face might be a little wet. But I am also a guy with short hair, so if you have long hair I can see how the face/head getting wet would be considered soaked.

We went on Pirates twice on our trip last week...didn't get wet either time (outside of a few minor sprinkles). We did sit in the back but I honestly don't recall seeing anyone exit the ride "soaked".

The weight variable seems to have a LOT to do with it... it seems there is a correlation between those reporting they get 'soaked' every time versus those who never get wet at all.

In the pics of the castle construction, just to the rear left of the castle is a large tarp. What construction is that?

I rode it last night. I was the only one in the front row and I got fairly wet, mainly on my legs but my hoodie sleeves has splashes as well (I do duck when I go down the hill though, so I'm not sure if my face would have been splashed). This was at 11 at night, and my jeans were basically dry by the time I walked around to frontierland. Maybe weight influences how far back the water splashes? The front row is going to get wet either way though.

I can't help thinking that they could have fixed this if they put a bit more effort into it. Such as adjusting the size/depth of the splash pool, or changing the shape of the bows of the boats.

It sounds like they've turned a 5-star, crowd-pleasing favorite attraction into a ride that some people will start avoiding because they don't want to walk around for the rest of the day with a wet bottom ...

Somebody in this case should have said, "Yeah it'll be over budget, but this is a ride we can't afford to screw up." Like they said at DL Anaheim when they changed the boats.

The fact that the boats were sent to Orlando, and Orlando is apparently stuck with them, unfortunately says something about the corporation's attitude toward WDW and its fans.
