It's going to be interesting to see how they implement the FP+ system at DL. I really can't see people booking their FP's+ 6 months in advance over there.
I don't think it will be the same as the WDW system I really think it's going to be day of only but electronically.

I didn't see it noted in there - the Christmas lights are installed, the crane is gone, and the walkway is open again (it looks like that happened this weekend, so I may have just missed the update on here)
The Lights were also only installed at night this year so no crane and castle pics. The lights have also been added to the new castle turrets in the hub.

After spending the last 10 months in WDW and this past weekend in DLR, I definitely missed MagicBands. Part of it is that WDW is built for larger crowds and understands how to be expedient, but the process of park entrance/FP redemption with the paper passes seemed so tedious. I have never had to wait in as long a line to enter Magic Kingdom as I did to enter DL, I'm positive a major part of that is the process of paper passes. Some of the lines to get fastpasses were also longer than I have ever seen any kiosk out here. Radiator Springs (outlier, I know) had at least a 30 minute line for a good portion of the morning until they ran out.

I don't think that MDX as it is in WDW would work in DLR, but a version of it wouldn't be terrible IMO

RSR at least needs it. We waited in line for over an hour in summer 2013 for our FP, then close to 2 hours for the ride in the FP line:scared1: At least it was way more fun than Test Track. If I had to wait that long for TT, I would go insane.

especially at Hollywood and Vine which is not notorious for great food.

I don't know. That picture of the chocolate fountain always makes me want to go there. I have never been. I have heard that they just have some chocolate covered strawberries and that you can't really dip your own:(

Yes - I generally think Disney food is very good to great - but Hollywood and Vine and Chef Mickey's are the two restaurants that bring to mind dinner at Old Country Buffet. Now that our daughter is grown up I will not be going back for many many years. (And their are Disney Character buffets I like - Crystal Palace / Tusker House )
